When I was watching last weekend, I actually said to myself, "Lord help any man who tries to pursue Kwang Sook now, it will not end well for him"🤣🤣🤣🤣. Kwang Sook is marked woman 😂😂😂.

True - it could be her first time but how she is handling everything is quite improper. There is a desperation to it and she seems to lose all common sense. And how she has become so incapacitated. And with Ha Ni, it's like it's the first time she is seeing a baby.

Unlike Bom, you can tell she has butterflies when she looks at Kang Soo but she tries to remain calm.

But Kang Soo is a sucker for a damsel in distress. They really should not have made them siblings- I think they would have made a far better couple than her and Beum Soo.
But now things are complicated- his sister likes his brother 🤣.

This is a great summation of Se Ri's character. Like her parents she is quite selfish,- everything is about her feelings- she is okay with crossing lines and breaking rules. Beom Soo even asked her why it's only about her feelings and not other people's feelings? If she really cared about Beom Soo, she would not have confessed, until after she graduated. Now she is forcing him to consider her feelings and does not care about the ramifications for his career. She also twists everything he says- like when he said he was worried about her- it was genuine concern for a student by a professor. And when she confessed and he said he does not want to go through a whirlwind of emotions because of her. Then she asked if he is stirred by her🤦🏽‍♀️. He had not even given her a thought at that point.

She spends her days in bed, miserable, because the man she thinks she likes does not reciprocate- and more and more- it seems she likes the baby more than the man. She only met him a few months ago and now she cannot really function because of a rejection. At least Ok Bun still shows up to work and does what she needs to do.

I hope the writers do not gloss over everything and make it seem like they are meant to be. They really aren't- Beom Soo still has a lot of anger and needs to heal from his failed marriage. So forcing herself onto him is really cruel and shows just how far removed from reality she is. And if Beom Soo ends up reciprocating, I am not sure it will be really love. It might be a way of him dealing with his wife's rejection. His wife left him for money and he replaces her with someone like Se Ri who is desperate for him and she is an heiress. This way he can feel needed. Not a healthy relationship.

Se Ri's first major mistake with her parents was not adamantly refusing to marry Gyeol from the beginning. Instead of making that clear to her parents, she ran to confess her feelings to Beum Soo. So if Beum Soo had reciprocated, she would have had a scapegoat. On top of that, she has said twice, that if she had not met the Professor, she might have married Gyeol.

Se Ri does need professional help and not romantic love. Her obsession with Beom Soo and Ha Ni is a symptom of a problem- maybe her desire to break free- but at the beginning of the show she was quite fine and getting along fine with her parents. I really think the writers have made this story much bigger than it needs to be.

I don't think anyone will confront Se Ri- everyone seems to be coddling her, especially when she starts crying. She also makes issues bigger than they are- like how worried she was about Beom Soo after her Mom pulled her out of class. It was not such a traumatic event that it required her to melt into a puddle. On top of that, Beom Soo has been through so much worse so he would just consider that to be a minor embarrassment, but she acted like the world was ending.

Se Ri is also quite immature for her age. She keeps insisting she is an adult but she really isn't. She is in her late 20s, I think, but behaves like a 16-year old- her parents sheltered her for too long. Whereas with Bom- losing her mother at such a young age forced her to mature quickly. Right now, I think Beum Soo just pities her- he can see that there is a problem but does not know how to handle it. He also has his own life to take care of and Ha Ni.

True- the other couples are just a mess and do not make any sense. Just glad the main leads get a lot of the screen time and the relationship between the four brothers and Kwang Sook.
The only other two couples that are natural to me are Chun Soo and Mi Sun, and Mr Go and Mrs Gong- they are fun. The others, in my view, are not necessary and drain the life out of the screen.

Kang Soo annoyed me a bit over the last two episodes. He told Beum Soo to consider Se Ri's feelings but has he ever asked his brother how he is doing after his divorce? Does he think he should move on so easily, and with his student? And he thinks Beum Soo feels the same as Se Ri because of one interaction he saw them have? On top of that, he can see how mentally and emotionally unstable Se Ri is right now, and that is what he wants for his brother and niece?

