He does gives off that feeling,but I guess cause it's a BL, especially a Chinese one, many of us are willingly ignoring that. I personally avoid damsel in distress troupes like a plague in both BL and BG,but i watched the 3 EPS,and read the novel.I am still neutral about it.

I was in a BL slump too,but double helix opened the flood gate. But I can only watch Chinese bls currently. So,I was really surprised when this BL came out and I actually liked it. Like it's been forever since I actually liked a Thai BL

A person can like or dislike a series, it's a public thing,and currently I am neutral about Bittersweet love.But I don't think I am jobless enough to attack someone even if they say my favourite show is trash.

As much as I hate the damsel in distress pov,I can somehow manage it here(probably because it's CHINESE BL, otherwise I can't handle this troupe in either a BL or BG drama).

First,he is an Asian,and me being one myself I actually saw many people like this. These people live a very very very miserable life,their lives are so traumatizing that they think even sitting on a chair will make the chair dirty. No matter how many times you tell them to sit on the sofa or a chair they refuses. These people are rare these days but not that uncommon. They usually have slave mentality. I am not supporting such mentality because these people usually don't want their freedom,and some even want another slave for themselves rather than wanting freedom. The concept of self respect is a luxury to them sadly.

And the series is about the 1900's I believe.

Tao and Yang are two different people

Take this with a pinch of salt as I am not sure.I only read the main couple's part on the novel,but Tao's name did came up few times. And looks like he will betray the top with the help of top's ex boyfriend. But he has good relationship with the bottom and helped the bottom to get his revenge on both his brother and top.

Again,I am not sure. I skimmed through the novel and basically didn't read a chunk of it. Also the novel had a bad translation. So,Yeap I can be entirely wrong.

Welcome,but we have to gritt our teeth and watch it till the end to see the revenge arc,in the novel,the revenge arc was really short. I hope they make it lengthy here.

But not for long. In the novel,his revenge arc was small and towards the ending, hopefully they make it big part of the drama.

In the novel,he was a pushover almost the whole time, around the ending he grew something similar of a spine and took revenge.

He is basically like this till the end, it was frustrating. But in the later parts of the novel he does grow something similar of a spine,(I said something similar) and takes revenge on his own family and on the top

Yeah,this BL was probably shot months ago,so they just finished filming the other BL,it will probably take months for that to drop. But I hope I am wrong
