Yes agree, pacing and development could have been done smoother.

I have to say that I almost gave up on this season because the cases and character development were uncomfortable and I didn’t like the direction it was going.
But the last 2 Episodes wrapped it up brilliantly for me.
I understand what the season was about.
Especially how the end of S2 explained the end of S1.
At least that’s how I interpreted it.

TJC was phenomenal bringing in the complexity of the Shen Yi character and the cast delivered.
