I appreciate your post. So many others commenting how slow things are moving. I love seeing how taishin has been…
Yeah, I don't understand the slow comments either. Something important happens in each episode. It's just a low key story. All the big emotions are displayed gently and quietly and I appreciate this way of storytelling in a world where it's all so big and loud and bold and scary and alot of times mean, even in romances. I appreciate those as well, don't get me wrong. But there is something about this show that has my heart.
I really liked this series, the ending episode had lots of really powerful scenes. My only complaints were that the ending seemed to have ended awkwardly, if you know what I mean. Like Rak buying a house was cute and all, but then that was it. Like a hug and credits. Huh!? And then the little bit after the credits, was that the house? Why did Mut look so confused? And maybe the subtitle writer made an error, but the last line that was voice read, made zero sense to me. But I felt like I needed more...something. I'm not going to lie, I care zero about the GL story line. I didn't like the way they set it up the characters personalities and their storyline, so I'm cool never revisiting them. Other than that, I thought both Fort and Peat did a great job acting in this final episode. Mut bursting into tears in front of Meena was sooooo sad! I will say that I either need MeMindY to workshop with Peat and teach him how to cry in this crazy emotional scenes, or stop giving him roles he has to cry in. Cause when he was chasing the garbage truck and collapsed in the street was impactful til they did the close up. And even then, I was like, Ok Peat this looks great, good job, now squeeze out a tear or two and we are in business. I mean, the scene still worked, but again, I need Peat to learn how to cry with real tears if he is going to be doing these kinds of scenes in the future. Lastly, the thing that bothered me the most...did the stylist/ costume designer run out of budget for Rak's pajamas?! When they first showed up, I was like, okay a MAME special, she loves to put the "bottom" in an oversized long white (or black in Don't Say No's case) shirt to signal seduction. But every time after that the first time, if Rak wasn't going out of the house, he was in those pajamas. Like could maybe have just gotten the shirt in all the colors or something? Anyway, I'll miss the show, I really thought it was good. I'm looking forward to the special episode, unless its like Wedding Plans, then never mind, cause that was a waste of money and time! But if its in line with TharnTypes and DSN or LITA, then we are in for a fun time!ππππ
Gah, I love this show! I realized that this show is doing the opposite of what alot of Japanese shows do, where they have over exaggerated expressions and comments. I find those hilarious and like a reflection of what alot of people's internal dialogue must look like. But here, in this show, we are shown sly looks from Takara and quietly delivered lined where is kind of transparent about his feelings, but it's hard to notice because of his delivery. And Taishin thinks and speaks soo slowly, like he trying to process everything, a trait I can appreciate because he is just being careful and thoughtful with his thoughts and emotions. Especially cause these all seem to be new emotions and thoughts for him. The scene where Taishin confesses/figures out his feelings and Takara trying so hard not to show how much he wants to hear Taishin say, "let's date" was gold! Takara gently leading Taishin to ask HIM out but acting like he was doing Taishin a favor was hilarious. He kissed Taishin so fast, he didn't have time to figure out it happened til after the fact. Such a cute and heart warming scene! I'm loving the quietness and slow nature of this show. It's why I'm glad there are 11 episodes, cause as slow as the show is, they just start getting somewhere in the story and the episode is over. I cannot wait to see what happens next week now that they are dating. I just hope Takara finds away to convince Taishin that just wanting to be together is all one needs to begin a relationship.
Oh you should be in writing team π that would been great help Also I definitely think the star production doesn't…
ππ Listen, my dream job is to get all BL scripts and clean them up to make them successful! Like, the ideas are often great and have so much potential and then.... ick! I think you maybe be right about Star Hunter's writer. Cause all their shows have soo much to love and then it all falls apart.
