I read the novel and loved it. But to continuously think of this drama as an adaptation and compare it, is something I feel we shouldn't do. The novel has 250 + chapters, the drama has 36 episodes with each being around 34-43 minutes. Its not possible to include everything.
They have retained many amazing parts, yes they did some changes, but I think that's okay! My only question is though I am loving the previews of ep 28 and 29, when are they going to confess their love. I mean its high time, come on, we deserve at least 7-8 episodes of sweet romance plus marriage.

If they follow the novel, there are post marriage scenes. I mean the last battle, is after the marriage.

FL said yes. She should have said No. ML was not ready to hear anything, after she said yes. But then, how would they stretch the misunderstanding, if everything gets sorted out.
But at least we have the previews of ep 26 and 27. So the misunderstanding clears of soon, we just need to wait till Sunday.
Honestly, can't blame the ML, anyone would have reacted the way he did. I think when he clears his mind and calms down later, he will understand.

In ep 4, he found out that she was a woman. They are not officially a couple as of now, but they have fallen in love with each other, after pretending to be a couple in the last few episodes.

Just remember- FL is a woman. She can have womanly desires. Her family forced her to become a male heir, that was not her choice. At the end of the day, they want to portray man or woman, both should have a choice to decide for their own. A man can learn literature and be a scholar, while a woman might want to become a General. That does not mean the woman can have no other female desires.
The FL finally is realizing that she is a woman, who can fight and do anything else she wants to. She has a CHOICE now!! Something the ML always reminds her!!

Seriously!! The only sane comment I saw today was yours!! She sewed a pouch for the man she loves, she cooked for the man she loves. She did it because she wanted to. Since childhood, her family forced her to fight, if she was given choice she might have wanted to do something else too.

Though the drama started of slow, and did lag behind for the first 15 episodes (as per me), the pace changed and it really got better at the end. Especially the ending. It was just not wrapped up in one episode, which is mostly the case for dramas. Wang Xing Yue, He Luo Luo and Deng Kai were too good. I liked Julia too contrary to what others say.
I am just happy they got a happy ending!!

Best scene in ep 21-
1. Dudu eats entire bowl of salty noodles happily.
2. Then goes on to tear his own clothes, to make her stay with him longer. FL realized still went on with it even insisting him to open his clothes.

Can't believe we have to go through their cold war after all these scenes. Breaks my heart.

There is no intense gaze, falling in love, kiss scenes. Like no romance as such. But the leads are childhood sweethearts, they love, care and protect each other. There is a misunderstanding plot, but it clears soon.
