the drama is solely about wei rao and her development as a woman that's why lu zhuo didn't get to shine and that's…
Lu Zhuo was the pretty accessory 😜🩷

it's a shame. I repeat. it's a shame they didn't even show us topless yan an!!!! what are those muscles even for!?!?!…
You’re making the right criticism here. Yan An is one hella beefy man if he works out for it. Did you see him in Veil on shadows!? My god… bro is lowkey pretty bulky compared to other actors it’s just hidden away..

This drama was pure, pleasant, and light entertainment for me. At the same time, The Lament of Autumn was airing,…
They censored the sex position guide but not the severed leg. Lord have mercy this is taking me out lmao

I didn’t spoil myself but I took a glance and saw quite the number of low reviews. And now that IVE finished watching I got absolutely no idea what drama they watched but it was a solid 9/10 for me. I think the drama isn’t necessarily some big positive message or meaning tbh. It focused very much on how hypocritical royalty could be. It’s such a joke because without the common people these wealthy and privileged individuals would be nothing. Yet they sit on their high horses eating their fill while the people suffer. Seriously, what a joke.

I wouldn’t necessarily say this is a feminist drama like Against the current. That drama focused heavily on women’s struggles, diff angles/perspective, women friendship etc etc.

This one is only focused on Wei Rao surviving and climbing to the very top trampling all those who try to tear her down. It makes for an incredibly entertaining story honestly. Her revenge is brutal, cruel, and smart. It has a charm that works differently from past dramas with a similar set up.

I think 30 episodes was enough. The story already had a lot going on I feel like anymore and it would ruin the tempo the drama had been running on. Sure there could’ve been time spared for something more productive in the show. Sure time could’ve been used to explain and fill in holes but I’m pretty happy nevertheless. Still not sure what other people watched but I watched a really entertaining drama with twists and amazing revenge. I loved Wei Rao’s story. I love how violent and aggressive she can be with her traps!

I was worried about the ending after reading the comments but honestly, I loved it! This type of ending suits…
I just finished it and wow was it so good!! Wei Rao is definitely has a little Jundai inside of her lol. I honestly disagree that people thought the ending was rushed. I think it paced perfectly for me. Sure, they could’ve had more time to pave way for the Wei Rao younger brother’s death. But god knows what went on during production and episode approval. This ending is genuinely WAY BETTER than most these days 💀 I think they did fib a few key scenes but they still delivered well. I think the ending was very fitting for Wei Rao. While I understand people might have wanted a more “concrete” ending we have to remember when the character’s story ends—it can end for us but not them necessarily. So obviously hardships would continue to exist! Think about it, there will always be people scheming and be malicious. I think the ending made sense and did something differently and didn’t stick with only “sad and tragic ending” , “happily ever after” but an actual GOOD fulfilling open ending. Not some cliff hanger but an ending that is open but still satisfying.

I haven't had a chance to watch the last few episodes yet. So far, it's been going really well. I've been avoiding spoilers about the ending, but I wanted a sense of what people thought. Why is there such a MIXED opinion on the ending!? Y'all are scaring meee. There's almost no middle. I saw some ratings at 4 with the title thrashing the drama, then 10 singing its praises. I'm scareddddd Dx

I don't know his real but been wondering too. Well, he is cute so I don't pay attention the rest 🤣😅
Yeahh I did! The dramas were great! Though they may not cater to your taste lol. There is romance but it’s not the absolute main focus. Still good watches tho!

Yan An honestly has a very nice voice. I will say it is quite soft and a tiny bit high. Especially when he’s just talking normally. So I guess it wouldn’t quite match the tough mature general tone he’s supposed to have haha.

don't worry, many of us had that problem, but believe me keep watching it gets better by ep 5, or maybe I just…
Alright I will trust the process haha. I’ll probably get used to it as I watch! I’m just so used to hearing Yan An’s real voice and it’s very nice 🌝 especially when it’s all husky and evil sounding LOL. I’m sure I’ll get around to the dubbed voice XD

Just finished the first episode and I’m finding it hard to continue. Yan An’s VA does NOT match his face at all 😭😭 it is wayyy too deep that the dubbing just feels off. I would’ve rather they just use Yan An’s real voice. I mean guess he’s supposed to be a general so maybe production wanted someone with a more “masculine” voice because Yan An’s voice is deep but it’s quite soft and a little high in a way? It’s still deep for a guy but I guess they wanted a more mature deep general tone. But couldn’t they have chosen someone else 😔 it’s lowkey taking me out of the moment. Like if Tian Xiwei can use her voice why not Yan A too bro omg. I’m not trying to dunk on the VA but it’s just not working for Yan An’s face. It’s making me SO SAD. I was so excited to see these two pair up together too 😭🙏

9.5/10 idc what anyone else says. This is my highest rating in a LONG time. Truly such a masterpiece. They really took their time telling us the story and my god did it have me in tears. Yes I know there was a lot of time skip but I can’t deny the story held up so well. So many details you have to pay attention and so many stories coming to an end without big holes.

