I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so afraid they are going to leave this the same way they left Silhouette of Your Voice, them just being friends. Cause here we are with only 2 episodes to go and while we are getting plenty of angst, we aren't really getting romance/BL. I'm okay for a long story that takes its time, but then have 16 to 20 episodes, so we can get to see the ML together, if they are going to get together. But this is like the movie, just with more scenes of them NOT getting together, and what a waste of a remake/continuation of a story. If they leave it with them just being buddies, then they should have just left it the way the original was, cause that was good as it was. I mean, we still have a tiny bit of hope, like next episode, they hug, so maybe we get a confession...But I'm not hopeful anymore. 😭And that sucks cause the character development on this show is top tier.

Opposite of the comments, I actually enjoyed this episode. It didn't focus at all on the back story/fantasy story and we got a lot of couple time. First time together with SamYo and while I loved the scene, it was started to randomly. First Yo is like, no, innocent virgin, don't kiss me, to straddling his lap. If there had been a few moments where he just showed he was into Sam as much as Sam showed he was into Yo, that scene would have been a 10/10 for me. I am definitely over the, "We are boyfriends, but let me act like I don't like you, cause how dare you act like you want me physically, I'm a innocent lamb who has no idea what sex is!" Like I would have understood that he wasn't aware that shenanigans were going to happen. But when your boyfriend pulls you into his lap, even if you don't plan on doing shenanigans, at least kiss him a little bit. Show some affection, simply because you miss him.
Glad we finally got the girls together. There little scene was cute, now that they have soften Prim up and not made her so unpleasant. I still say, they could have given us a few soft moments with her in the beginning before we go the back story, just so her character was more fully formed. But over all, they are cute together and I no longer have to skip there scenes.
Juladis was hilarious in the this last episode. The cat walk scene's humor worked for me in this episode. I also like that we saw him soften up toward the three friends.
Finally, the paint scene. My only complaint was that the kind of show cased the place they went to and then did very unsanitary things in a very public space. Admittedly, it was hella hot. But I just kept thinking, now someone has to come in an hose the room down and throw away supplies cause ya'll got dirty in here! 😂😂 But, we thank Mos for his willingness to really sell a NC scene.
Oh wait, I have another complaint about that scene and it's something I've complained about in other scenes. The stylist for this show is sleeping on the job. Who goes to get dressed to go on a painting date and choses dress slacks and button down white shirts?! They could have achieved the same effect of the paint contrasting against white, but simply just against a tshirt or better yet, their skin. It just looked so silly to me to be dressed up to go to a splash painting facility.
But overall, the scene was amazing and the episode was good this week. Looking forward to next week and seeing how the past life hullabaloo fits into the present time and how they are going to end the series.

I have absolutely no idea what is going on and I love it. I'm actually so sad there are only 3 episodes left. The suspense is killing me!

I loved the original, it is literally in my top 3 JBLs, so while I love GemFourth, I was really nervous. And I had reason to be. This was just meh for me. Even with all the kiss scenes, and the undeniable chemistry of GemFourth, the first one made me melt with very little. I didn't get that with this show.
First, way too many ads. It took away from each scene and wasn't well integrated. Secondly, they made the first few episode randomly be a musical and then dropped that in favor of the soundtrack, like they were trying to recreate the magic of MSP. And that was WEIRD. I LOVE Gem and Fourth's singing, and I loved them singing the whole soundtrack, but the random musical moments (I don't care that one of them was during a play, when did Cinderella become a musical, also, did anyone else in the cast sing). While I did find Half and Mudmee crazy cute together, it mostly felt like they were just good friends, even on the date at the end. Like if someone didn't tell you they were dating, there really wasn't anything to indicate they were. The sniff kiss doesn't really count, cause it was kind of quick and incomplete, it barely happened. I just wanted a bit more for them.
Lastly, I was really irritated that Atom had to come out to Thap's mom and THEN to his own mom! Like the whole time Atom was falling apart worrying about Thap's mom, I kept screaming, why isn't Thap stepping in, saying something to his own mother. He just sat there and changed the subject. Or like the scene where his mom basically lollygagged telling Atom she thought he was good enough and kind of made it seem like she wasn't going to approve them together, Thap said nothing! I was so upset! But I thought, okay, here is Atom's mom's turn now, Thap will tell her, just like Atom did his mom. NOPE! Just a Atom has something to say. I was so pissed off!
I cannot say this was a bad series, it really wasn't. It check all the cliches/boxes of your typical successful BL. But for the ML's and the story line, the whole thing was just meh. Except for the sound track. That was fire!

