Hello I jst finished rewatching Revamp, and here's the most detailed review (rant) about the series 😝 As a new siwaj sawatmaneekul drama connoisseur myself, this series is the WORST of his making

I only rewatched this because Krit and Mochi in unlucky bae pissed me off, and I wanted more Aunstamp. HONESTLY SPEAKING, Mekhin, Pokpong, Ciar, and Methus CARRIED THE SHOW ON THEIR BACK. 😢😢😢

Firstly the plot sucks. I see the vision, but the execution completely tanked. Vampires want their leader back, hunters want him dead, and right in the middle is a hunter trying to quit his job AND has to break a curse on the leader vampire trapped in a painting for a decade—who is ALSO his fated lover. This had so much potential, but it went straight downhill.

Besides the god-awful plot writing, the main couple is cheeks too. I love BounPrem as much as the next person; don't get me wrong, but Ramil and Punn are ASS bro.

Punn contradicted EVERYTHING he's been for since the beginning of the show—wanting to live with his brother, and he changes his mind coz a man came by?? He also has no spine coz he started to like Ramil after Ramil told him that they're meant to be together; THERE'S NO DEVELOPING FEELINGS, REALIZING FEELINGS, NOTHING NADA. And it sucks coz New Siwaj is usually really good at portraying cheesy love
RAMIL OMG, don't get me started on this BUM. HE'S THE MOST USELESS CHARACTER IN THE STORY, AND HE'S THE MAIN CHARACTER OMG. He's literally done nothing for the whole drama except be in love with Punn. AND I'M ALL FOR BEING HEAD OVER HEELS WITH THE PERSON U LOVE, don't get me wrong, but everyone has responsibilities, and this guy sucks cheeks coz he just made Methus do everything(which makes sense; he did end up being the leader, BUT STILL). He's also really self-pitying, like, "The person who's the most pitiful is me" NO, NO UR NOT. THE MOST U HAVE IS A DERANGED HALF-BROTHER

Credit where credit is due tho, I really liked the writing of the Jonoel clan members(Methus, Ciar, Mekhin) and Pokpong. These four were EASILY the best-written characters with the most character depth.

Methus - A literal prince who was betrayed by the ONE person he trusted? HELLO? YES?
Ciar - Died because humans were bathing in children's BLOOD. ENDS UP HATING HUMANS SO MUCH because of the trauma (After becoming a vampire) but he STILL has the heart to accept Punn(a human)???
Mekhin - Gets injured as a field medic, turned into a vamp just to see his family, loses control and accidentally kills them, so he becomes an ER doctor out of pure penance???
Pokpong - PERFECTLY written teen. He is by far the most relatable character in the show, for me at least. He makes terrible, reckless choices (getting into fights to get disowned by his foster family or joining a grp to kill vampires), but it is ALL because he’d do anything to protect and be with his brother. 😭👊

I was going to add Jett to the list of good characters, but he ended up being really stupid in like the last 2 episodes. He had a really good motive to be who he was the whole show, but the WHOLE SHOW has also been dictating how hard it is to kill vampires—making knives out of pure silver, making special guns with special bullets to successfully kill a vampire AND a whole headpiece not to get mind-controlled—and this IMBECILE attempts to kill Feratu with a PILLOW? And that's okay THAT'S OKAY, the part that pissed me off MORE was when he was SO SHOCKED THAT FERATU DIDN'T DIE? NO SHIT, GENIUS

AND FERATU SUCKS ASS TOO. He literally has no resilience, no motive, no personality whatsoever. And he's useless as hell, much like his older brother. He's done NOTHING besides burning an orphanage down and SLEEPING the whole show, then he wants to show up in the last 3 eps or sumth and pretend he contributed to anything.

The whole show so bad that 3 humans who died and became vampires and a highschool student had more to bring to the table than anyone else