If something like this had happened to Kang Soo with a female subordinate while he was still in the army, and in the position of authority that he was in, he would have rejected her advances. So why is he telling his brother to risk his academic career and his values? Beum Soo even told him that it is wrong but he kept pushing- he is choosing to listen to Se Ri's tears over his brother. This further reflects his naivete, and for a guy in his 30s🤦🏽‍♀️.

And then Se Ri wonders why Beum Soo cannot be as nice as Kang Soo, and says he is cold. So reminding her of the rules and rejecting her advances, makes him cold? The writers gave Se Ri far too much screen time this weekend🤦🏽‍♀️.

I feel like the show is making fun of some people in society who believe that if someone likes or is obsessed with you, you should like them back 🤦🏽‍♀️ . Should it be okay because it is being done to men in the show and not to women? Kwang Sook and her Mom both agreed that Ok Bun is a little crazy but they are constantly saying that she and Heung Soo are meant to be🤦🏽‍♀️.
Now Kang Soo is doing the same - and even agreed to send her pictures of Ha Ni- only fuelling her unhealthy obsession with Ha Ni. She really needs to go work in a nursery.

A person is not obligated to like someone back or violate their values just because that person likes them.

I also want him to work hard for it- she should not have told him about the butterflies- he did not deserve to know yet.

I am of the completely opposite view. I thoroughly enjoyed the angry, mean and childish Chairman. It was exactly what I expected and I think the writers and the actor did a fantastic job. I am a bit sad that he only lasted one episode🥲.
While he was really mean to Kwang Sook, I do understand where he was coming from- he has put all his hopes into this relationship- he was so consumed by it and it didn't happen. He needed to emotionally isolate and Kwang Sook kept appearing everywhere. She couldn't even keep quiet in the elevator🤦🏽‍♀️.
But in spite of his anger, he remained professional- he did not cancel any of her contracts. So there's a point for him.

But because he was so mean and twisted her intentions, I don't think he deserved that little nugget where she confessed that she had felt some butterflies. I would have preferred if after his anger subsided, he started feeling lonely again and missing her, leading him to grovel and taking her up on her offer of friendship.

A new version of the Chairman can enter the picture- the patient and long-suffering version. Maybe Chun Soo can lead him on the right path and advise him to wait.

I did not like how when Kwang Sook told the Chairman again that she had been recently widowed, he said he had heard it all before. To me, that showed me that he did not care that she was still grieving, which is sad😪. The writers should have had her remind him about how long he needed to grieved for.

Given how things are going, I am beginning to doubt that we will get a time jump😪. So will the show take place over a period of a couple of months? Because of Ha Ni- she needs to be shown to be growing so if they want to keep the same baby, everything will have to take place over a couple months.

Am glad she gave him a good shouting because he was really being mean. On top of that, it means he was only helping her because he was expecting to get something out of her- which is really unsettling. If he did not have any romantic feelings towards her, he would not have gone out of his way to promote her business.

I also can relate to the Chairman- he had put his all into this and did not get the outcome he wanted. So avoiding her for a bit is important but she would not leave him alone🤦🏽‍♀️. She should have just kept quiet in the elevator- why add salt to a wound? I also agreed with him when he said being friends with her was no longer an option for him because he saw her romantically. Am glad he was honest about that- too many people get comfortable being friend-zoned and he made it very clear that it was all or nothing. But I think he may have swallow his pride and settle for being friends with her for now until she is ready for more.

I wish she had not told him about feeling butterflies. It would have been nicer if he came around just because he missed her, and tampered down his expectations.

I hope he is not going to try to help her through her struggles. Those are things she needs to work through on her own. Maybe Chun Soo can set him on the right path- i.e. the path of not doing anything and being patient for as long as it takes.

I worry about Gyeol not telling his Dad. He should also be told about the Beum Soo factor.
Also the Chairman has not noticed that Bom has a crush on Kang Soo, which could impact his relationship with Kwang Sook- a brother-in-law becoming a son-in-law🥺. If it becomes a problem, Kwang Sook might refuse to ruin Kang Soo's happiness.

Kwang Soo just needs time to grieve. If the Chairman can give her that, no matter the length of time, he can win her heart. But from the look of the next episode, he is rushing in again, but with a different plan- to go through her brothers.

