So everyone suddenly either they can't use their guns or shoot anything despite all that training and now making pretty much stupid decisions. At this point they are offering themselves to the bad guys π Am I the only one who wanted to see King's father sh***y face after being told his son was next to be murdered and sewn....wow, I'm such a terrible person π That father and son duo aka serial killers are psychos and the gag is, they are actually making that ghost more powerful instead...tsk tsk Sir, Son you're being used.
So I've been on holiday and only to be back and realised I missed a whole f****ng drama...like a whole series π― Gone are the days when I would climb on top of the highest mountain closer to heaven almighty and pray for another ep. Now we get a whole series....thnx Netflix Anyway, jetlag what jetlag who, I dived in straight away and I gotta say, I'm not feeling it π more like flat. The cinematography and FL wardrobe is fantastic, other than that, nothing really. Ofc I only watched 3 ep. So I'm contemplating whether to stop now. It's a shame cause I love the FL and can't wait to see her in Moving 2 (btw there is drama behind the Moving drama π , sigh, story for another day)
Why do I feel like I'm going through the "Never meet your idol" moment with this season 2. Is it a mistake watching this π€π€π€ I was excited and damn happy when it started and the first case, afterall the structure and sequence had the S1 charm but somehow I don't know why it has become a story about some politics hijinks which I don't care about at all hence my disappointment. I feel like the charm of S1 was in the case by case plot with equally charming characters. And here now we have politics with seemingly charming characters π My issue is they talk a lot about female oppression etc which by the way nailed it in the first case and yet when it comes to Chu Chu there is contradiction. For instance, it appears Chu Chu's role as a coroner is being suppressed etc (bad way of showing it) and yet she has freedom of everything else. As far as I know during this period every woman of high status had female maids everywhere who goes everywhere with her and yet CC has none. She is free to roam around the market with some 2nd prince who is also her student. That wouldn't be the case though would it. So I'm here thinking drama pick your point and stick it through and make it make sense. That whole monk case would still be understandable to remove CC as the coroner due to the mere fact that it involve another state without even making it just that she is a woman. So removing those vultures who are gunning for her downfall would equally face the same apprehension. And here it's more about CC being the wife of XJY who is also a coroner more than just being a woman coroner. P.S. My opinion
Now I'm all caught up...pet peeve n# 1. Chu Chu's wannabe so called brother, just sod off...like literally π If we didn't know how you once harbour some pervy little thoughts on your sister, I will be looking at you with different pair of eyes (basically without my glasses) but the fact that I know, I don't have anything nice to say dude and that whole creeping around a married coupke in the name of protection is damn creepy...like just go back to the rural cause I see you causing a major problem for Chu Chu and Wang Ye cause of your stupidity...mark my words and I hope he proves me wrong. Not gonna lie that sisterhood moment really touched me...that man was a beast and good riddance. Chu Chu really struck gold with Wang Ye and vice versa. Now irl that I see a lot of divorce announcement and how it turns nasty, I just think people need to have a partner that is kind in nature.
Guys Guys my favourite Couples are back π π€π I'm like in heaven. Okay 1st ep. First impression = I'm impressed. Funny enough, I was just smiling like a loony all the way. It just made me realised how deprived I was of this drama. When ChuChu was doing that POV narration, she mentioned 3 years of marriage bliss and I'm like..."I was deprived of seeing your marriage bliss ππ"π€£π€£ Anyway, I have not been a fan of Season 2s when it comes to Chinese dramas and I tend to avoid them, mostly because I wanna live in a bubble or fantasy and preserve the love I have for the first story. So I rarely watch season 2s....well I have tried. I thought I would try this one and I'm pleasantly surprised. For one, the drama has stayed true to itself. Yes, you can say the budget is better now due to a much sharper cinematography and some little accessory additions but that's more or less it really and I Iove it. If you ask me why I dropped Under the Skin 2 despite my eternal love for the first season is the changes were too jarring for me. We went from seeing a down to earth production to everything yellow and a one ML living in some penthouse which looked like a showhome. So yeah it wasn't what I expected. Whereas here it feels like we are just continuing where we left off naturally (oh 3 years later) and the nation is more prosperous....the flow is flowing.
