Hah, you're welcome!Thank you for recommending I Do I Do, which I added to my watch list. I honestly debated whether…
By the way, the name of the male lead, Prince is quite pretentious and I watched Attention Love by accident but enjoyed it simply because of Joanne Tseng and the great music
This is a recommendation that I can stand behind

This is what I meant to watch before accidentally watching Attention Love

Pun intended lol

Hahaha. Attention Love I am not surprised about. The male lead actually calls himself Prince lol. Like I said, I am just a big fan of the actress, so I was not paying attention. Also, I enjoyed the music too.
Taiwanese dramas are shorter but usually lesser quality, if you want good Taiwanese dramas, I believe you have to limit yourself to award winning dramas like In Time With You.
I enjoyed Love and Pi for similar reasons as Attention Love but this time I am a fan of both leads lol. It had the best break up scene ever. It was so amicable and cute.
Sadly, as with most Taiwanese dramas, subs take too long, I recall watching most episodes more than once first without subs or incomplete subs lol.
Love and Spend was even worse since I had to wait almost a year between episodes for subtitles.
Anyway, it is supposed to be entertainment, Taiwanese dramas have shorter episodes but usually lower production values. Just pick Taiwanese dramas with stars that you like

Hahaha that is good. Personally, I am not a fan of reviews from supposed critics. Dramabeans and koalaplayground are popular websites. There is a third that escapes me.
You will have an open mind, which should make it easier to enjoy.
I forgot to recommend Doctor X. It is Japanese . Many criticized it for not being realistic but 7 years later, it is still one of the most popular dramas of the past decade. Sometimes, a drama just has to be fun. I will probably be the one who provides subtitles for the side story: Doctor Y

Hahaha I mistakenly thought there was rape in that and dropped it.
I have to agree most Taiwanese dramas qualify as idol dramas.
Japanese and Taiwanese dramas usually do not get subbed.
A Korean streaming website(Line TV) but a Taiwanese streaming website called Choco so maybe we will get more subtitles soon.
In Time With You was great, it was a surprise for an idol drama but then the leads were older almost a decade of experience acting each.
Attention Love was an idol drama but I surprisingly enjoyed it due to the female lead Joanne Tseng, she was also in In Time With You but I had seen her earlier in Mean Girl Ah Chu which was the definition of horrible Taiwanese drama and I didnt watch any Taiwanese dramas for years after that lol
Apple In My Eye is a TV show I do not recommend though.
For idol dramas, as long as you like one of the leads, the story can be crap and you will still have fun.
I no longer judge idol dramas, I think it can be elitist.
Iron Ladies had a good story but got cancelled so got a rushed ending: The sad truth is that idol dramas seem to make more money and hence get lots of episodes
So stay away from long Taiwanese dramas lol

Most of the famous Korean dramas are adapted from Japanese dramas
I know that Korean dramas except for the recent preproduced ones, usually conduct surverys online to direct the plot based on audience feedback. Which is why the plot can become ridiculous
Chinese dramas are just trying to make money since series are sold to licensees on a per episode basis.
Basically Chinese dramas are in a bubble which might burst soon
I personally do not watch melodrama but I just could not connect with the characters in Put Your Head on My Shoulder. Take Temperature of Love for instance, it is one of the best that I have watched in recent times, no melodrama but lots of romance. I am thinking so dramas should be call trying to romance. Since the romance doesnt start until the last 5 mins but this one was different eg Encounter which was a disappointment
I recommend Taiwanese dramas since they are also Chinese but much shorter: Iron Ladies is a good watch since I prefer poor male leads who cannot buy the female leads' heart.
Peace!

You are welcome. I recommend that you try more Japanese dramas. It is hard to find subs so I will be providing subs.
Japanese dramas in my opinion usually have more substance.
I watched Put My Head on My Shoulders due to your review but even though I enjoyed it, it feels more like cotton candy.
A more recent good watch is Takane no Hana. 100 Million Yen Women or Kiss of Death are also great stories. I was disappointed by the remake of You are My Pet( Kimi Wa Petto)
Korean dramas have great cinematography but stories usually feel weak. Chinese stories usually have their hands tied due to the censorship, only Fantasy series are a bit better off.
Japanese stories usually have zero censorship, all bets are off. This leads to the greatest artistic expression
Moteki is one of my favorites( Like Man Faces of Itoh, I recommend watching the drama before the movie). Female authors pretending to be male authors write great stories haha
It was nice talking to you
I will be using this for pick Japanese dramas to sub since they already have Japanese subtitles so it is cheaper to hire someone.
Hopefully, I can make subtitles for Chinese and Korean content in the future

Hahaha I wanted to watch Sweet Combat and I thank you for saving me from it even though I love Ivy Chen.
Yeah, the double standard is annoying especially since we usually have male leads old enough to be fathers of the female leads.
I recommend I Do I Do a 2012 Korean drama with the female lead from the above as a supporting cast.
I probably wont watch this as I am not a fan of the subject matter

