I love Yoon Shi Yoon but this had crap written all over it.

I expected a patriotic story, then I guess that is why Korea isnt China but the rebels was obviously crazy. I recall when the King's messenger was killed. For someone who refused to kill local soldiers, killing a messenger screamed hypocrisy. Even the lowest of the lows know that you dont kill a messenger during war

Well for me it was a disappointment. The whole suicide solves everything plot point just pisses me off too.
The way I see it, most of the characters were just selfish
You want to be a revolutionary and not be a criminal. It is too idealistic to be believed.
I didn't last 8 episodes and went to the finale and it was exactly as I expected.boring

I never meant that it hard to be complicated. In Time With You is not complicated. Temperature of Love is not complicated but the stories are so good that I keep rewatching since they get strike a chord. Even the lighter tone I Need Romance 3 has a good but uncomplicated plot.

I am male so I want female CEO stories, sadly the target audience for dramas are females.

I said it was enjoyable. Unlike others, I am happy it is different from the anime and book. The female characters are less whiny.
The show is fun, even though it tries to make speeches that I dont really care for, leaves out important plot points etc.
I also blame the crappy subtitles for the first few episodes that I watched but like I said before, it is fun.
Sometimes it is good to not have to think.
So I take it back, the story is good for what it tries to do. It does not pretend to be an award winning melodrama.
If you have any light fluffy stories to recommend then I am game. Preferably Chinese and no CEOs, I am tired of male CEO dramas, I only take exception is its female CEO like WWW Search *smirk*

I disagree on the story being any good. Put enough bankable stars in a large platform and adapt a popular IP and you get a hit.

Understood. I was also replying to others. I do enjoy schadenfreude as long as there if a pay off at the end. Sadly, in most dramas Da Ren is the second male lead. The Fukada Kyoko drama about The Book To read before you fall in love is. A perfect example. Not a fan of the male lead lol. I just watch female CEOs these days. WWW was fun even though the romance was lacking. Any recommendations?

The Taiwanese original was very mild
I also recommend 9 end 2 outs, it is so mild that you think its a Japanese drama and not Korean lol

The scene at the pool felt like a copy and paste when you consider In Time With You and 9 end 2 outs. But the stories are very different. One is a cohabitation story. You could actually argue more that the Korean remake of In Time With You is more similar to 9 ends 2 outs since both are next door neighbors.
9 end 2 outs had the female lead as a loser lol. It doesnt feel similar at the core although the pool scene gave me feelings of deja vu

Yes to all your questions and you just proved why I didnt enjoy the Korean version. It removed so many things. Even the junior wasnt gay, showing that Korea is a lot more conservative than we realize. The Mainland Chinese version was such a let down. Maybe it was bad subs, but as a big fan of Crystal Zhang, I enjoyed her acting but even with a lot more episodes, it feels like nothing happened. It was too vague. I recently rewatched the last 5 episodes and I still dont know how they got together haha

Luckily we have the 52 episode TV Show Version.... I dont know if this is a blessing or a curse. Since it was produced in 2017, I am not sure how this movie impacts it

Disappointing. The story was essentially told in reverse. It should be titled from Healer to Survivor.

I forgot to add, this was very thought provoking as many Japanese dramas under the"human drama" genre. I also got to learn what "Kabe don" meant. It i something you see in all forms of Asian dramas since Japanese manga are so popular

Hello Birthday buddy, can you recommend other strong female lead stories? Empire of Gold ended disappointingly so I am weary Of Lee Yo Won'stories. She is such a great actress but I didnt feel satisfied lol
