I come from India and we also share a very bitter history with one particular neighbor and movies based on espionage…
Some people just don't want to use their brain and they just want to cancel anything they feel remotely offensive to them. It's as simple as that. Even amongst the Nazis there are people whom many consider as heroes, such as John Rabe who saved countless Chinese women and children from massacre. Does this suddenly turn the Nazis into a good entity? Of course not. Similarly, just because 1 or 2 ANSP people are depicted as "going after nk spies" in the drama, it doesn't automatically means ANSP are the good guys. Honestly this whole "protest" seems to me to be nothing more than a cheap publicity circus. Who knows what is real motives are at the end of the day? I'll just treat their "protest" with a grain of salt.
@mastamma Don't tell me, despite living in India, you never knew about the Padmavati controversy. You know what?…
There's literally a movie called Jojo rabbit which portrayed Hitler as a friendly and nice chap and the best friend of a kid (albeit imaginary) and last I checked, it wasn't banned anywhere and it's even used to teach people about holocaust in Germany and by the USC Shoah Foundation. Easy to be ignorant when you wanna' support censorship, eh.
Yoo In Na’s character is shady asf. I am pretty sure she has an ulterior motive no way in hell the production…
She's practically a cameo for 5 episodes so far that it's really annoying. Her talents are wasted. I kind of understand why people get annoyed when they picked someone with 0 experience as the lead and waste someone like yoo in na in a cameo despite hyping her up as one of the stars of the show beforehand.
I suspect the remainder of the show is going to be about how Soo ho is going to try to gain her forgiveness from…
Yeah. I really hope the writers will have the guts to actually ensure that they do not end up together. I will really applaud them if they did that because that's brave and out of the norm storytelling.lets see how it pans out.
Started this for HAE IN( Soo ho ) ,now i just want YOUNG RO to get a happy ending, the girl is literally traumatized…
I suspect the remainder of the show is going to be about how Soo ho is going to try to gain her forgiveness from what he did. Somehow I think he'll die saving her in the end. I just don't see them having a happy ending, especially when he took her hostage and pointed a gun to her head.
Listen, netizens and whomever. Cease your witch hunt. This happens all the time when you don't like a drama and…
I think it's just a couple of snowflakes who kept copy pasting each other's comments and repeating it over and over again. I don't see them around the past few days though.
A huge and big THANKS to GEO9875 for all your hard work in subbing this whole series. This series has been a great ride and I've totally enjoyed it thanks to its great acting and storyline. Thanks again GEO9875 for the amazing subs and may you be blessed for your kindness!
one word. SasukeAnother two wordStockholm Syndrome
Lol Naruto.however I can't agree with Stockholm syndrome because this is not a case where she fell in love with him after she was taken hostage. She was already in love with him beforehand. Sasuke is perhaps more accurate but that's an anime lol.
Oh wasn't she? But at the very least she's supposedly to be a "lead" but all I'm seeing is her being in a cameo role. her screentime has been like 5 mins every episode? Sometimes 1 min ? Lol what a waste.
Let's be frank, after today's episode, there's literally no way they can continue building Soo ho's romance with young ro without it being unbelievable and ridiculous . Pointing a gun at your loved one's head, taking her as a hostage and using her as sort of a shield ? Things were going so well so I just can't brain why such a scene was added. I had the same misgivings early in scarlet heart ryeo as well when Wang so tried to kill hae Soo very early in the show. I think the writers really screwed up big up with that scene, I'm sorry. There's no way in hell I'm going to continue loving someone who just took me hostage and pointed a gun to my head, no matter what was his/her justification. Also, Can they give more screentime to yoo in na already? This must be the first drama where I barely ever see the 2nd female lead's face even though she's promoted as such.
The accusations are already proven to be false, though.1) 4 episodes in, it is clear that Suho is not, and has…
Yes you are spot on. No one watching this with a neutral standpoint will think that this show portrays the government in a good light nor will they think the protestors are actually spies. People who think otherwise are those who were already influenced by the propaganda thrown by those wanting the show to be cancelled so no matter how the show turns out, they will somehow mold the story to fit their own narratives. There's no way those propagandist will come out and admit they are wrong at this juncture simply because of how stupid they will look. So they have no choice but to insist on their propaganda no matter how untrue it is.
Who is the father of her baby?? Did she end up with the immature XZY??
Y do I feel she ended up with the musician boy. I mean her kid says he wants to be a musician i.e like the father and the musician is the one who returned back.
i like today's episode.. the last part was tense and i realize after watching teaser and trailer i didnt expect…
It's pretty simple. The arguments by the snowflakes are that the drama distorts history because ANSP was supposed to be a government organization going around accusing and torturing students on the grounds that they are spies. So snowflakes assumes that since soon ho is a spy and ANSP is going after him because he is a spy, it seems like ANSP is correct after all and their actions are justified. hence the issue of glorifying what was supposed to be a murderous organization. However, events in episode 2 has already disproved all that because ANSP'S own agents admitted that they framed protestors or whoever they caught by labelling them as north Koreans spies and torturing them even if they are not. This was again reaffirmed by the headmistress in episode 4 (she's super good In her acting in the show btw) when she told boon ok that if they are caught, they will be painted as spies even if they are not, one way or the other.
So basically all the issues about historical distortion to glorify the government at that time is bullshit. However, we don't know for sure what are the snowflakes trying to achieve.this is because the show although it seeks to depict the era which snowflakes insist are controversial, the depiction are firstly, fictionalized, secondly, does not romanticize the ANSP, thirdly, does not follow what happened historically as well. In short, these snowflakes insist that any dramas produced about that period of time must strictly follow their narratives else they will protest against it because it's a historical distortion. Sounds lame ? Yes. Sounds dumb? Yes But that's what they insist on and they will stop at nothing to achieve that, even if it means destroying the lives of everyone involved in making the drama, right from the directors and the way down to those normal staffs and extras.
Let's switch the narrative to Nazi Germany. We all know Nazis killed jews. Let's say we have a switch of the scenario. A show is made depicting the Nazis catching German students and accusing them to be Jews. However These Nazis will still kill Jews if they find them. These snowflakes are now going to protest because it seems that Nazis are only catching German students and accusing them as Jews as well as torturing them. So according to the logic of snowflakes, Nazis are less evil than what they are supposed to be.
However what these snowflakes fail to see is that the Nazis will still kill Jews irregardless. It doesn't matter if they now catch German students and accuse them to be Jews. It doesn't change the fact that they are still after the Jews, nor does it excuse the fact they are still evil and they are still killers.
