I guess not...it looks like it was totally filmed, edited, and everything too. I'm guessing either a star got…
It predates ZZH's problems by 4 years at least! The screenwriter was rumored to be convicted of plagiarism.....that the main problem right there probably.... but who knows what is real coming out of China. How much of anything is just an excuse? Just feels like such a shame and a waste of talent/time since it was mostly done :/ I guess that is the entertainment business in China: lots of risk and lots of cancelled stuff for various reasons. I try really hard not to get excited about anything I hear about in China until it actually is airing. So much stuff never makes it.
No it is because the lead actor of this drama has been banned in china. So, the drama is unconfirmed and it has…
This drama was on HOLD WAAAAAAAAAAAY before (6 years!) the whole Zhang Zhehan being the target of online bullying/slander campaign (2 years!). A lot of films get on hold in China for lots of different reasons. It was rumored the scriptwriter was accused of plagiarism, for one thing. Not sure what is real coming out of China. Seems sketchy since based off a known book, isn't it? And others have done versions of this story. Who knows! Everything is sus.
I just figure since so much money, time and talent was put into it....plus filming was done....that maybe it might get released. But probably not.
Some eps just have some longer scenes that had to be cut in China due to censorship. So the extended eps are for International. Some are a few seconds additional footage and others add a few minutes.

For example, after A'Xu took off his skin mask after they fell in water and warmed by fire.....there is an added scene with them both cleaning the rabbits in the river....and splashing one another/playing ;) Another example (my fav) is the extended version of them calling one anothers' name 3 times each. ...lots of added innuendo and action/looks from A'Xu to KeXing that are *chefs kiss*. Just stuff like that.
is this a sad drama? can someone please tell me... i don't want to cry watching this :))
Watch it on a platform that has the bonus ep at end. LIke on Yukou's Youtube site or Viki. But other sites have the bonus extended eps that are so goooooood....on Netflix (thought they don't have the bunus ep at end) and Youkou'd Youtube site (if you pay for it).
why didn't WKX disclose the plan to ZZS about his fake death, I have just finished the 33rd episode but I don't…
The writers had to cut at least 10 eps due to budget issues....so I feel like they had to greatly shorten what they had originally planned. As is, I totally agree with you, and feel like it is a loop hole in the story. I find it hard to believe that Wen Keking wouldn't have let his A'Xu in on the 'secret'. Sadly, we will never know how the original story would have played out if they had their budget. I can only surmise, that maybe Keking was sooooooooo worried/alarmed at A'Xu reduced physical state after being rescued from Jin.....that maybe he really thought that A'Xu not knowing would help him heal faster. It is a wishy washy explanation I feel is there due to the truncatedness of what the poor writers had to cut due to budget problems/time. I don't let it ruin the series overall for me :) I hope same for you :)
It is based off a book series (outside China) that is homosexual based. The author of that book series has done jail time in China...but now lives outside China. What a crazy world we live in.
I’ll admit some parts were boring af but damn the whole thing?
It is not cliche for Chinese audiences....but maybe if you watched other things in international pool. Despite the budget problems and cutting they had to do in later eps...I felt it is a great series that shows women screen writers strengths in CHINA. China needs more of these strong individuals to share stories for an audience that is sadly trapped into only being able to watch what their government allows.
Watch the first 4 eps. I got hooked during episode 2, and just KNEW I'd finish this. Try the first few eps. If you are bored....then don't continue..... everyone likes different things.
Agreed. I though Taiwan was a little more open. But the original poster said they taught in CHINA mainland proper so this is outside Taiwanese culture.
It was good until they drag the story in the last 3/4 eps and then rushing the ending. 6/10
It weird. Pacing wise, I thought the middle dragged more, but yeah.....I left like the last 2 eps SHOULD/COULD have been expanded to at least 4 or more eps to make the pace match the rest of the series. Despite that, I still LOVE it :)
Anyone can suggest any BL dramas like WOH, the untamed, killer and healer. Absence of Kissing and other stuff…
Ones that triggered my LOVE vibe the most was: Untamed, Word of Honor, DNA Says Love You, Guardian, He's Coming to Me, KinnPorsche, Love by Chance, Nirvana in Fire (I swear the dude is bi....and I'd be in favor of the 2 male and 1 female together......bonus as a young ZZS as the main in flashbacks), Plus and Minus, YingYang Master: Dream of Eternity.........
I just figure since so much money, time and talent was put into it....plus filming was done....that maybe it might get released. But probably not.
