It sort of drew me back to the OG story during the tower sequence when Tantai Jin finally learned she sacrificed her eye despite her hatred towards him and never told him about it nor asking anything in return. This was the 1st time he regretted his action even with the evil bones' influence because he always thought people are selfish due to his environment and Susu/Xiwu was the first to do this out of selflessness at the cost of her life.

Yes! we so need the uncut version. Youku better fixed the editing for the fans sake who are willing to pay to watch them.
I think this was also the first time for Tantai Jin seeing someone who is willing to help the poor without asking anything to return. This was something his caretakers failed to teach him as they goaded him to take what was rightfully his in return of their reward

-Xiwu taught Tantai Jin to draw Sketch talisman that showed the beautiful landscape.
-Tantai Jin couldn't believe she had fallen asleep during her teaching then ended up being tied by her.
-Her reaction of finally getting spanked & scolded her youngest brother is hilarious. We really don't see much the reverse sibling role like this in the Xinxia dramas and it's refreshing to see this.
-XiWu kept her promised to get Tantai Jin his new clothes and saw her helping the unfortunate saleswoman by buying all her fireworks and give her some food to keep her warm for the new year. This was the 1st step for Tantai Jin to learn how to help the common people in the future

After TTEOTM, my craving for dark mature romance has started to grow, I watched a bit BFTB with my mom who is also a drama fan but it didn't satisfied my cravings. I also told her to wait for TTEOTM to have a proper editing once it will be on Netflix Canada because I know she would hate it if she sees the clumsy editing.

This was the episode that made me enjoyed Xiao Lin as he who became Tantai Jin's sworn brother who protected him. The nightmare chose him to taunt him into committing suicide showed how much Tantai Jin looked up to him.

I love that the drama changes that aspect from the original story since the OG Tantai Jin wanted to kill him despite he never bullied or humiliated him just to have everything from him including Bingchang while Xiao Lin barely met him until the nightmare event and decided that he should be dealt with due to his brutal schemes and didn't bother to help him when he was about to drown in the river alone.

What I hated the most about that Tantai Jin was that he continuously mocked Xiwu of the fact she was used to kill XL during the palace sequence. He deserved the pain during the tower sequence when she left him for good as Xiwu, leaving him all alone with the regrets he did to her and nothing he'll do would bring her back alive

I just saw the new chapter of the manhua version. Tantai Jin is sooo unlike our Xixi character & sooo alike his original version. He is dead set to make her lose hope before killing her but is frustrated that she never did & hated the weird sensation her current self is making him feel.
Next week the series takes a break & will resumed on the 18th.

Does MDL even allowed body shaming reviews. Obviously that anti didn't bother to understand that Tantai Jin was supposed to have lean but skinny body since he was barely had enough food to survive and the actor nailed his looks after what he had to go through with the diet he had during his injury from his last drama.
I respect CLD for her work here since this is her first villainous role but don't shame BL. She worked hard playing 4 different characters like LYX and she nailed them.

Watching the love scene over & over again in ep 39 reminded me of one other thing the drama didn't add into the adaptation. The acacia flowers. They were important for Tantai Jin's growth as they reflected his feelings towards Susu/Xiwu in the original story. The way he smelled her face then her neck made me think also he would also miss the flowers perfume she wore all the time

It should have been honest with the audio preview when it will happened. With the sh&%t storm that is affecting the whole tv production now with Wuxia & Xinxia theme dramas, it should have taken advantage of that clip to make us less anxious

HAHAHA! Kinda Funny that I 1st expected the drama would have a lot of shirtless scenes since I read & listen to the series but, it turned out all MLs were too dumb to take of the clothes for their women that the gender opposites had to do it for them.

I realized that all the females leads were very bold in stripping clothes. Susu with Tantai Jin. Mo Nv with Gongye JiWu. Pian Ran, on the other hand, is a diva who is not ashamed taking her clothe off in front of men especially the ones she loves

As a mental disability individual myself, there is a clear difference in their psychology. Tantai Jin suffered from anti social behavior and slow comprehension which is a condition where the individual have a much slow awareness to the everyday life. Which I have.
Chu Mo is someone who is egoistic, manipulative, void & cold blooded psychopath

This was the 1st I notice Susu/XiWu might be bolder than her OG self when she searched Tantai Jin body while he was in the hot tub.