So I feel like this drama owes me...I don't know, just a feeling. Anyway, finished it, got a t-shirt and the spell is broken. So let's talk about what went wrong apart from everything else that went wrong. 1) Failed to copy Here is the thing, I always think that if you're gonna do a remake, either include your own little spice that's gonna make it unique and likeable or make it better or just copy everything. And really, I was not expecting much than a carbon copy and alas from ep. 22 this drama lost me with such a cringeworthy plot. Like what was that π€ 2) Forced Chemistry- One of the selling point for short dramas should be Chemistry...I mean we are all still talking about "Maid's revenge" till this day because of the mad Chemistry btwn the leads, right. Here, it felt forced and partly due to kinda bad acting but also lack of nuance to a character and horrible kissing scenes...like geez I suffered on the latter. Did these people watch WWWMSK cause if they did, I wouldn't see this. Anywho, I wasted my time which is okay cause at least I got to see that gorgeous try-on wedding gown (I would marry myself if I had that). Btw why blur or avoid focus on those rings unless there also knock-offs like the rest of the story πhehe
So tell me why oh why I went through 22 eps. of pure whiplash and some torture over this WWWMSK knock off....Like if this is not witchcraft, I don't know what is π€£ I feel like I'm under hypnosis watching this π Okay seriously though, ep. 22 makes me feel dizzy cause everything Meili said doesn't make any sense. I would have expected her to say something like, I don't want to be too dependent on you hence let's seperate business and pleasure. And yet, we got plan A, I'm the prince, option b, blah blah blah πlike gaaal, please, like keep quiet.
My dear I watched the 1st ep and felt double depressed. 1) thinking of our beloved late Ahjussi, I became teary…
Talk about songs that makes you cry a river; when Hwasa sang LMM at the awards show in memory of our Ahjussi, I cried like never before. My whole family were concerned that something had happened to me that I had to sit them down and told them his story. It's one of those moments that makes you question humanity.
I'm here because my best friend called me at an unforgiven hour to say "There is a What's Wrong with my Secretary Kim from Temu" π€£π€£π€£ So I LOL and she directed me to this one. This is definitely a knock off of WWWMSK and to think I was recently thinking of rewatching the latter...hehe Safe to say this is not giving "Auraaaaaaah" π
Back in the day, I was excited when I heard My Mister was getting a cdrama adaptation. Now, I don't know whether…
My dear I watched the 1st ep and felt double depressed. 1) thinking of our beloved late Ahjussi, I became teary 2) Just recalling the story from the original made me feel worse. So I will hold off for a while and maybe binge another time.
I had to double take Mark Chao cause from a certain angle he resembles our beloved Ahjussi from My Mister. And now I'm feeling emotional, dammit π’ π Maybe it's not the right time to watch this one cause feelings are still fresh.
Such a good episode! Pooh nailed it with the acting, showing haters he can act when given good material.
Omg π² You just said what was on my mind the entire ep. Wow, great minds think alike. I was actually thinking how I read many comments (some here) on how bad Pooh's acting was on PB etc. (Granted it's not the best there) and there was also me thinking, if only every hater was watching this cause he is killing it... It's like he understood the assignment and is delivering. Welldone my forever Charlie β₯οΈ

Welldone my forever Charlie β₯οΈ
It's like Thup fell first and he fell harder.
Anyway back to the story. We all now guess pretty correctly who the Murderer is right besides the ghost (if yu don't, well watch this ep. again). Now this is why I don't do "Follow, follow the leader" and you won't find me at any congregation either π
Darin oh Darin π€¦, he's naive and borderline stupid. Like tell me who in their right mind would go to a temple?? for some spiritual intervention, the same place where everyone including they momma, pappa, dogs, cats and even mosquitoes are disappearing and end up murdered. He definitely need to thank his red-haired boyfriend cause woah..I get being scared about ghost or becoming the next victim, but boy, couldn't yu have found another temple π€·ββοΈ
All I can say, Darin, nomatter how bad you're, you're not useless, cause you can still be used as a bad example. For what's worth, he kinda redeemed his stupidity by discovering that cooler whatever.
