Title Beyond the Bar Spoiler
They couldn't truly get justice to her sister-only by stooping down to his awful level they were able to save…
Ep 10 about the girl, I completely agree. Even if I agree to the assault somehow (10 years later) with the brick. The girl was absolutely careless to search for a lighter ignoring the road. Instead of that bully, there could be an old person, a child mistakenly on the road too.
Ep 9 also, but the doctor did deny to treat a person, which is wrong I get that. But that did not lead to the killing of the person. He died way later. At least what I interpreted was the doctor tried to save him but could not in the flight. So she shouldn't be held accountable for that.

About the 3 girls laughing at the video. As a bystander it might seem wrong. But if it was my family member, my friend who was a victim of a domestic abuse, and he/she finally gathered the courage and beat the other person back, I would have loved and enjoyed it too. That was the case of those 3 girls, the woman was a sister to them so they loved how she fought back, which for me is self defense. The joy came from satisfaction, about how he got his karma.

Its all about defending their own clients. The ML even told the FL that protecting people he loves or wants to care for, he would do it regardless of the truth or morality. So I think they want to show that its not the job of the lawyers to find out the truth or uphold justice, or follow morals or ethics. Its just defending their own clients regardless of them being a perpetrator or victim. This is common in society, lawyers do represent murderers/rapists/terrorists. Just like a doctor regardless of the patient (criminal or not) should be bound to treat him, any lawyer would defend their clients.

About the doctor in ep 9, I think she would have treated him back in 2015 if she was not the doctor of the victim too. Though I agree to you she should not refuse a patient, but at that time, she was just a human. She cared for her patient so much, that she just wanted her perpetrator to die, but that doesn't mean she would kill him herself.

The show actually focuses on so many gray areas, different perspectives that its actually difficult for everyone to agree to one thing. But I completely get you and agree to you on majority of your points.

According to me, morals, truth all these are only for innocent people. I don't believe in the human rights of criminals. Or maybe I am a little barbaric. Haha!

saw the baby emoji on the schedule, they will have a baby together or someone become a baby or what 😭
In one of the upcoming scenes released, the FL was pregnant. So yeah they would have a baby.

Just my take on it- Lawyers do not care about ethics (mostly). Their only job is to defend their client. This is the reason why the ML fought the case of the person who did accident of a young boy seen by a teacher who had dementia/alzheimer. He doesn't need to know the truth, he needs to defend his client.
He also told the FL when FL told him the truth about her friend's sister, that he would pretend he did not hear anything. Also gave him his perspective that he would protect the people he loves, no matter what, within the legal boundaries.
Also if its some kind of violence, I wouldn't have enjoyed. But I absolutely loved when the woman hit her husband. So me as a bystander with no connection to the characters, if I can like it, people who are connected would surely like it. It would give them satisfaction. Just my perspective, not everyone thinks alike.

Yes, TXW is definitely good but Xu Kai has never disappointed me. To me he's been always the best ML even though…
I watched the drama for him. He is too good. I absolutely adore him. The screen time thing might be true. But sometimes its just the characters. Like here if the FL played a normal girl with no such demonic powers just like a side kick to the ML, then I wouldn't have liked her so much. But she is savage, powerful, clever(except for knowing about her evil cousin). So yeah such characters are very attractive.

I watched the drama for Xu Kai, have seen him in many dramas before and absolutely adore him. But this drama is such a Tian Xi Wei show (with no offense to my XuKai, I love him) . Like she ate and left no crumbs. This is my first drama of her, and she is absolutely delightful to watch.

I don't think what is morally right, should be the concern of any lawyer. Its upto them how they defend their clients, and do anything within legal boundaries to make sure their client is acquitted. Violence is never the answer or never justifiable but its easier said than done. For someone who went through it, their perception, feelings might be completely different, than a bystander. I don't know about Korean laws, but 2 years seems less. Like her attention was not on the road when the accident happened, so I thought it should be a little more than that. But yeah that's for the legal persons to interpret.
I am just surprised by the amount of diversified cases that they bring every episode and consider all the moralities behind it.
Can't believe next week would be the last of what we see of them.