Soooooo, I agree with most of what you said and kind of understand with the rest of what you said, even if I don't agree. I don't agree that Gemini is a bad actor, mostly because I saw him in Moonlight Chicken. He was brilliant, even though, to your point, Fourth really shined a bit more. I will say, that for this role, he literally was more animated than the Japanese version, so I personally am giving him a pass. At least on the acting of this role. Now where you were spot on is his kissing. I understood his reticence in MSP to kiss, just because it was his first role and he seemed a bit shy about kissing a boy, let alone his friend. But for his role, those kisses were as wooden as the stick you described him as! 😂😂😂😂 Especially that last kiss! Fourth did a 100% of the work to make that a passable kiss, but for a show ender, it was kind of lame since Gem just stood there. Buttttt, I will say that as bad as it was, it's better than what they did in MSP, so I saw growth. I do think you are right, he maybe needs to step away from the BLs and focus on singing (something I think he was doing anyway).
As for Fourth, I think the over exaggerated comedy of Japan absolutely doesn't translate well in Thai, especially cause I don't feel like they fully "get" how to do it well. I'm terrified about Ossan's Love, cause it was full of it, but the trailer did not look like it was going to be a good interpretation of the show, comedy wise. We shall see. Anyway, I think Fourth did the best he could with the role based on the Japanese show.
But I agree with your final statement the most! I have never in the history of watching GMMTV shows, had to skip 10 seconds ahead more than 2 times until this show. It was like because MSP was such a success, the companies threw money at them and they were obligated to try and use this JBL remake to recreate the magic of MSP, hence the random singing moments that make no sense in their placement in the series. Normally, I can sit through an ad in a series with out skipping because they usually integrate it into the show well or they do it in a cute way, like Bad Buddy. This series, I had to skip so much. And don't feel like I missed a thing!

Let me just say, the kiss in episode 5 took me by surprise. JBLs have been really stepping up their kissing game! For a long time, JBLs would either give you zero kisses or what I like to call "sipping" kisses. Barely touching lips together, looked like they were sipping each other instead of kissing. 😂😂 I never minded, cause the story was always top tier. But it nice to see them stepping up their game! Excited for JBL's future, cause one thing JBL's did great with was the story and romance.
Side note: I definitely think this particular BL deserves a better score as well as to be talked about more. It's so good!

This is just some of my favorites. Honestly you can't really go wrong with JBLs. Story wise, they are top tier.

Now while I like this show and GemFourth, this show is like MSP combined with MLMU. It's giving 2gether. A show they (GMMTV) didn't expect to get as big as it did and stars who are instantly famous. Add in that they did amazing in MLC and GMMTV knew they had to quickly find them their next project together. And I'm not going to lie, the songs are GREAT, but they are so out of place in the show. Like whole concerts in the middle of a play, cause why? And while I think its cute they included Chinzilla in the show, it's also super out of place. Cause again, why? I feel like Gem and Fourth proved in MLC they don't need to sing to make a great show. And the original doesn't have singing, so why does this?
Now the positives for this version vs the Japanese version is just simply more realistic boyfriending. Don't get me wrong, MLMU Japan was actually my favorite JBL until My Beautiful Man came along, but it still is in my top 5. But the fact that Ida and Aoki barely held hands or hugged was just too...weak to back up the love claims. And I don't need kissing or NC scenes, like I said, it was great. But it always felt like it ended before we truly got to SEE Ida feelings. So getting to see them actually be boyfriends has been great.
I am definitely curious in what direction GemFourth are going to go in. Will they go the BrightWin way (which, honestly, I'm leaning toward, although, I think GemFourth are way more talented than BrightWin), getting famous, pursuing music and then dipping, or the TayNew/OffGun way. Working together sometimes but also working on other projects.
It will be interesting to see either way.