Episode 9 was all over the place for me. Dad's ridiculous behavior toward Sun would make better sense, if they had written that opening scene better. Lin should have been devastated. The episode should have not started out like a 90s sitcom. Lin should have been a dark room crying, refusing to get up because his heart was broken. Then sister comes in the room and some how convinces him to come down. He should not have been in, once again, 90s sitcom fancy pajamas, but in a hoodie to hide his blotchy cry face from his family. Breakfast should have been family worried for Lin. That way, the Dad's dislike of Sun, this strong, would have made sense. The way they have it, the father would have known from the mom, that Lin actually left with out actually knowing anything about the situation and had never stopped to ask Sun. Then Dad, if he was rational, would figure out that Lin and Sun's problem was complicated at best and he just needed to support his kid, instead of all that juvenile behavior we got. I get it was supposed to be funny, but it wasn't really and would have been better if it was as serious as Lin's feelings were supposed to be. Then when Sun came and explained, he should have clearly apologized for the confusion of not getting Lin's permission to play boyfriend for a night with a friend. It's just common sense to ask or at least inform.
Also, while I am extremely glad we finally get Sam and Yo, that kiss was trash. What was that editing? Like make them reshoot that mess if it didn't turn out right. Also, I really wish all BL's would stop with the grown people being too shy to kiss and running away trope. Like, I get not wanting your mom or people passing by to see, but getting to kiss your brand new boyfriend would trump all the reservations anyone would have in that situation. I'm all for people being shy, especially in your first relationship, but like blush after and then look into each others eyes all happy. The best to ever do, "shy virgin, but I still want it" is Fluke/Pharm in UWMA.
I liked that we finally got the girls story. It felt a tad too long for a secondary side couple, but I liked it and it explained my biggest complaint about Prim being absolutely not crush worthy because she was soo mean. It would have been nice to get a few less scenes of the girls and a few more of Sam and Yo, but I'm glad we finally got some side couple development.
Lastly, the board meeting irritated me. I get that they sprang it suddenly on Sun, but it couldn't have been too sudden to at least check in through Zoom. He has to know that his position is precarious, so even with needing to clear things with Lin, he should have simultaneously been handling business. I kept hoping he would walk in and that was the cliff hanger they would leave the episode on, but no luck.
I think what is frustrating me about this show, even though I do like it, is that the budget seems big enough do better than cliched BL/GL misunderstandings and shenanigans. Star Hunter could have really made a stand out show, if they had only made sure the script was tight and made sense, flushed out the characters, and had hell of a workshop, especially on the romantic scenes. Cause the two side couples first kisses were trash. And Bank keeps leaving his eyes open for zero reasons. My grievances aren't necessarily with this show specifically, all though alot of the problems I have with all of the stories coming out lately are present in this show. It's the lastest BL's in general, at least the ones from Thailand. I'm going to go relook at my list of BL's from Thailand this year, but the last ones that wowed me were the Sign, PitBabe and Last Twilight. But I cannot remember a Thai BL that was as well written, directed, produced and acted as UWMA, ITSAY, ATOTS. I didn't necessarily expect that from this show, but it could have at least been The Sign good, and so I'm disappointed that with Star Hunters resources and experience that they didn't do better.