Even in the drama, they have an age gap. So? What's the issue? They are actors, they have amazing chemistry even…
That's your individual preference completely. He is 44, he cannot look like 24. Neither he is playing a teenager. He is a senior lawyer of around 40. He looks amazing in that part. The drama is one of the most well written dramas of this year. I think the ML is fabulous.
But I get it, not all dramas are for everyone. No offense to you!

I am speaking about the drama. The FL is 28 in the drama, the ML is in his late 30s in the drama. It was mentioned.

HE is supposed to be her senior with so many years of experience while she is in her first year so it's logic…
Even if they showcase them having a romantic relation, I don't see what's the problem. People with 10-12 years gap date, get married. The fact is both of them fit in their roles, that should be enough I guess.

Who keeps casting this old ass actor with young women??? Gosh is he the only available actor in korea????
Even in the drama, they have an age gap. So? What's the issue? They are actors, they have amazing chemistry even though the romance has not been shown yet. Haven't you seen people with age gaps dating or getting married. Its a very common practice. The FL is not a teenager, she is 28 in the drama, and the ML in his late 30s.
The plot of the drama is of a young rookie lawyer getting trained by a senior lawyer. SO there should be an age gap.

It may be me, but personally, having a hot guy seeing flashes of his mom in me is kind of a turn off for me.
Same, I am glad someone thought like me. But in today's episode, even the grandmother of the King, thought of the last meal prepared by her mother after eating FL's dish. So I guess her dishes have that special touch to make people emotional or think about their loved ones' dishes.

Well is it even possible that their love story not go further...? She noticed him smiling... and he kept smiling...…
Well if they don't pursue that, it would be such an insane waste of chemistry after all the subtle hints throughout.

I still don't know if we will get to see a romantic angle between the leads, because even in ep 9, there is only mutual admiration till now. My intuition is that it would have a open ending, leaving it to the viewer's imagination of them ever uniting or not.
That wouldn't be something bad but I really believe, the makers wanted to give us few hints about them liking each other. I mean the insane chemistry, drunk scenes, handkerchief, the tea/coffee/beer dates, the stares, opening up about their pasts to each other. Especially today, the scene of the leads with the twin girls. Its such a big point, I believe the director wants to show. They could have showed them babysitting a single child, but no twins. Twins run in the family of the FL. The ML loves kids. They gave such a happy family vibe in that. I know, its pretty much to show love realization, confession, dating, marriage and even kids in the last 3 episodes, and they might not take that route and just keep it like this. But deep down, I think everyone want to wish for such an ending.
Even if I let go of other wishes, the ML deserves to be a father more than anything! Like just adopt a kid and get the happiness you deserve so much!

The drama is excellent. Generally we always talk about actors, but the scriptwriter and the director deserve so much appreciation for this show as well. Its such a well written and well directed. Oh my God, I have watched so many law based Korean dramas, I think this tops the list. I think its one of the most well written shows.

Why ML didn't recognize the traitor genaral when cut off his mask?? He already saw FL's face when she and him…
No ML never saw He Rufei's face. No one knew He Yan was He Rufei. He knew the masked guy as He Rufei. Yes we can point the height, figure and everything, but everyone did ignore that.

Lot of pressure on Shadow love now, because I don’t think the chemistry will be as good as this, but who knows…
I loved the male lead so much. But after this insane chemistry, I don't think I can grasp him with someone else easily. As much as I love the actor, they should give a gap of at least 1 month so that people can move on from the previous one. Releasing this now, would make people compare the two dramas.

No, one is exiled
No, I just mean after all the 36 episodes, even CZ would have wished death on himself. His life became utter failure after that. His exile, his suffering alone would be a hell for him.

Ru Fei, Ru Fei's father (only in the first few episodes, he was bad, but did not have a lot of scope later), Chancellor Xu Jing Fu (very important villain).
The Wuto officials, generals, I don't know their names, but they were scattered in different episodes, basically they were the enemy country against who the leads fight. There was also a spy in the garrison, and there was a father and son in 2-3 episodes during episodes 5-10 I guess. But these were not so important.
Chu Zhao was not a villain. He was annoying and clingy basically. He became worse in the last few episodes. So he was exiled.