I'm still enjoying this series, although I would have liked more of the side couples this last episode. And while I am enjoying it, I will admit, I'm not loving Salin/Banky, but I honestly am blaming the director/writer for this this. Cause based on how different Banky acted in Big Dragon to this, it's clear that Bank is following direction, but it's not really working for this role. I agree with someone else who said, Salin being all wide eyed and innocent acting is what is off putting in this show. Take the pool scene, the second one. If my megahot boyfriend started to take his shirt off in the pool, I have to know what time it is. Maybe a quick glance around to ensure we are truly alone and then I'm in the pool with him. The music isn't really helping either. I think both scenes should have been more bowchickawowwow than romantic, especially the pool table scene. These are to mature adults, this isn't really first innocent love. I just wish who ever wrote the script/directed this would have leaned more toward that. I feel bad for MosBank, cause they have all the potential of alot of other ships out there, they just need a hit script and top tier directing.
I will say, I don't need the back story. It doesn't really make any sense. It was like they got half way through filming and saw the Sign and said, "Oh shit, our story is too similar! Let's make the past Sun hate the past Salin instead of them being destined." I'm not quite sure how the back story connects to Sun and Salin or why, but hopefully they will explain it soon, since they added it. But I honestly think if they had just added more of the side couples romance and coupling up and more of the back story with the girl stealing the designs of others, it would have been a better story. But I don't think this show is a bad as everyone is making it out to be.

I love this drama! Despite all the complaints about Taishin being slow and weird, for me, that is his appeal. Not everyone is cool or suave. Tons o'people are just plain harmless, clueless and weird. And I don't even think Taishin is clueless in a bad way. I think sometimes people are isolated because they don't behave like the status quo and then folks wonder why they don't know how to socialize. Interestingly enough, college is kind of where people realize that weird is often times fun and they find their people. Before then, kids are assholes toward each other and super clicky. I don't know where a boy who is shy and into birds would find his people high school, so I imagine building up his social skills was not available to him. He is obviously so happy just to find friends, people who seem to accept him for him. He probably never dreamed that he would also get a boyfriend as well. Also, Takara has not said once that he likes him. Why would he believe that Takara genuinely likes him and want to be with him for himself outside of that quick as hell kiss?! Takara is playing it super cool and even when Taishin called him out on them not really having a ton in common, so why would Takara want to be with him, Takara still said, we'll figure that part out later. Taishin is aware enough to know that isn't how it normally goes, but he is so in love he is happy for the opportunity to build the relationship on that.
I'm in love with Taishin boba eyes and soft voice and the way Takara tries to act like he doesn't care but is soo pressed for Taishin.
Next week looks like we are going to get some good movement on their relationship. I kind of need the week to go by fast now. 😂

That was a great ending. It needed like 15 more minutes to make it complete. They kind of left Evil Daddy on read, cause we never got to see how he responded to Huai'en being like, Nope, my partner says I cannot talk to you. 😂 I figured we would get something since they went to the trouble of showing him in jail and that whole convo. I also need to see their wedding. I want to know what Mama and Daddy think of their relationship. Because in the beginning, they were 100% against it. Next thing you know, they are like, yup, go ahead and take our daughter and live with your boyfriend. No worries! I think a special episode would be great to get to see everyone reacting to the wedding. Overall, I really liked this series. I hope now that they have figured out the work around censorship other Chinese BL's will find a way to get released.

Rewatched it again on Gagaoolala and I still love it. It was everything you would want in a BL.Great production/script/ direction. Real life character development, angst and oh the romance! It was dreamily built up over the course of the movie and even until the last second, you are riddled with will they or won't they. I loved that really expressed how a teenager experiencing love for the first time would react. I'll have to rewatch the sequel tomorrow, just to refresh my memory, but I'm pretty sure I loved that as well. The rating should definitely be higher. I hope, no that is available for interfans, this will get the love that it deserves.

