Yeah just not you. I don't remember hating a character so much as much as I hate YCX, and I am even a fan of the actor. Its disgusting, and its meant to be disgusting, because we all are hating on it. I don't on which episode you are, but if you have watched till when he speaks about his brother, you would understand YCX doesn't understand love, he wants control, he sees them the same. For him power influence is everything because his motive was proving to his father that he is capable as his dead brother. But that's doesn't defend his actions, ever. According to the new calendar we got, he gets forced to free her in ep 16-17, that's this tuesday. And from then, a character development arc begins. The truth is we all knew, like this was always marketed like this, so we all knew what we are tuning in for. Its engaging, and we are going to move forward from this plot soon.

But she meets with an accident and looses her memories. Then they marry without her memories, have a good life, before her memories come back, and she misunderstands him, and there is another separation, before she finally decides to be with him. They get together, have a child, but then there is war and stuff as well.

They are peak to me. Actually I am more of a green flag lover girl, that drama pretty straightforward, cute leads, was purely my vibe. This drama is straight out of dark romance fiction. I am glad CL took it because he has never done something like this, and he receiving appreciation for his acting as well. But some things in this drama are too much even for me, like the current arc. I won't say I am hating it, it fits with his character and the story, but I understand people who feel its uncomfortable. This is a pretty messy, but its addictive as well. And because its fiction, I hope here he gets a good character redemption as well.

I don't think any of us, even the ones who are fans of the actor, or really articulated his thoughts well after today, felt the romantic scene. The car scene was not romantic. It was a scene to show how ML is a scumbag, how he doesn't know difference between love and control, and how the meaning of consent is not in his dictionary. It was also to show a huge difference between Pingjun who wants a pure equal love, and YCX who just wants to cage the person he claims to love. No one romanticized the behaviour, at least in the comments I have seen. Yes there might be some who love dark romance to this extent, but mainly people felt disgusted, and I feel the writers wanted to show that. I think writers are pushing Yu Changxuan to a breaking point before starting his redemption arc. In fact if you watch the trailer released before the drama release, they actually showed his breaking point there as well. Its soon we just have to hold our patience for 2 more days hopefully.
But this is the first time I am manifesting a couple separation mid drama. Just separate these two now, for their peace and ours, before making them meet again when YCX grows up from being just a manchild.
