Well they kept arguing even tho i stopped a whole ago. Its honestly not about the translation skill, its about how Im looking for a xianxia novel but with the inclusion of words like magic it felt like im reading Harry Potter or something. Actually i cant read Chinese. Im more used to veterns in the genre doing translation. After all, in my eyes I could just read Harry Potter or whatever if I was looking for magic. Thats why I didnt enjoy that translation. If i read something Im looking for something very specific. Like I remember that danmei I once read where the mc pretended to be a girl and cross dressed 99% of the book. In my mind, im thinking I could just read a heterosexual love story instead of reading this. I just feel like i was cheated.
