Gus' house reminds me of Golden Blood. I like the first episode. This plot and trailer actually drew me in. I like the celebrity and normal person story. Plus, I really like First, so as long as it's decent, I will watch. Looking forward to the rest.

I have seen them be mentioned on Twitter among fans and whatnot. I am not a huge MaxTul fan, but I think that they have the ability to pull it off. MaxTul usually do more mature themes, but Addicted is not really mature. It's about two high-school boys who feud with each other, so there is an innocence/immaturity that's required in the characters that I have not seen MaxTul exhibit. Although, that doesn't mean that they can't do it.
With that being said, there is the Chinese series Stay With Me (https://kisskh.at/702599-innocent-playmates) airing soon that Chai Ji Dan (original author of Addicted) is working on.. Apparently, it's supposed to be a meta-remake of Addicted.. You can see that the actors they use are quite young, and I wouldn't call them feminine. However, they are not overly masculine and bro-energy like the original actors of Addicted.. It's all subjective (i guess) on who plays what well. But these actors are very far from the original Addicted actors.
So... I don't know.. Overall, not sure what to expect from anything.
These two are so cute, and I'm so glad they did a full season 2 with 12 episodes. I'm going to super enjoy this while it's airing! Can't wait to hear Akira call Shin an idiot 100 more times! 😊😊

I think that Ren is not letting Kazuma see his face because Ren's afraid to fall for him. Or, he's afraid of his true feelings being revealed. He says stuff like, "You probably don't want to with me because you're not gay." I can feel his insecurities. The reason Ren says that night was not special is not because he actually feels that way. He thinks that Kazuma is just being nice to him and has no romantic feelings. That's why when he grabs onto Kazuma and is vulnerable with him, it is so beautiful. He is vulnerable even in insecurity. Ren becomes even more beautiful in Kazuma's arms. I hope that the straight/gay issue is resolved soon and Ren doesn't have to feel torment because he falls for a "straight" guy.
Honestly, the fact that they were each other's firsts is so sweet. You can tell that Kazuma has been longing for Ren for years. I am looking forward to the slow-blossoming of their romantic love.
I think it's best described that he's a tsundere. Says the opposite of what he means most of the time.
I don't hold Japanese shows to high moral standards. Akira's personality is just meant to make a silly romcom, sweet vibes, and for a little gag. It's based on a manga. I don't think the show takes itself seriously. Maybe if you think that way, you'll be able to get through it.
Also, S2 is airing in three days, so if you wanna watch it airing live.. I also went back and watched this b/c of S2 announcement.

I've also seen both.. This show has a tsundere main character, and the guy pursuing him is a high-schooler that doesn't know how to give up!! Some elements and story-progression are different, but from an abstract lens.. They're totally similar.
This show in the middle for me was a 7 because it dragged so much with Akira telling Sakuma-sensei his feelings. I get it, but it could've happened way faster. Then after we got over this bump and Akira and Shin were back to flirting again.. an 8. That ending brought it to a 9!!!
He didn't even choose a university in Tokyo. He didn't even mean to give him that letter. It had me cracking up!!! Honestly, tsundere remains one of my favorite character architypes. It is frustrating when they drag the plot, but I love to see them fight. I was lowkey hoping when Shin asked Akira did he really mean what he said, he said "No!" and ran away 😂😂😂😂
The reason why I love tsundere plots and characters is that it creates my idea of a "perfect" love. Someone that will never give up on you: Shin. No matter you push them away and say mean things, that person understands that those are actually your way of showing affection. It was bizarre to me that Shin didn't realize how much Akira already fell for him. He really believed his words when he said he didn't want to be with him... Although, I respect Shin because he respected Akira's "wishes."
But in the end.. the originator of the tsundere character, Japan, pulls it off flawlessly. I just wish it was cut from 12 episodes to 10 or something similar to get rid of all that draggy Sakuma-sensei plot in the middle. His character is cute, but it was too long!!
The complaints about Gun's acting never cease.. He won me over with Golden Blood, so I will support him forever unless some crazy scandal comes out. For me, he always makes his partner shine brighter. Gun is always the main focus for me.
I like shows like this because they break what BL is "supposed" to be. I enjoy the fantasy element along with complex relationships. All of the relationships have potential, but we as humans always mess everything up. Maybe we just all hate ourselves.

It may be more simple such as Kawi goes to the future and Pisaeng moves on to be with some other guy. Maybe he is married to Pear, but he realizes that Pear is not who he really wants. But it could be more dramatic as you've stated as well.
I've especially loved how they've developed Pear's character and how there's more to her than meets the eye. She's not just sweet and helpful, but she is sorrowful and "bossy" as her dad explained it. Lol. She's still a sweet girl, but I am happy to explore the less perfect side of her. This may contribute to how Kawi feels about her in the future. You never know.
Kawi is so cute, and Pisaeng's mom slayed my life. Ep 6 was way better than I thought it was going to be. It seems next episode, he will go in the future and see how much he progressed. I like how clear Kawi is being with Pisaeng.. However, I think staying open to both Pear and Pisaeng will leave Kawi with a future or "present" he regrets.
Either, he will see his life with Pear is not as great as he thought.. or he will have a falling out with Pisaeng and Pisaeng is no longer in his life. What if worse, Pisaeng is still waiting by his side even if he marries Pear? Now that's insane.. I am very curious as to when and how Kawi will find the word "regret" because I KNOW this will happen.