There were some hits and some misses for me for the finale. Hits: Latte and Almond's first time. I loved how freaking accurate that was. And funny! First times rarely go smoothly for anything you do, why in the world would sex? My favorite part was just when you think they had given up and were just going to go to sleep (honestly, valid response to the tomfoolery they were going through ππππ), but at the last second they just went for it, cause love! Another hit for me was the wedding. It is honestly sooo true that you cannot cancel a wedding just a week away. Well you can, but you will be out all the money. I loved that they took the opportunity to have a large party for all the family and friends, thank everyone for supporting them and introduce their loves. And for Dad to apologize for his part in the reason everyone was attending a non wedding. Plus Jane looked amazing! Another hit for me was all the sex education happening in that episode. Of course Latte would be nervous to have sex for the first time and seeking knowledge from people he trusted was brilliant. I loved the giggle he made will watching porn with Peak. I'm not a huge advocate for learning about sex through porn, but will admit that watching it would help one get the basics, especially if Peak showed him realistic ones. I also love Thanwa's conversation about consent and reassuring Almond that if at any time he wanted to stop, that was okay. And then Latte reaffirming that was chef's kiss! Now, the misses for me. Despite all that content, it definitely felt like a filler episode. I didn't care about the girl's book reading, even though it was a vehicle to introduce the new drama, Monster Next Door. In that segment, they did nothing to introduce us to those characters, so it didn't make sense. They didn't even run into each like I thought they would to make it matter that they were both there at the same time. It was a waste of screen time. The study scene as well. What was that? While yes, it provided a cute moment with all the characters, at this point it would have been nice to have more moments with just the two main couples. Same for when Peak took Thanwa to lunch/dinner. It was cute, but again, it felt like a filler moment. I would have preferred maybe a compilation of them dating and being a happy together. Spending lots of intimate time together, cause at that point, it would have been the first time Peak allowed himself to do that, so he would want to do it all the time. And by intimate, I don't just mean sex, although it is included. I mean laying in the bed talking or being silly with each other as a way to better cement his relationship with Thanwa. My last miss for was the ending. While I love that they took it back to playing spin the bottle, the misses a great opportunity to be the show they started as. They should have had them ask most of the same questions again, like have you had sex with a man and now both Peak and Almond would have changed their answers and we would have gotten flashes to them having a good time in the sack. And maybe, have you had sex outside and they flash to Almond and Latte actually doing it at the book reading, even though he initially said no when Latte asked. Stuff like that would have been hilarious and it would have shown how they have grown. Overall, I did like this show. I definitely think not enough people are talking about and it it deserves a higher rating. But I also kind of felt the end wasn't as good as the beginning, and that was a bit of a let down.
All the twists and turns are the best. I don't have a clue what is going on in any of the plot lines, but I am here for them all. The best part of BOC is their top tier production quality. The shots are immaculate, There are so many tiny details that just show this company will put on a hell of a show. I would also like to thank everyone involved for the Bible on the rooftop in white underwear. I did not know I needed to see that in life, but it was absolute necessary. ππ As for Dr. Tyme, I cannot figure him out. He seems to really be smitten with Great, but he is working on something sneaky behind the scenes that seem outside of his scope of doctor. But he seemed surprised that Great was there at with Korn. And he revealed himself when he didn't really have to...so I just don't know. ππ Loved the date and car scene. Sweet with side of tension. Tongkla and and the cop were interesting. Good NC scene, except I need the writers to come up with more than "Can you fuck me raw?" Unless they are going to reveal some weird plot line that I cannot imagine at this point that has Tongkla always asking for it raw. Even so, we can advertise Durex without the same line every time, can't we?! It would have been okay, if the cop just reached for condom and lube and we could see the label. Job done. Anyway, I am worried about that relationship. Tongkla has a lot going on mentally, and even without that scene at the beginning of ep. 2, I'm scared of what Tongkla is going to do, honestly just in general. Right now, I'm just trying to see him as a person who is extremely lonely, morning his brothers death and seemingly being abandoned by his boyfriend. He's allowed to be a little off and self destructive. Every plot line has me on the edge of my seat and I kind of wished I had waited to watch it and binge it. But oh well. See ya'll next week! π
Stop spreading misinformation, my god. If you actually watched the movie you'd know the content was covered in…
Same thing happened in the movie and the end was just friends. That is why I said I hope they won't do the same ending as the movie. That is all. It's just that we are getting toward the end, and it's not really clear. Taichi is still asking himself WHY he should care if Kohei goes with that girl and no longer needs him. He was not clearly jealous, and honestly, I have seen a ton of bromances show jealousy between the ML. So that doesn't mean anything. He has yet to say anything about his feelings. So, in my opinion, it's not clear yet, and with not alot of episodes left, I was worried about the direction they may be taking it. That is all I meant by my comment. It's not misleading anyone, just voicing a concern about what I have observed. I fully expect everyone else to watch the show and draw their own conclusions.