Yeah, I don't understand the slow comments either. Something important happens in each episode. It's just a low key story. All the big emotions are displayed gently and quietly and I appreciate this way of storytelling in a world where it's all so big and loud and bold and scary and alot of times mean, even in romances. I appreciate those as well, don't get me wrong. But there is something about this show that has my heart.

I really liked this series, the ending episode had lots of really powerful scenes. My only complaints were that the ending seemed to have ended awkwardly, if you know what I mean. Like Rak buying a house was cute and all, but then that was it. Like a hug and credits. Huh!? And then the little bit after the credits, was that the house? Why did Mut look so confused? And maybe the subtitle writer made an error, but the last line that was voice read, made zero sense to me. But I felt like I needed more...something. I'm not going to lie, I care zero about the GL story line. I didn't like the way they set it up the characters personalities and their storyline, so I'm cool never revisiting them.
Other than that, I thought both Fort and Peat did a great job acting in this final episode. Mut bursting into tears in front of Meena was sooooo sad! I will say that I either need MeMindY to workshop with Peat and teach him how to cry in this crazy emotional scenes, or stop giving him roles he has to cry in. Cause when he was chasing the garbage truck and collapsed in the street was impactful til they did the close up. And even then, I was like, Ok Peat this looks great, good job, now squeeze out a tear or two and we are in business. I mean, the scene still worked, but again, I need Peat to learn how to cry with real tears if he is going to be doing these kinds of scenes in the future.
Lastly, the thing that bothered me the most...did the stylist/ costume designer run out of budget for Rak's pajamas?! When they first showed up, I was like, okay a MAME special, she loves to put the "bottom" in an oversized long white (or black in Don't Say No's case) shirt to signal seduction. But every time after that the first time, if Rak wasn't going out of the house, he was in those pajamas. Like could maybe have just gotten the shirt in all the colors or something?
Anyway, I'll miss the show, I really thought it was good. I'm looking forward to the special episode, unless its like Wedding Plans, then never mind, cause that was a waste of money and time!
But if its in line with TharnTypes and DSN or LITA, then we are in for a fun time!😂😂😂😂

Gah, I love this show! I realized that this show is doing the opposite of what alot of Japanese shows do, where they have over exaggerated expressions and comments. I find those hilarious and like a reflection of what alot of people's internal dialogue must look like. But here, in this show, we are shown sly looks from Takara and quietly delivered lined where is kind of transparent about his feelings, but it's hard to notice because of his delivery. And Taishin thinks and speaks soo slowly, like he trying to process everything, a trait I can appreciate because he is just being careful and thoughtful with his thoughts and emotions. Especially cause these all seem to be new emotions and thoughts for him. The scene where Taishin confesses/figures out his feelings and Takara trying so hard not to show how much he wants to hear Taishin say, "let's date" was gold! Takara gently leading Taishin to ask HIM out but acting like he was doing Taishin a favor was hilarious. He kissed Taishin so fast, he didn't have time to figure out it happened til after the fact. Such a cute and heart warming scene!
I'm loving the quietness and slow nature of this show. It's why I'm glad there are 11 episodes, cause as slow as the show is, they just start getting somewhere in the story and the episode is over. I cannot wait to see what happens next week now that they are dating. I just hope Takara finds away to convince Taishin that just wanting to be together is all one needs to begin a relationship.

😂😂 Listen, my dream job is to get all BL scripts and clean them up to make them successful! Like, the ideas are often great and have so much potential and then.... ick! I think you maybe be right about Star Hunter's writer. Cause all their shows have soo much to love and then it all falls apart.

Episode 9 was all over the place for me. Dad's ridiculous behavior toward Sun would make better sense, if they had written that opening scene better. Lin should have been devastated. The episode should have not started out like a 90s sitcom. Lin should have been a dark room crying, refusing to get up because his heart was broken. Then sister comes in the room and some how convinces him to come down. He should not have been in, once again, 90s sitcom fancy pajamas, but in a hoodie to hide his blotchy cry face from his family. Breakfast should have been family worried for Lin. That way, the Dad's dislike of Sun, this strong, would have made sense. The way they have it, the father would have known from the mom, that Lin actually left with out actually knowing anything about the situation and had never stopped to ask Sun. Then Dad, if he was rational, would figure out that Lin and Sun's problem was complicated at best and he just needed to support his kid, instead of all that juvenile behavior we got. I get it was supposed to be funny, but it wasn't really and would have been better if it was as serious as Lin's feelings were supposed to be. Then when Sun came and explained, he should have clearly apologized for the confusion of not getting Lin's permission to play boyfriend for a night with a friend. It's just common sense to ask or at least inform.

