I feel bad for Seok Hoon but not as bad as the drama seems to want me too. His ex-wife's only sin that we've seen…
Hmmmm, I agree to an extent but then, it is unfair that she gets to all things for herself etc and don't even sit down with her ex and iron things out. I do think that she owes him a sit down and let's talk at least. Because the way Lawyer Yun has been presenting, seems like the end of their marriage affected him a lot more. And for all we know he could be going through guilt, self hate etc and mostly thinking he is the reason why they broke up, he was not a good husb.. he is not worthy to be a father etc.. all kinds of things the brain tricks us into. So I believe his remedy should come from her who has moved on, to have a word and liberate him from this psychological trauma. I am a therapust and I would recommend my client that too if I had a case like this.
P.S. a while back I watched a drama that had a plot a little like this. Basically ML had a galfriend and one time he got hold up at work and girlfriend waited for him at night until late. Then on her way home she was gang- r****d. And this incident affected her so much as well as him and eventually they broke up. ML never forgot that and he suffered psychologically from that incident. You can say, time stopped from that day. About 8 years later, he meets his ex galfriend by chance. Again he wanted to run away at first cause of guilt etc but she asked for a word. They sat fown and she pretty much comforted him and liberated him from the guilt. She also reassured him that she had moved on. Which was actually true cause her daughter and husband came to pick her up and they all seemed happy. From then on ML became better and went on to have a happy life.

Gosh, this one hits hard...Any harm to a child is unforgivable. These little angels should be protected not harmed.
I'm so happy that this ep. drew out a little detail that is often forgotten in cases of domestic violence. Sadly, sometimes it takes a while before you can pull the victims out and during that time, you know they are suffering more abuse. And yet, you have to put that painful feeling aside and stay focused to help them out eventually. Therefore as much as our instincts tell us to pull them out right away, sometimes you can't. At times you have to work with the perpetrator and coach your victim to stay the same and not hint of any changes. It is such an emotionally draining job (rewarding in the end, yes) hence why I quit.
Omg Hyo min in love is like a typhoon..hahaha. It's like the feelings are just bubbling out and can't wait to see how it will affect her work next ep. Though I gotta say, I kinda miss the disorganised but very sharp Hyo min they introduced us in 1st eps.
I'm struggling to like Lawyer Yun's ex wife. Of all the man, why oh why, would you go for your friend, also your ex's friend....aaaah....stress

I understand many people have mixed feelings about this drama and I for 1 really enjoyed the beginning until somewhere in the middle. At first it felt fresh, slow and just gave this healing feeling (I mean food heals a lot of wounds, you'll). But I guess somewhere down the line I began to wonder, what exactly is this drama's message or angle. Guess you can say the plot stopped plotting for me. All our main characters were great but none made me want to jump from my seat to pay attention to. And the most I guess bizarre character was the rich lady and owner of the Building. She felt like AI or an NPC that I found most of her actions very far from reality in this day and age.
Alas this drama gives me the feeling I get when I eat my favourite Yoghurt every day...it starts to put me off and doesn't taste the same anymore= this drama.
Anywho, it's done now and I'm many people enjoyed it too. It just lost me somewhere I guess.

From the pro-choice camp. It's ultimately her choice but I think it's also something she should have talked to…
I really like your perspective and in that 1st parag. Its seems the main issue was the decision she made but not communicating to the one she loved and married.
"I don't think Yun was the problem, just the timing, which IMO is completely valid" this statement right here is very profound. My question though is, we may know/think this but does Lawyer Yun also thinks this. This is where it gets tricky cause maybe this poor guy spend years thinking, I caused this, it's my fault, I pushed her into this....
All this will seriously affect tour mental wellbeing and nowonder the guys always look constipated. So if their marriage ended without proper COMMUNICATION....hmmmm I would say, its more unfair to himπŸ€” πŸ˜•
P.S. Love a male pov on this so thanks.

Thanks for that link, very interesting. Just reminds recently a friend of mine said if she were to get pregnant right now, she will immediately abort and no questions asked. And her reason was not that she hates kids or never wants them it's that for now, she doesn't cause she hasn't had her ish together, mentally, financially, environmentally etc. So like you said, people sometimes forget that there are so many factor that could lead to someone making that decision.
Yeah I hope the drama handles this one sensitively. Ideally, I would want to see the exes meet and she explain that actually her decisions have got nothing to do with him so she can continue with her happy path and release him for maybe guilt, self doubt or hate from thinking he was the cause.