What a good ending! It would have been nice to see the wedding or get more happy moments with them together so we get a bit more happy moments, but overall, I was happy. Everyone's acting in this last episode, especially Offroad's was amazing! That "dying" was painful as it was meant to be! When they too Vee away as San was supposed to get ready to "go". Offroad did a move that only people who grieve do, he let his knees buckle. A small move, but impactful to show how Vee felt in that moment as he was going to say good bye to his love. And then when San stopped breathing and Vee checked by putting his finger under San's nose, Offroad, again, did this move and sound that you only see in immense grief, he threw his head back and made a sound like "oh" But its the kind of "oh" sound you only make when you realize you have lost everything that matters to you. Again, super tiny moment, but incredibly impactful to make me believe that he truly was grieving for his lover. The rest of them amazing as well. Tao collapsing to his knees. My girl Juu has been here acting her butt off the whole series. Her and Aunt Ratt where crying extraordinares. Daou surprised me with his acting, in both series. I shouldn't be considering his families business, but to be so new to acting in tv, it was still a surprise to see how good he is for only his second series. All in all, I really enjoyed this series. Love DaouOffroad and I hope they get to do another series, together or apart soon.
Pretty much. It ended as them being friends. Honestly, the series has been spot on in comparison. The movie ends after the kiss and confession. They agree to just be friends. But honestly, the Taichi in the movie was even more obsessed with the movie Kohei, so it makes sense that they just continue on from that point but then make Taichi change his mind. I just feel like the obvious signs for Taichi starting to have feelings for Kohei aren't there, so I'm a bit nervous. But I think next week will make it all clear.
Stop spreading misinformation, my god. If you actually watched the movie you'd know the content was covered in…
First, please change the tone of your message. You don't know me, so you don't get to tell me what I can write. If you had stated your comment nicer, with respect, the respect that everyone deserves, I would then respond to you that I forgot a word. I did actually watch the movie, and yes I am aware that we are past the part where the movie ends. My comment was that I was afraid that they MIGHT still end it like the movie. And there has been nothing story wise to indicate that Taichi had ROMANTIC feelings. He has shown to really care for Kohei. But in the movie, so did the Taichi in that one, and yet he still said he could never think of Kohei that way. That was ONLY point in my post. You can disagree with someone's post and not be rude. Notice how I am not being rude to you. I disagreed with your statement with out telling you what and how you should write. Please do better.
I'm getting nervous that they are going to keep this like Silhouette of Your Voice in that Taichi will still be straight and they will be best buds. Cause why is next weeks [preview them agreeing to be friends again. I need Taichi to either get pissed that little girlie is taking Kohei away or withdraw, only for Kohei to come and find him and insist the talk. At which time Taichi admits to feeling something but he doesn't know what it means. I need them to get this romance off the ground and not turn it into a bromance. My only hope is that when reliving the kiss scene, Taichi was blushing hard.
I loved how they ended the Dad situation. It was completely realistic that Rak, Kwan, Meena and even the Mom would we terrorized by this man for years, so they would just given in. Alot of trauma we keep with us, stems from what happened to us as children. Showing that even though Rak is this grown man who is rich in his own right outside of his mother's money, doesn't exclude him from literally turning into a child in the face of his father. He was a completely different person dealing with the bully of his cousin vs. his father. I was sooo happy Mut showed him, not just stick with me and I'll protect you forever, that isn't realistic. But Mut showed him, that most of Rak's fears are from being a helpless child, Rak is no longer helpless. His father is essentially an old man dependent on his wife and children to take care of him. Rak has the control. Oh, I cheered so loudly when Mut knock his dad to the ground then got busy with extra punches. While I am so sad the show is ending next week, I really enjoyed this show. I will say, what I like about MAME is her ability to grow as an author. This was a complete story with great characters and little to know gaps. Her flaws for this series, for me, were the GL story line. And I hope, much like her earlier BLs, she will take the feedback from the consumers of her content and adapt and change for later works.
