She is. But haha I doubt she has not kept a second plan for that. Remember she told her arranged date how the art thing was only for money laundering lol. With the amount of profit and success she has received I think she has other businesses or ways for herself. Like she is too smart. But I do agree to you. Ots just that she never plays victim, always gives back to people, behaves in a way that I am always awed by, hence I don't pity her.

I don't even pity the FL, yeah she faced some criticism, but she as such doesn't lack anything. Her father and brother are not nice to her, but they don't harm her as such. Neither she is deeply attached to any of them to face a betrayal. She is strong, minds her own business and gives it back to people. She is enjoying her life trying to gain more power.
ML same, he can choose to go away but isn't able to due to his nephew whom he likes. He doesn't even want the throne or power as such. A little trauma/ threat to his life maybe but its not the focus as of now.
Both FL and ML aren't pitiable characters as such from my perspective. But yes they lack love from families. They do not have anyone of their own, there is nothing like family to them. That is why they would turn to each other to fill that space.

FL's character is the one I really enjoy. Yup she is sometimes annoying but I like that in her. She is selfish, greedy, power obsessed, self centered, powerful and rich. She is everything I always wanted a FL to be, but generally it would be a character of SFL who later turned evil. So I am glad our FL is everything of that but not evil. I absolutely love her. I really enjoy her scenes with her secretary.

I completely love Steve Noh. Its just that I really wish he and the leads remain friends, I get disgusted by stretched out love triangles. Like I am speculating he wouldn't turn evil, but some disruptions can be expected in such a scenario also going by the trailer. Like FL really likes him as a friend, is sweet and natural with him without any tactics, I like their scenes. So them being friends throughout since childhood to adulthood without feelings, is something I consider normal. Like genuine friendships between different genders, is a trope I really like, but kdramas don't do that often.

Okay off topic, but I saw a small Vincenzo reunion of the two office attendants of FL in episode 2, and it made me so happy.
Also I did not expect Namjun here, I really liked how he rejected her. Yup polite and straightforward.

It would be a crime to do a genre with a palace trope and not cast Jo Jae Yun and Park Joon Myun, haha I am glad I see them here. And many others. I love the supporting cast.

I am not even considering the second leads, because I guess everyone knows them. But the entire supportive cast? From court ladies, to personal assistants, office attendant, to that Lord yeong something, family of FL, they are all known faces. Like I almost have seen 80% of the cast before in many roles.
This is truly a high budget project with so many huge known faces, aesthetics and cinematography.

I hope they maintain the comedy part and do not turn it into sorrowful, like its Byeon Woo Seok and IU, and I have traumatic experiences due to their respective roles previously. Them being very happy and cheerful is already very frightening to me! Huhh!

Also I love the Queen Dowager/Queen Mother/SFL. I mean I get people are angry on her. But I got a beautiful woman, who is obsessed with power, wants to secure her son, wants to defeat the ML through any means, but is not obsessed with ML. Ahh, love such women! My last drama of this genre was King Eternal Monarch, and contrary to popular notions, I loved it, its still one my top 5 kdramas. That one also had a power obsessed woman, and I love this plot.
Ahh, rich beautiful people, palace politics, fake to real love, I already love this.
Just hoping Steve Noh's character and ML do not have a lot of problems over FL, I mean they are already good friends, I would hate an unnecessary love triangle. Please!!

Also did I mention how pretty our leads are, and I absolutely love their badass characters, huhh, finally leads wanting things for themselves, being a little selfish and giving it back to people.

I am sorry for ranting so much but its my comeback to kdramas after long , and I am pretty much excited. Can't wait for tomorrow!

In my country previously we had access to Disney via Hotstar, but a year back they terminated their agreement, and Hostar turned into Jiohotstar. So we have no access to Disney. Huhh.

The project is of MBC, the streaming rights went to Disney, they aren't the producers/owners though. I think it would have been convenient if the streaming rights went to Netflix instead.

They should have released this on Netflix, that's accessible, convenient and user friendly for most. This is one of the most hyped projects in this year, with a large cast, actors with huge fandoms even internationally. Wdym there are countries where you cannot even watch this without pirating. What a weird thing to do!

Also hoping it will finally wake me up from the Kdrama slump, I am going through since the last 5 months.

Jiohotstar has not officially confirmed its airing, so till now we don't know. We have to wait till 10th of April to confirm it.
Disney plus subscription should be taken separately if its not available in Jiohotstar.

Its now Jio Hotstar in India, so release of some dramas like this one might vary. I actually just knew Disney plus, after you mentioned I realized its also in Disney plus hotstar so we might have a chance. But till now Jio Hotstar has not officially confirmed the presence of this series in its platform- if we search Perfect crown in jiohotstar, there is nothing, not even the trailer.