Is there any where I can find it?
Pirate websites. A simple google search of Doctor X 5

it's only till ep 17!! are the rest not subbed yet or delayed or what?
We kept uploading the raws on YouTube and it kept getting deleted. I gave up on the project. I will focus on Japanese dramas since Japanese subs are easily available so it is less work.
Best of luck to you

Title Best Wedding
Funny idea, why did you do that?
I expected it too be too heavy on melodrama and lacking in romance. I watched Encounter recently and it was also disappointing. I am considering having a genre names trying to romance. Spending 5 minutes together after 16 episodes is not romance. Story seemed to safe. Iron Lady did a better job at rich woman poor man dynamic

Visit KissAsian & DramaCool, some of the fastest sites to provide Eng subs, mostly complete. Also NewAsianTV,…
All you are naming are pirate sites who steal subs.
None of them provide subs, they just steal it from those who do the work..

SPOILER : It's a drama about taking bad decisions and then regretting them all your life, or a good part of it.…
Lol, I know he is cute but do not excuse the sexual assault

I got the Bath scene and I know the Japan culture of Baths (and the whole room being tiled to shower off before…
Fair enough lol
From what I know, there was a timeline
He was with A and B, so yeah he played A.
But with C, she seduced him while he was dating D, as it turned out, he was just a paper tiger and actually a virgin.
For E, I do not think the relationship was romantic, just a narcissistic belief that he can save her from her slump.
His relationship with A wasn't romantic but he lead her on.
I think it was very clear with B that the women were just projecting on him, he was not as bad as they made him appear.
Neither was he as cool as he liked to believe.
Itoh lacked confidence from what I saw.

Personally, I just want to watch a drama where the woman is attractive and competent instead of the useless klutz paired with perfect super rich dudes that has made k dramas popular.
A reverse would be nice but I have to settle for Japanese dramas as it is the only drama that has poor dudes. Even if Japanese dramas are usually very sexist.
I am currently enjoying Seigi no Mikata, it is more like a gag story but watching a competent female lead is a breath of fresh air

I have seen the drama, my issue is this: what about his relationship with E? There was hardly anything about his relationship with E.
I beg to differ, the story showed that the women werent all that great either except for maybe A, the other women were just as bad as Itoh although Kaho's who played D was more hurting others out of ignorance or naivety
Old_Anime_Lady Apr 11, 2019
Can you be more specific?
I watched the movie first which was a shame but still enjoyed it
I think Itoh is more of a tragic hero, at least that is what I got at the end
Due to cultural differences and things lost in translation, I did not understand as much as I would have liked. I saw the bathtub explained on reddit
eg
The bathtub is cultural. It's normal in Japan to spend an hour in the bath just to relax. It's not even to get clean - you use the shower for that, and then get in the bath. So taping up the bath was explicitly explained as her "showing how serious she was about writing". She wouldn't relax. It's perfectly clear in Japanese why no bath = dedication, but doesn't make sense to Westerners.

I did like at the very end she untaped the bath, because it has a double meaning. It's not just that she gave up on being a serious writer, but it's all the years of baths she missed..just like the marriage she expected to bear fruit but those years were just wasted. I.e. she sacrificed for nothing.

I made a start on this. Then I saw it's the same actress in Prince of Wolf which I've had on hold for the best…
Hahaha I dont really have any issues with the actress to be honest
I just find that she runs funny lol
I recommend watching with an open mind
Let us not kid ourselves, unless you are an acting teacher
You cannot really judge acting fairly
Some actresses are just born to play some roles.
Personally, I blame the Director if a story isnt believable.
Also, this isn't Hollywood, I set the bar lower, especially in "idol dramas"

yess Li Li is one of the best female lead I ever watched in a drama she's so kind T.T I really really love her…
Personally, I prefer stories were the female lead is Han Yichen
Feels more real
That is why I have been watching Japanese dramas a lot lately
Soju Oct 28, 2018
No My Queen? I am disappointed until I do not blame you. I watched it recently. I saw a review that said it beautifully: " It is a story with switched roles, with the female lead playing the classic male lead and the male lead playing the classic female lead without being
emasculated". I seriously recommend it. Cheryl Yang I have found hard to watch due to crazy male leads like Red Riding Hood but her role in My Dear Boy won me over. She was beautifully cruel: the best way to hurt a cheating man? Slap yourself haha

Like I insinuated in the article, I know the main lead is who she ended up with in the end. However, I always…
Hu Ge dage was awesome!!!!
I watched the last few episodes without subs and when I came back when subs were available I discovered I understood it just fine without subs
It was that poetic.
You love someone so much that you make sure they get every single they want with zero sadness in that person's life

No 'In Time With You' because the writer of this article has not watched the drama and does not believe in recommending…
With Huayi Brothers buying a Korean Studio with stars like Han Ji Won as their clients co starring with Chinese stars like Bo Lin Chen. The lines are getting more blurred. Taiwanese dramas don't seem to have the popularity they deserve but with two remakes of In Time With You this year :Mainland China and Thai and even Fated To Love You, that might change.
Maybe Huayi Brothers will buy a Taiwanese studio too haha