Ahhhh! I need it to be like 15 minutes longer each episode! At least we get 11 episodes when normally we get only 8. Man, if JBLs would understand that they could take over the genre if they would just make their series longer with better kissing. They are starting to get the picture, but I'm selfish! I need more! The only JBL I didn't enjoy was One Room Angel and I'd argue it wasn't a BL, even though it was marketed as such. Other than that, they have all been top tier. Waiting a week is going to be so hard!
But the kisses stole the limelight π₯²Both the couples really did well, and it goes well with the story. I'm…
Literally two separate people before you agreed with me, so I'm not the only one who feels those scenes were lacking. Most people are experimenting with some kind of sexual activity in their teens. Not all, but most. And I have said over and over again, that his shyness wasn't the problem, it was the fact it did not match what the rest of the show presented. We are going to have to disagree on this, but since it was my post and my opinion, you don't get to come on my post and tell me I'm wrong. Maybe you are wrong. I feel it was incomplete, and your telling me otherwise is not going to change my mind.
I like the romance part, not really sure I understand the back story with the Naga, but even Lin said, say what now?!ππ Banky looked beautiful as a patient, so I appreciated that part. And Naga girly outfit was top tier. Her jewelry was amazing! I liked the brief moment with Sam and Yo and I hope we get alot more of them next episode. I don't care about Prim and Pim. Prim is too mean at this point for anyone to be interested in her. If they had show her being a tiny bit nice to literally anyone, I might be able to by Pim eventually being into her. But Prim giving Pim a hard time for crying was just...ugh! What if she WAS crying about work being too hard. Sometimes, especially if you have never done it before, work is frustrating and making constant mistakes will have even the strongest of people feel upset. Why couldn't Prim be like, I see you are having a hard time, so if ask me any question, I will help if I can? She literally was like, I know you are here to learn, so stay in your place, but do your job, even if know one is teaching you how to do your job, including me. I know they have to be together, but at this point I cannot see why Pim would fall in love, even if she admired Prim all this time. I mean, yes she is drop dead gorgeous, but her personality sucks. Lastly, I actually like the acting in this. Especially Mos. Him crying, worrying about Lin and then crying even harder when Lin woke up, in relief, was so heart warming. Like I said, I like the romance in this. It is so evident that Sun loves Lin, full stop. He simply wants to be with Lin and take care of him and that is beautiful. Now I know there is an explanation as why he is with that girlie, and I am rolling my eyes at both of them now. Why didn't Sun tell Lin about the girl, especially after he took that picture? And why didn't Lin just ask?! Like I would take the picture and say, explain this to me. Now bring me the girl and have HER explain it to me. The end. I am looking forward to next week, cause I hope that Sun asks his mother about all her little artifacts and their connection to Lin and his dreams. Cause she has to be the one to explain what the heck is happening.
Young people in love doesn't mean we won't be shy. Also someone like Almond, he couldn't even confess to his crush...…
No one said he wouldn't be shy. However, he would have pushed through. If everyone stayed shy when having sex, no one would have sex. He wasn't too shy to go to a sex store, when he could have gotten a dildo/vibrator online. He wasn't too shy to try and use the sex toy or to tell his boyfriend that he wasn't ready. He would have done SOMETHING, even if he wasn't ready for penetrative sex.
