Yeah it seems to happen a lot on this website haha. I’m guessing whoever typed it based it off an old synopsis and then the film changed while they were filming it. Cause there was definitely no love triangle in this movie.
The best OST ever. I listen to it on spotify everyday to study especially the instrumentals. The plot does get heavy. But the visual shots and color scheme are gorgeous - like a dark filter over bright pastel colors especially baby yellow and blue. Almost like in a hazy dream. Great acting from all the main cast especially Kim Hyanggi . All the crying scenes :,( I love to rewatch the sweet scenes on youtube between the two main leads because they’re shot so visually lovely!
EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING was visually appealing. Especially in the first half of this story in the Song Kingdom. The long gorgeous scenery, the costumes (oh my gosh the costumes and HAIR), the color schemes such detail. Great acting from main leads and rest of cast and my favorite OST from a chinese drama EVER. I still cry when i hear the opening song by Bai Lu on Spotify. Guan Xiaotong and Song wei long were pretty impressive with their facial expressions they really look like they came out of a novel.
Great drama!! High skilled actors and actresses and such well done production you really felt like you were in their world of 18. The shots of the scenery and the color scheme felt so nostalgic even though I never lived in their world before.
And no. I don’t absolutely desire a second season if they’re gonna put a new cast ? but if they do with the same director, I’m sure it’ll be well done too? big fan of wan peng now!

She appeared to Fang Lie first outside of the cafe it seems. It looks like he saw her appear outside of the window. So he set it up that Fang Leng would meet her in that field.
This whole drama was aesthetically pleasing (costumes, aerial shots, color schemes) and the plot had me always clicking next. Great acting from both main leads. Just a really fun ride! The second leads were decent but the main leads got me in this chinese drama hole now looking for more fantasy romantic comedy dramas like this. I know their voices were dubbed but the two main lead’s detailed facial expressions had me laughing in the funny scenes and crying in the sad scenes. Binge watched it twice. A feel good drama that didn’t lose a beat. Big fan of wan peng now!
