I also completely disagree with reducing Mido to some “bottom of the barrel” character and the writing to “self suffering and inadequacy”. People are messy. Sometimes people don’t overcome everything. Sometimes work becomes too much. Sometimes they fall apart instead of becoming stronger. That is also human.
Mido may not be your kind of person. But not every character has to be admirable, emotionally healthy or make the right decisions all the time to be interesting or understandable. That is the whole point. They are people.
You keep saying you like deep and complicated stories, but the moment a character becomes really messy, doesn’t do what you think someone should be doing and things get complicated, you call her pathetic, “bottom of the barrel” and dismiss the writing.

And than someone kissing her that pushed her buttons. At that moment it's hard to just say no. After that, yes, she was not at all happy about it. But feelings got mixed up because she is loyal.
I had a feeling this show would be very interesting because of the premise and it is living up, untill now, to my expectations. This is not the typical romance story that the male and female have some problems but in the end, are together and happy. This has more to do with what comes after. And also, I can't stand the morality police here. There are no clear lines. This is a show about humans. Not robots.