But the kisses stole the limelight π₯²Both the couples really did well, and it goes well with the story. I'm…
Child, I am 45 years old. Don't tell me where I need to go. I can enjoy both this, 4 minutes as well Love Mix Up, the Japanese version, with out getting confused as to what the plot needed. I LOVED Love Mix Up and it barely had a hug. I am not one of those BL fans who only need NC scenes to enjoy the series. HOWEVER! Sex is a basic and primary NEED of MOST human beings. There is not a person on this planet who decides to stick a toy up their ass just because they are curious. Also, from experience, you have to be horny to even get it up there. People like you frustrate me so much. It is perfectly acceptable that Almond would be curious AND horny. Almond was HORNY and NOT READY. Again, a perfectly normal space to be in. Almond explored some thing he thought he wanted and found that he wasn't ready for penetration at that time. It does not mean that he couldn't make out or have foreplay with Latte. And based on what the series showed from the beginning, ie Latte and Thanwa trading stories of all the people they have done, with detail, as well as Latte leading sex ed classes exploring need to know topics when a person is interested in having sex, I assumed when they got to the ML love scenes, it would be on par with that. My expectations of this show and any show are led by how they present themselves. Do not tell me that I need to go watch 4Minutes because it is more explicit. Just like I 4Minute, because they showed me explicit sex and violence, I can EXPECT to see more of it, I felt that I could expect a better NC scene than we got. And based on next weeks preview, Almond is going to be legs up, ass out, so I was right. The only young adult man who isn't horny all the time identify as ACE, please touch some grass.
I'll start by saying this was good series. But the last few episode, especially the last one, was like when you turn in your written exam but you were running out of time at the end, so you just starting putting anything on the page. 1) I'll start with Chogun. While I am happy they included someone with Autism and I know that him pushing someone for calling him dum in the middle of a game was something someone with Autism would do (i.e. act impulsively, I don't like that the way they framed it. I was hoping the whole reason that they added a character who has Autism was to highlight that he would be just as capable as his peers. They highlighted one moment where the coach figured out how to best see Chogun's talent in basketball and then never again. In that scene where the opposing team was calling him names, it would have been great if they were harassing all of the team and not just Chogun. And then it would have been even better, if instead of Chogun pushing that dude down, he would have scored, highlighting the reason he was on the team, because he was good at basketball. Then if he had gotten maybe, if it was necessary, when the coach called the time out, when Ryu showed up, he could have mentioned how mean they were. If it was necessary. I hated that they infantilized this character. When he pushed the guy, they all quickly swooped in, especially Jedi, like they were protecting and comforting a baby who got pushed down by a dog while he toddled for the first time. People with neurodivergence deserved to be treated as whole people, and it would have been nice if they had written his character and how the other characters interacted with him that way. 2) The shady board member had nothing happen to him. Where as Lin and her investigative journalism skills at? What was the purpose of showing him with the reporter digging up dirt and paying him off? WTF 3) Maybe my Western mentality is showing, and usually I try to understand cultural differences when it comes to how people in other cultures deal with parents who are overbearing. As an African American woman, I usually understand, cause alot of "respect" given toward our parents and elders is reflected in my culture as well. But what Ryu's mother did both in the past and in the present was crazy. And all because she selfishly broke up her family and blamed the dad? I mean, they had one child and lived in a mansion. How much harder could he have worked? Also, she knew who he was and what he did for work and what his dreams were before they got married, why demand he do something different later in life? But the most egregious, was the kidnapping and strong arming her son. I get that he is still underage, but seriously, she lost him the last time for literally the same thing, to the point where her son was playing street basketball with dangerous criminals and she didn't hire thugs to kidnap him then and send him overseas. Why wait til he kind of trusted you after you literally ruined it to try and ruin it again?! I will say, I literally thought dad was dead, from the way he acted and not just that he left. But I skipped the whole hugging scene after she praised Ryu, cause seriously, huh? You didn't know in all those years that he was serious about playing?! Be so for real. 4) First and Lin- I don't care. I skipped it. Same with his out of no where desire to be first string. It all just felt like a waste of time because they didn't have enough story (although they did!) for Ryu and Zen. Same with the other BL couple. Like I don't care, cause you gave us nothing all 12 episodes for that couple. Moving on. 5) Why in the world did Q come back? While it was nice to see he was okay, him disappearing after he murdered the boss made all the sense in the world. Him coming back to ask a random question and then not wait around to hear the answer was just nuts. What was the reason? 