Now this is CHEMISTRY....and I'm melting over here 😍 πŸ₯°
Once I got over the everyone-is gender-blind issue, I'm all in for this drama and thanks to Zhou Ye to make me LOL every chance she gets...like for real πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. So safe to say, we have a love triangle, which I'm not worried about cause our ML character is delicious looking...like man he's hot. Those eyes, aaah...my ❀️ Plus, he is the protagonist so the plot amour is on his side. I actually like Chu Zhao, he is cute but I don't get him. What would have been fun is if he and his sidekick who seems to have the hots for him join hands with our main duo and kick bu*** to the real villains. Cause so far I'm failing to understand why the vengeance, what happened to him and why target someone who seems to have been involved at all πŸ€”πŸ˜πŸ€¨

What baffles me is if you’re so adamantly opposed to having children then don’t let it happen. There’s ways,…
True...sometimes people forget that as long as they open their legs do the deed, there are chances of....you know....sigh

I think wholeheartedly being in agreement to not have a child, or at least not try for a child is pretty common,…
You're absolutely right. A couple may start on the same page and then one might change or one might not have been on that same page wholeheartedly to begin with. But im this case, I think it was more of a communication either not deep enough or broken. For instance, these 2 could have explored the what ifs way earlier so when it happens the would handle it better. Or better yet, the wife should have at least clued him on what's what before handling it herself.
My question thougb would be, is it because she didn't want to or didn't want to with him given that last scene. Regardless, I think of the psychological impact it will have to the one ex.

Yo...Beyond the Bar is definitely dropping some bars, here. I have since dropped Law and the City and this is my new obsession.
That last scene...Woah what..."Our little miracle" are we talking about Hashi?? or a human miracle 🀭😲
Lawyer Yun-nim, do you know this cause woooow.
Okay the My body my choice troopers where are you cause I'm seeking your 2 cents on this nicely presented case study....
To summarise, Lawyer Yun and his wife made a decision not to have children (not sure how that conversation went but it seems he went along with this decision against his heart...just an inkling). After marriage and a while later, his wife gets pregnant, doesn't tell hubby and I guess she terminated it quietly. Ofc, Lawyer Yun finds out, addressed this which led to the truth. So it's highly probable that this led to the demise of their marriage. And now they coparent their fur baby. And it seems ex wifey remarried, and has a little miracle coming up which I suspect to be a baby. So how do we all feel about this one.
Oh and my Anti-choice/pro-baby troopers, what do you think of this case.
P.S. Sorry if it's an annoying request, I'm just curious about peoples opinions especially on this case.

Xue Man has every right to suspect Bei Ming kills her father. If Bei Ming is innocent, he won't runaway and hide…
Oh you misunderstood me completely. I'm not emotional AT ALL πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I'm merely arguing the logic and emotions involved. And like I said, I never doubted ML charactet reactions especially how he empathise and even feel guilty about everything. I would too. That guy was too arrogant and O bet he thinks heis arrogance led to his mentor's death hence the guilt . But he tried and tried to tell this FL character he didn't kill him, even making so logical statements and yet this gal decide to believe what she wants to believe. We have to agree to disagree on this one.
P.S. Apart from thinking I'm being emotional (which is wrong) I gotta thank you for being nice in your arguments.

Didn't you see his video? He was happy around his wife, was smiling, and loved his dog. Something and he still…
Not saying he wasn't happy. I'm talking about his current state. If you think broken hearted man needs a woman to mend then that's fine...I will not judge. I just beg to differ. Why do a woman have to be the one to make him change. I just feel like we all need to do inner work, make changes ourselves before being involved with someone else. That's my opinion

Hmmm a dumb wife would belive that and leave it at that. A smart wife would belive that and then start do some digging about this so called husband and mistress so she get all her facts in order for divorce.
We can excuse her reaction on the scene but 3 years later she sti thinks he killed her dad despite all the so called evidence she collected. Naaah she is just dumb. Plus like I have already said, she doesn't need to do much but go back to the first murders and ask herself where was he...and she will have her answer then. Tbh I feel for the guy cause thats a double betrayal he is going through.

Logical Plot! Where?
Okay let's use your argument right... you say why runaway if you are innocent....Hmmm because 1)you are being framed so you need time to figure this out without having someone running after you to kill you 2) Didn't he got stabbed and poisoned...logic would be, is he alive or dead not why did you run away.
3) it's not his actions that are the problem but the FL character actions that are a Mega problem. Her thinking WTH did you kill my dad when she found him is logical, but her thinking thst he did for 3 whole fu*** years is ridiculous. This giy was not a stranger to her....they grew up together, trained, eat, train, converse together and she believes he could kill the man who raised him out of the blue.
Make it make sense!