So he only lasted one episode😂🤭 .
I enjoyed angry and petty Chairman. And looks like he is going to try a different tactic- he will go through her brothers- starting with Chun Soo.
I hope he actually gives her time to grieve, this time.

His smile is back in the next episode 😁😂.

I have to give credit to Nam Jin for making copies of the recordings and for advising Sang Ah to go to the police. Well until his greed set in🤣🤣. I like how he told Sang Ah that he is tired of her.

Why aren't So Woo and Seon Ju brainstorming with Man Eun? She knows Soon Ae well so she can figure things out.

Mi Ju is the lead in a drama called Kind Ok Soon 👍 🤣🤣🤣.
I would honestly just tell Woo Sang's Mom to go away. She is just trying to use her. Mi Ju is focussing on building her career right now and Woo Sang needs to do the same.

Pi Su II can't even visit Jin Ju and his grandson ?🤦‍♂️

What can Sang Ah possibly tell the police about Seon Ju when the police basically cleared her? And there were cameras.

Looking forward to Tae Sang meeting the son 🤣🤣. His good looks and charm will not work on that boy 🤣🤣.

Nice to see Chairman laughing with Seon Ju. It will be a tearful reunion for him, indeed. The Jin family owes Man Eun a lot🙏.

You are making a lot of sense. I am hoping for a time jump too, and now is the perfect time. Beum Soo also needs to grieve the end of his marriage. He has been running on anger so time will allow for healing and forgiveness.
Can't wait to find out this weekend. I would feel sorry for the Chairman, though- waiting five years- but it is necessary.

There is the scene in the preview where Kwang Sook is watching the brothers playing outside- it made me wonder if that is in the future🤔, or it's a current scene that makes her want to reject the Chairman...

The FL's mother was really over the top- she refused to understand what her daughter was going through, yet she is a widow herself. She should have understood the most. But she is also concerned about what other people think🤦🏽‍♀️. I am surprised she is not being pushy about the Chairman- she is allowing it to play out. Or maybe she learnt her lesson after the handbag debacle.

Yes- a time jump would allow for healing, which is crucial if Kwang Sook is to move on, and also fix the Se Ri problem. No one can mature in just a few months- she needs years of independence. If the goal is to have her marry the professor in the end, she needs to grow up.
Maybe Ok Bun can mature too, while they are at it lol.
And Heung Soo can figure himself out while Bom and Kang Soo graduate from being interns and the brewery becomes a success.

I have enjoyed baby Ha Ni but I think a talking Ha Ni would be much more fun.

Yeah- the culture places a lot of emphasis on honouring these relationships. And here, it is heightened by the guilt the Chairman is carrying.

I was just saying below- have you noticed that the synopsis here says that the Chairman has been widowed for 15 years- yet in the show, it's 10 years? Is that just a typo or could we be looking at a five-year time jump after this weekend's episode(s)?
There are many reasons why a time jump could work and many why it couldn't🤔.

That makes me sad because she did love him deeply and it will take some time to move on from him. The depth of the love is not contingent upon the length of time that they were together. The love could have been the same even if they were married for 10 years. It would be nice if the writers could honour that.

Have you noticed that the synopsis here says that Dong Seok has been widowed for 15 years, but in the show, they are saying 10 years? Could it be that we are looking at a five year time jump? Possibly after this weekend?
There are many reasons why this would not make sense but also many reasons why it could:
1. Kwang Sook will have ample time to grieve (not that we can put a time limit on grief)
2. It will give Se Ri time to grow and mature a bit- maybe she will go to the US to finish her Master's or study for a PhD and return. She cannot mature over a few months.
3. The other characters can grow and properly establish their careers. Bom and Kang Soo can move up from being interns; Heung Soo can figure himself out.
4. It will give the two breweries time to recover properly and be well established- although I don't think Silla will be doing so well. Maybe that family will go bankrupt.
5. The bond between Kwang Sook and the brothers can form properly in that time and they will become real siblings.
6. Ha Ni can grow up
7. Ha Ni's mother's marriage would have progressed and we can see the outcome- I really think she will end up divorcing her new husband.

Or maybe the 15 years is just a typo🤷🏽‍♂️.
