There are new faces almost everyday if you pay attention to smaller Thai productions. But with this being such an iconic show, I would be scared for new actors. It's possible to find great actors with little to no experience, but it is a risk!
I'm surprised how interested I am in this show. Patt looks more handsome to me every episode because he's such a green flag. This show is very light-hearted and unproblematic while avoiding being boring. This is a unique combination that makes me happy to watch a new episode every week.
But next week.. all I can say is the premise for next episode is interesting.
I have not been keeping up with KBLs.. I saw a clip of this on IG and was like.. "Woah! Is that Zuho!?" I guess SF9 isn't that shocking (at this point..). I think the most shocking kpop to BL at this moment is Leo from VIXX. Top just announced he's gone from Big Bang. Maybe he's next. Hahahah. That'll be the biggest BL of all time. But it probably wouldn't beat 2gether though. The biggest after 2gether.
Like many people watching this, my parents are divorced too. Actually, everyone in my family is divorced (grandparents, uncle, sister). That makes watching this show very interesting. I know that many people, even who's parents aren't divorced, have very bad perceptions of love. That is why I feel this show has tackled this issue of how divorce affects children in a unique way. I've never seen a BL give such a succinct and easy to follow story on this issue. It's very fresh and realistic even though it involves a fictional hearing loss disease! I don't know if I'll finish this show (b/c I drop most things I watch lol), but I think that this was very well done. It made me reflect on my life, and I felt that many scenes were hard for me to get through.
gmmtv won't do problematic shows like this, they cancelled one het show last year one because the FL suffered…
It's being produced by the studios Golden Dog and Hollywood Thailand. But saying GMMTV wouldn't contract over one of their actors because of that, sure.
I so agree with you. IMO Love Stage was an absolute trainwreck when compared to the manga or even the Japanese…
Since it is a joint production with Hollywood studios, I am hoping that studio will increase the value.
But you are right, I am having a hard time thinking of any Thai actors that would really fit Gu Hai or Luo Yin.. Is it a cultural thing? I don't know. Thai BL characters are just different than Taiwanese BLs leading to different types of actors I guess...
This comment section is beautiful. Krist said himself that he didn't like his character Botkawee for the majority of filming. I kind of watched with this in mind trying to figure out why. Right now it is not obvious; I wonder if will he make some bad/hurtful decisions in upcoming time loops... Excited to see the development.
So Botkawee didn't fail to get the girl. He drove the boy that might have been interested in him, into the arms…
Very sharp intuition from only one episode. I think with the time travel plot that this show will never fail to be interesting. I think the outcomes will seriously be different every time with every time loop! I say prepare for fun and heartbreak! I am ready to cry!!! π€§π€§π€§
Yeah, like, is he even attracted to Minoru or guys in general? Is he put off by Minoru's confession? He's difficult…
I do think that he likes Minoru, but what the comment said above me seems correct. You can tell he was hyperventilating and wanted to say something but couldn't. There is a chance that no matter who treated him nicely, that he would fall for that person and be happy about it. With that being said, I feel that he will be loyal to whoever he chooses.
So overall, I would just say it was okay. I've seen better and worse so.... I did enjoy watching Kun and Kiak…
I also wish the confession was in private. It being in public made it seem performative and less genuine. Honestly, it seemed like the writers were trying to give the most "surprising" and "unexpected" confession. Like.. Phu was so nervous that he ran away for 10 years.. How could someone like that confess in public of all places....
You can tell the same ppl made these decisions because like the confession.. the plane crash, grandma dying, Khunkao's potential partner being named Nan Fah, China, them postponing episodes.... IT'S ALL RIDICULOUS.
Also, if they make Khunkao a story, they are definitely gonna do all of these crazy plot elements again. It really seems as if these writers have no self-control and put in every crazy and impulsive idea that they have. They seemed to forget they were making a romance show and not Black Mirror.

I'm gonna watch it too though.
