I hate it when Asian dramas try to gloss over domestic violence. I know beating children is part of the Asian culture, I am Asian myself, but it is nothing to be proud of and nothing to be turned into a trope. We are not talking about a slap or shove here. We are talking about a beating that left a grown man in pain and scarred for days and we are supposed to treat it like it's culture and no big deal? The drama didn't have the depth or the breadth to handle such an intense arc and thus shouldn't have gone there in the last 2 episodes.

1st episode and 30mins in. Im having a headache. I dont get the dialogues, punchline and the comedy... stopping…
I have realised it gets better if I stop trying to understand the story, the dialogues or Ping's acting and just skip to the fluff.

I will not write a review of the series as I knew what I was getting into from the first episode and knowing it was by Mame. I just have one question- when will Mame stop using sexual assault as a 'trope' to advance her stories? Is she incapable of working with any other premise? I don't really think her tone-deaf use of SA raises awareness on the issue. It is probably doing more harm than good. I hope she realises soon there are other ways to make BL characters endearing instead of playing on their trauma.

So I guess the series will completely ignore the fact that Vee cheated on Ploy as well? Or are we still doing the 'gay sex doesn't count' thing in 2022? Vee slept with Mark before he knew about Ploy's cheating, explicitly told Mark not to tell Ploy but aggressively chased him while trying to make things work with Ploy and he never once admitted to Ploy he too may have started to have feelings for someone else. Instead of portraying Ploy as a selfish bitch and Vee as the innocent heartbroken Romeo, they should have portrayed them as a couple who have drifted apart and both made mistakes and decided to end things.

I probably won't live to see a Thai Lakorn that handles sexual assault sensitively. Given how much this industry loves to use rape as a trope for everyone- FLs & villains- you would think they'd be experts on this issue...but alas! Although, this Lakorn tried to do things differently in the early epis by engaging a psychiatrist but then went back to their tried and tested old shit where the victim became evil. Would it have killed them for once to sidestep the usual "jilted evil lover loses it and goes on a rampage" trope and just go with therapy, support and love from Ruj to heal Pin? Or maybe I misunderstood the writer's intention? Pin broke out of her 6-year trauma so well within just 1 day that she could not only confront her rapist fearlessly but also plan her revenge with him like they were buddies?

Can someone please explain why, even though it's Pha who's terminal, it's Wayu who always look portrays the expression of someone who has lost his home, his family, his dog and has realised climate change is real and Covid may continue for a few more years -all on the same day? 2 seasons in and I haven't seen a single other expression on his face.

I think the PPL of Chevrolet cars in episode 11 of Beyond Evil is an example of PPL done right. The early morning time, the wide aerial shot of the car as Ju-won solemnly drives to meet Dong -Sik and the absolutely gorgeous background score really heightened the scene. I can live with such creatively and aesthetically done PPLs. What drive me nuts are the juice and noodles PPL in Thai BL dramas. Instead of subtly putting a PPL in the scene, they will come up with actual scenes solely for the PPL.

A very good point about ML being more remorseful than in any other lakorn, that's what made this a very enjoyable…
Excellent point about the motivation for the assault. I'd like to believe he would have been just as repentant because he showed remorse before realising he had assaulted the wrong woman. However, though I said the ML's portrayal was 'relatively' better, I probably should unequivocally say, this Lakorn goes beyond normal (or what is considered normal in Lakorns) 'slap & kiss' genre. There is at the end of the day actual kidnapping by a complete stranger and actual rape by a complete stranger. I think I should edit my review to include this. I feel like I am letting off the drama easy just because the ML was sorry.

I like your point about stalking women. I kind of feel like Thai BL dramas take that trope a bit too far, especially the campus-centric ones. Watching these dramas you'd think Thai women have nothing better to do than to ship every random guy they come across. The dramas treat violations of privacy very lightly and in this day and age of growing concern over cyber/digital security and privacy, they have the potential to send very wrong messages to impressionable young adults.

My Mister's OST was amazing
I don't speak or understand Korean but Vincent Blue's Rainbow is one of the most played tracks on my phone. They couldn't have come up with a better song for the ML.

I love the OST of Itaewon Class (mostly Ha Hyun Woo's song). And Norazo also has made really great OSTs to various…
Prison Playbook's OST took the series on to whole other level.

It's Okay That's Love is my 1st drama where the OST was so memorable and perfectly played
The song 'Hero' which I came across in this series, though not an OST, is one of my favourite songs.