6) Ummmmmmmmmm, why did Zen come back?! Not even a tiny line from him saying the reason he came back after 3 months. Like a quick, "Hey guys, I'm back! The school board decided to bring back the team and gave me a scholarship if I came back to our school, so I came back! Yeah!" Like that was we needed to make sense of why he just randomly popped back up. Also, what about Atom?! No, small clip of Atom sitting sadly in Phuket watching clip about the team coming back with all the members, maybe with a cliched tear going down his face. No? Nothing? 7) Why on EARTH did Zen have to tell the whole team, especially Ryu, BEFORE the game about leaving?! As a basketball player as well as the Captain, did he not have any prior knowledge to how important it is to have your head in the game. Why in the world didn't he know if would upset Ryu to hear that news, especially in from of the team and in front of a whole gym full of people? He should have talked to Ryu, even before he messaged Atom. Side note, what was the ridiculous (but strangely sweet) moment they had in the middle of the court in the middle of the game?! I kept screaming, ya'll aren't even on a time out, like what is going on! Now I will say, I cracked up at the audiences reaction to Ryu hawm gaem. Other than that, I rolled my eyes so hard. 8) Finally the parts I loved! The scene where Zen says goodbye to Ryu after the game. That was some seriously good acting! Crying on command is something that not everybody can do, but I think is a must have skill as an actor, in order to make sad scenes actually sad. It takes me out of the moment, if the character is supposed to be torn up about something and there are zero tears. So that scene was so well done by both Meen and Ping, but especially by Meen. I was heartbroken for them both, as that scene had intended to be. And of course the ending! It was funny and realistic (because of course 2 teenage boys who are in love and have been separated for a long time would go at it the second they get a chance!). It was only missing Zen explaining why he came back after 3 months and it would have been perfect!
Overall, I actually enjoyed the whole series. Just the ending left a lot to be desired, so I was disappointed. But I really liked pretty much all the rest of the series, even the gangster stuff! I will miss it filling up the time in the week.
But the kisses stole the limelight π₯²Both the couples really did well, and it goes well with the story. I'm…
First, I will say that I understood what you meant, so you did really well with writing English. Thank you for your comment. However, I'm sorry, I disagree. In a real relationship, most couples are all over each other. Especially in the beginning of the relationship. Especially in the private. Even if Almond was shy, he still would have done "something". His hesitancy to have penetrative sex made sense. But stopping from doing anything else did not. They could have made out, jerked each other off, given each other blow jobs. But most horny young adult men are not going to give a mediocre kiss and snuggle (and I actually LOVED the snuggle). Also, my main complaint about this show is that they started it out showing them discussing sex in a positive, no shame manner. They haven't been shy this entire time. To your point about other series having lots of NC scenes but zero story line, it's possible to have both. This series could have done both and it would have been amazing. The story and acting has been great and I am actually disappointed in the lower scores. But honestly, part of why I love this series is the fact that from the first episode, they have explored the fact that people can have different sexual preferences and should explore what they like in terms of sex. If you are going to make a point to make a series that shows sex positivity, then when they have a NC scene, they should have made a really great one. Again, I reference Cutie Pie's NC scene. Both beautiful but realistic. Having a show with zero NC scenes or even kissing is fine, and I like those too. But this series set us up to expect more than what they delivered.
See ya'll next week! π
All in all, I really enjoyed this series. Love DaouOffroad and I hope they get to do another series, together or apart soon.
WTF
3) Maybe my Western mentality is showing, and usually I try to understand cultural differences when it comes to how people in other cultures deal with parents who are overbearing.
