Right now, I'm really worried about JianJian. Forget LX and ZQ for a sec, JianJian needs the attention right about now. She is having it bad, from work to love life....someone needs to support her...
Okay I'm scared to say I like this just in case...But I do. I just love this pairing and their chemistry. I actually started watching this after I saw their kissing scene on YouTube....(dirty mind, yeah, I know..hehe) I just hope for a better ending. The Heiress and the Phoenix (forgot fullname) dramas had annoying endings. If there is another thing I hate after Sad endings is Open Endings.. They make no sense especially if you don't plan on a second season...
I don’t know if it’s just be but I don’t want Li Ba having to take care of another kid that’s not his.…
Not at all...I am the same as you. So when I heard He Mei saying it wasn't her son and was just taking care of him until his mom is out of prison (which is soon)...I took a sigh of relief. No more kids for Li pah, hopefully because like you nicely said...he now needs all the love and care. Let's just hope that prison woman comes out a better human and take care of her son not be like He Mei (yeah she had a reason, but) or worse off Chen Ting.
So I guess Love is in the Air...Li Pah and He Mei... Now that we know more about He Mei, why do I feel like I owe her an apology for having very terrible thoughts about her before...sigh
Oh this drama loves my Tears... This time it's Zi Qui.... Whenever he is struggling, my heart breaks a million pieces...kudos to Steven Zhang's fantastic acting. Okay He Mei's problem is she does things at her own accord (leave, appear as she pleases), and doesn't really take time to understand what ZQ wants. She did that when she left him and for selfish reasons, then came back and manipulated Li Papa to send ZQ to his bio-dad. Now she is back and wants to act caring but meddling in ZQ's life instead. All the things she does, ZQ is not included. Actually, now that she wants to help, it's not that bad but that's not the Biggest Problem. The problem is she left a wound on ZQ and she has never acknowledged and apologised for what she did. She acts like she did nothing much but newsflash, she has left some psychological damage on Zi Qui. So how can he just act happy, now accepts her kindness as if nothing happened. Is it that scary or painful to sit her son down, sincerely apologise to what she did (with no excuses) and kindly ask to be in his life again. Then leave it up to ZQ to make a decision without her interfering... ZQ can't move on to the future with her if he doesn't deal with his traumatic past.
Me too, but not because there's no pingxie, but because i only love xiaoge. And wuxie as a lone ranger is too…
Me too, I prefer the Iron Triangle team together more. I stopped watching when the story arch went to the Warehouse etc...it was boring. Also I just prefer them in underground tombs not Warehouse to be honest....
When I begin to think this drama can't reduce me to tears again...Li Xiao had to take me down his very dark Memory lane in Singapore... I cried so hard that my Mom ran to buy me my favourite ice-cream... (well brain-freeze stopped the tears but my heart is broken for LX) Even though I dislike his sister but I also felt for the poor kid, being in that environment and witnessing all that. Really, I commend LX for his strength and courage and to top it off, he became a dentist...like wow
Her kiss in the 27th episode looked fake. It showed that she was hesitant to kiss him. She did it like, she was…
You mean the tree kiss ?? If so, then I think otherwise. JianJian was feeling it that she was like, "is that it" afterwards...Meaning she wanted seconds hahaha As for the JJ initiated kiss, I think it was something out of her comfort zone, however she cares so much for LX and wanted to show him that.
Personally, I think this drama would be better without the love line.
I was the same in the beginning because I thought, do we have to... But then as I watched their story unravelling, I began to understand how they became to be as both individuals and couple. The dialogue between JJ and LX in his room shed so much light on how/why they are together. LX has gone through so much and the constant positive thing in his life has been JJ. Because of his painful experiences he has been robbed of a normal childhood/adolescent. So it's befitting that he gets attracted to the positive person in his life and that's JJ. Like he said, starting to meet new girls learning about eachother is such a draining thing to him so he just sticks to who he knows best vice versa. As for JJ, she has always liked LX...you could argue as either gehgeh only or more... She has spent time with her two bros so the gehgeh zone is more normal and natural to her. But when LX comes and confess, she started to see him in a different light. And I like the fact that she went through all stages of denial until she eventually agrees. And like LX, JJ said she also don't have the energy of meeting someone new etc. So I think their common ground is familiarity and better understanding of each other, the good, bad and the ugly.
And I just Love Them.
P.S. I didn't talk about ZQ because his feelings are completely different from LX.
Wow, This drama just continues to Hit the Right notes... It addresses issues in a thoughtful, sensitive yet profound way that I'm in awe. I have been a little concerned by the brothers emotional dependency on JianJian especially after they came back. ZQ is over-protective of JianJian but that's more rooted from his fear of abandonment. Whilst LX regards JianJian as his oxygen tank, his only beacon of hope against his trauma. What bothered me was that JianJian was/still is carrying the emotional stability/support for these two, so what's left of her. That phone call to her Dad really pained me because, you could see she was tired plus torn between her two brothers. Both these brothers have some mental health issues and need/ed more than JianJian to recover. So I'm so glad that LX saw a doctor (well not intentionally) who pointed out his mental health condition. The way his dad reacted made me remember how he reacted when Chen Ting was going through mental health problems as well. As for ZQ, I think he needs to work on his fear of abandonment either by himself or with support. My heart broke when he pointed out how noone wants him to LX and JJ. That moment spoke volume of his insecurity.
Nonetheless, I still love the fact that Nomatter what Jian Jian is still that Ray of Sunshine in these boys Life.
Yeahhhhh, the situationship between Zi Qui and JianJian is solved now. I saw a YouTube clip where JJ reject him gently and clarify their relationship which will always be Brother and Sister. And from ZQ's reaction, it shows his confused feelings weren't that deep, at the end he likes JJ as his sister. I can make a Sigh of Relief Now...hehe
P.S. That's my interpretation from that little clip using my minimum Mandarin comprehension
Chen Ting (Ling Xiao's mom) has a mental breakdown and is in depression. All her nasty actions can be explained…
True, I guess. But when they are children involved, I just wish for parents to do better despite the circumstances. When the child has their parent's support they wi still feel happy and reassured even if the going gets tough. Talking from experience, as someone who never had that. I'm just happy, it's a drama and don't know these kind of people in real life...huh

Of all the things, you can pinpoint...Lol
Actually, it's true...
AND I'M TRAUMATISED.
The mere thought is uncomfortable.

She is scary...And what does she has in store for our happy family this time....

Don't mind me, I'm too far gone for this couple.
If so, then I think otherwise. JianJian was feeling it that she was like, "is that it" afterwards...Meaning she wanted seconds hahaha

I respect your opinion, still.

This Drama is my Happy Pill Right Now...