I felt that this story stands out against most of the period idol dramas. Whereas they focus heavy on visuals and pushing many things around the couple (which isn’t a 100% bad thing just look at Pursuit Of Jade.) but this one really focused on the story, characters, and so much more that my little pea brain can’t name right now.

If you’re looking for a romance/visual drama this is definitely not the one for you. The stories have so many messages and meaning especially around women and community. Like my goodness this had me pouring buckets of tears. Such a good start to finish. Some parts were a bit rough but I am very satisfied. I have very little to gripe about. And honestly I truly felt like I lived the main leads life with them. Feeling the time pass season by season with every grey hair that followed lol.

Genuinely so amazing this drama definitely stands at 9.5/10 for me.

Small spoilers for ending

I literally cannot bring myself to watch the last episode..

What in the abysmal work is this in the last three episodes????? The beginning was good and had potential. Then the middle was fine but still watchable. Finally the end was just.. so rushed and so BAD. LIKE WHAT???

I’ve never rated dramas low before but this has to be a 6.5 for me. I’m open minded to every drama I watch and usually don’t mind the plot holes or if the script is a bit wishy washy. Unfortunately I literally cannot ignore it this time. The casting was good, costuming was presentable, osts were good, acting was actually pretty good. I liked the chemistry between the leads it was nice. However where did the plot go?? Did it get on a unicorn and just fly away??

This is just too ridiculous even for me who has more tolerance for illogical stuff in cdramas 😭🙏

I’m throughly disappointed in the story writing..

Title Feud
I’m so confused. Was she just acting the whole time? Or did HRY take over LQY? Because nothing ever indicates she’s been acting since we’ve seen her thoughts and actions whilst alone?

I genuinely need some answers PLEASE 💀💀

There's no confirmation yet but most probably this year(it's been quite long they wrapped), this one's previous…
Although they originated from the same source and are part of a series, technically speaking they are stand alone dramas. I’m also pretty sure this one year rule only applies to dramas with episodes that exceeds 40 or 45 I think. Only then do you have to split it a year apart but it’s still the same drama.

In this case each story isn’t in one big drama so they shouldn’t need to wait a year. Instead it’s in three diff dramas.

Unless I’m wrong then someone can correct me.

Love it so far but two things that bothers me is when the two lead argue. To me they argue like angst teenagers instead of grown adults and I’m so sorry but it’s starting to get on my nerves 💀 they go back and forth then blow it off with “afterwards we’ll be done” or “we’ll be even” I also find that every time Bai Shuo and Chong Zhao run into each other they have the same damn conversation EVERY TIME.

This is the 10th they’ve seen each other and they ALWAYS have to talk about the past. I GET it. I don’t need to hear the same conversation 100 times. Well that was a rant. Anyways, other than that I’m quite enjoying the drama so far. :)

Title Moonlight
Currently on ep 19 and here are my thoughts~

I’m liking it so far. Although it’s a little slow paced with nothing much on the line I like it. I quite enjoy it actually. It’s nice to just sit down and relax while watching something fun and simple. It’s not overly complicated nor are things at high stakes. Technically it is but it’s not super tense and usually resolved easily. It’s fluffy and cute.

However I do have a complaint or more. My biggest complaint would be the ml. Nothing is wrong with the actor himself. My problem comes with how the ml was written. Yes, he’s tsundere and stubborn but he honestly acts too childish at times in my opinion. He’s a 27year old adult but acts like a high schooler which drew me out of the story with his antics. There’s a certain extent to where to can push that behavior before it just feels immature and dumb.

Another thing, their relationship in the beginning is rather illogical. Realistically, I don’t think people would allow themselves to be treated the way he did to her in the beginning. It’s just a drama so who really cares? It was for the plot lol. Other than that I like the ml and the drama so far.

I also love the fl. I love her character sm! Although she is bubbly and bright she doesn’t allow herself to be taken be bullied. (besides the ml lmao) I like how she stands up for herself and what she believes in. I quite enjoy this drama so far so hopefully the ending is done well!
