You're on point about everything. Also, the male lead and the second female lead are from the same company so, C-Alices are scared. Jaywalk is also imposing. They are saying it's again a Long Ballad & Anle 2.0 situation. According to them, the situation is quite similar so she might get used again. I agree it can impact the whole drama if they do favoritism and don't adapt the novel faithfully. I am also hoping that they don't do anything dirty. I just can't trust them.

It's all about buying awards and having connections & backing. At that time they didn't want to acknowledge Dilraba and her fans. Once gov started praising her then the industry also started paying attention to her. She also didn't even get Weibo Queen despite leading on votes(forgot the year). She got robbed twice. So u can imagine the situation. Despite having huge traffic (also having popularity among neutral audiences and giving hit dramas one after another she didn't get recognition at that time.

It depends on what's written on the contract. It's very complicated. If she signed the contract then there might be limited chances. She doesn't have that much power as she is not fully independent. She is still under the shackles of Jaywalk and Jaywalk's seal of approval is another thing to consider. Also, she can't offend the platforms. Overall, it's a complicated situation. Fans are hoping she withdraws if the producers don't listen to the novel readers & C-Alices.

She is an amazing actress. She has a great acting range and all these were reflected in her earlier dramas and movies. Despite playing supporting characters she used to outshine others. She is a scene stealer. If she is a bad actress then she wouldn't have become popular. She is popular because of her acting & charming personality and for portraying all these characters beautifully (Feng Ju, Anarhan, Gao Wen, Guan Xiao Di, Li Hui Zhen, Liu Jia, Tong Tong) not because of her beauty or controversies. She earned 8 million Weibo followers alone for the character Gao Wen during the Diamond Lover days. In Peach Blossom, her character Feng Jiu was a scene stealer. Then Tencent had to greenlit the pillow book due to the popularity. I can go on and on about her achievements. It's a pity that recently she didn't get good scripts to showcase her acting caliber, ability, and potential like all her past dramas and movies. She had to become a capitalist tool.
"She is a bad actress only pretty face"-- This is a negative PR campaign done by her competitors after she got the Golden Eagle Award due to jealousy. They were afraid that she might get mainstream dramas like Tong Liya, and Reiziya.

I am so scared & worried for Dilraba. You're on point. You wrote everything here that I wanted to write. That useless company Jaywalk is throwing Dilraba into the wolves' den. I had a hunch that this might happen (I read some rumors); I was still trying to be optimistic. But they disappointed me way too early. If this goes on like this then it's again Long Ballad & Anle 2.0. Her character introduction was revealed online, they are changing the plot & the character. Deleting the heroine's highlight scenes and changing them to glorify the main male character. The scripts might be written in a way to highlight the artists with strong backing in this drama. So, again she is getting used by others( producers, production company, other artists companies). Dilraba got this drama at the end (she signed the intent of agreement)but because this drama has artists with strong capital backing & investors, it started earlier than all her upcoming dramas. It's a pity that this novel is so good & popular but they are now ruining it. I will be happy if I am proven wrong about all these things.
Same I'm praying she leaves this year. If only she had strong support then this might not happen. This Jaywalk cannot and will not protect her.

Yes, I agree that's the disadvantage of Mango TV. Their subs are worse. I hope they improve it cause they've lots of exciting projects lined up.

True. & many times things didn't work out with IQIYI. But they treat their dramas well. They made good dramas with excellent production. Let's see what happens. I heard Cheating Man Must Die got picked up by Mango TV. IQIYI was preparing it but due to a lack of funding, it went to Mango ( production company is still the same). Not confirm though.
Yes, she deserves better. Earlier, I had a conversation with others about how Raba doesn't have capitalist backing and a strong agent to support her. That's why she didn't get better treatment from all the platforms. Got betrayed by those platforms so many times, and now I am keeping my expectations low.
Agree, that they do give opportunities to Dilraba, and her dramas become hit & profitable for them but compared to other artists she doesn't get better treatment than how the top artists of China deserve (that's why I complained). Just wishing from now on she gets the best.

Youku is bad in the sense that their management is not good. They don't manage their dramas professionally and sometimes they don't care. The Blue Whisper suffered internationally due to not providing the subs on time. It killed the hype of this drama. They neglected this drama and completely relied on Dilraba and her fan Alices for promotion. Compared to their other S+ dramas, it didn't get good treatment from Youku. That's why I'm salty. Ironically, Blue Whisper became Youku's blockbuster drama of 2022. One thing about Youku is they are not bad like Tencent. Tencent does lots of politics and favoritism; IQiyi also does subtly. And another thing Youku is very approachable. Yes, I agree no platform is good. They all do politics and favoritism. Which is a known fact in China. Agree they are all business-minded. IQiyi made good dramas that's why I want her to work with them. Agree, she doesn't have any dramas from IQIYI.

Dilraba took the drama Anle as a favor to her Shangai teacher. However, due to the conflict between Youku & Shanghai Media Corporation, this drama suffered a lot. The first episode of this drama became the mockery of antis due to the worst CGI and the neutral audience was very disappointed. They had one and half a year to complete the post-production of this drama and also to resolve the conflict between the production house and the platform but they couldn't even manage to do that. Without solving the conflict and proper preparation drama got released and it impacted Dilraba negatively. That's why Youku is bad at handling their dramas. It also took time to get the license for this drama due to the censorship. Shanghai media casted Raba to promote their artists. So, the script was written in a way to support their artists. So, supporting artists got good costumes, cgi, and screen time compared to the two main leads. The novel was good but they didn't adapt it faithfully. Luo Mingxi got Anle's characteristics and traits. Overall, due to Shangai Media's Favoritism and Youku's bad management. This drama suffered a lot. I agree Shangai Media is at greater fault here. (Please Feel free to add, if I missed out anything about the conflict.)

Li Change is Dilraba's favorite character; she got a lot of strength and confidence from this character. It's my favorite manhua and seeing Raba playing this character is like a cherry on top of the cake. I was so happy to see Raba getting the award and praise from international audiences.
It's such a pity that Long Ballad suffered due to Tencent politics, behind-the-scenes drama, internal competition, and paid marketing. Tencent simply used Raba to promote their artists. I still cannot forget those days. How my girl suffered so much. That's why I was so happy to see that Long Ballad did well internationally.

You're so right. For this type of drama, the script is the main factor. It needs to be gripping and well-directed so that people can get hooked on the show starting from the very first episode. Same, it's my most anticipated drama. Praying it becomes a mega-hit and doesn't disappoint us.
Just as XXxxEllyxx said for the past 2 years IQiYi has been making well-made dramas. Their dramas are gorgeous and they are very passionate about making them. Under the skin, the knockout, Love between fairy & devil, Journey to Love, and Mysterious Lotusbook- these are all from IQiYi. Even the international hit novel adapted Thai BL drama " KimPorshe" was from them. They collaborate with good production companies like New Classics Media, Stellar Gravity, Linmon Pictures etc. That's why I want Raba to collaborate with them. But they are not rich like Tencent. Tencent is very rich, but they are more about promoting their artists than making good dramas. Before Tencent used to make good dramas. Youku is a poor platform with bad management. Youku & Tencent both used Raba's fan bases but didn't treat her dramas well. Compared to Youku's other S-plus dramas, her dramas didn't get the much-needed attention from the platform in terms of production value, CGI, VFX, etc. That's why I am still so salty.
