There have been observation about the pattern regarding the fame or scandal that the male actors seem to have in recent famous Chinese dramas (The Guardian, The Untamed, WOH). - 1 of the the two male leads will be involved in some kind of scandal; the other one will solely gain from the success of the drama. - The one who gains seems to be the one receiving capital backing, and continue receiving this kind of support. - The one who got in a scandal will be out of the picture for a couple of years, and will need to crawl their way back up.
Anyway, it was just some observation from netizens who started looking into this pattern in recent famous BL dramas after Zhehan was “killed off” overnight.
In Zhehan’s case, it seems the culprit wanted to kill him, socially and possibly in reality too. Death threat was sent to him and his mother. In some messages for him, it was cruelly suggested he committed suicide. Just unbelievable. And scary thing was, some actors actually committed suicide in the past due to those kinds of public opinion.

I think Zhehan’s case was one of a kind. He did a role as a fire-fighter, and was praised for it. He had another role as detective that was about to air right after WOH. He also did a role as Chinese special force in a movie, which was supposed to be aired after WOH too. But he was quickly framed and “killed off” socially, after he gained so much success from WOH.
There’s news about Shanghai court unfreezing one of Zhehan’s accounts, Shanghai Hanhong Film. It appeared one of the companies that claimed compensation for the loss of endorsements, Dentsu Investment, withdrew their claim.
Until Zhehan can come back on screen, we can enjoy his talent in singing and song writing (and fashion design too).