Also, while I am extremely glad we finally get Sam and Yo, that kiss was trash. What was that editing? Like make them reshoot that mess if it didn't turn out right. Also, I really wish all BL's would stop with the grown people being too shy to kiss and running away trope. Like, I get not wanting your mom or people passing by to see, but getting to kiss your brand new boyfriend would trump all the reservations anyone would have in that situation. I'm all for people being shy, especially in your first relationship, but like blush after and then look into each others eyes all happy. The best to ever do, "shy virgin, but I still want it" is Fluke/Pharm in UWMA.

I liked that we finally got the girls story. It felt a tad too long for a secondary side couple, but I liked it and it explained my biggest complaint about Prim being absolutely not crush worthy because she was soo mean. It would have been nice to get a few less scenes of the girls and a few more of Sam and Yo, but I'm glad we finally got some side couple development.

Lastly, the board meeting irritated me. I get that they sprang it suddenly on Sun, but it couldn't have been too sudden to at least check in through Zoom. He has to know that his position is precarious, so even with needing to clear things with Lin, he should have simultaneously been handling business. I kept hoping he would walk in and that was the cliff hanger they would leave the episode on, but no luck.

I think what is frustrating me about this show, even though I do like it, is that the budget seems big enough do better than cliched BL/GL misunderstandings and shenanigans. Star Hunter could have really made a stand out show, if they had only made sure the script was tight and made sense, flushed out the characters, and had hell of a workshop, especially on the romantic scenes. Cause the two side couples first kisses were trash. And Bank keeps leaving his eyes open for zero reasons.
My grievances aren't necessarily with this show specifically, all though alot of the problems I have with all of the stories coming out lately are present in this show. It's the lastest BL's in general, at least the ones from Thailand. I'm going to go relook at my list of BL's from Thailand this year, but the last ones that wowed me were the Sign, PitBabe and Last Twilight. But I cannot remember a Thai BL that was as well written, directed, produced and acted as UWMA, ITSAY, ATOTS. I didn't necessarily expect that from this show, but it could have at least been The Sign good, and so I'm disappointed that with Star Hunters resources and experience that they didn't do better.

There were some hits and some misses for me for the finale.
Hits: Latte and Almond's first time. I loved how freaking accurate that was. And funny! First times rarely go smoothly for anything you do, why in the world would sex? My favorite part was just when you think they had given up and were just going to go to sleep (honestly, valid response to the tomfoolery they were going through 😂😂😂😂), but at the last second they just went for it, cause love!
Another hit for me was the wedding. It is honestly sooo true that you cannot cancel a wedding just a week away. Well you can, but you will be out all the money. I loved that they took the opportunity to have a large party for all the family and friends, thank everyone for supporting them and introduce their loves. And for Dad to apologize for his part in the reason everyone was attending a non wedding. Plus Jane looked amazing!
Another hit for me was all the sex education happening in that episode. Of course Latte would be nervous to have sex for the first time and seeking knowledge from people he trusted was brilliant. I loved the giggle he made will watching porn with Peak. I'm not a huge advocate for learning about sex through porn, but will admit that watching it would help one get the basics, especially if Peak showed him realistic ones. I also love Thanwa's conversation about consent and reassuring Almond that if at any time he wanted to stop, that was okay. And then Latte reaffirming that was chef's kiss!
Now, the misses for me. Despite all that content, it definitely felt like a filler episode. I didn't care about the girl's book reading, even though it was a vehicle to introduce the new drama, Monster Next Door. In that segment, they did nothing to introduce us to those characters, so it didn't make sense. They didn't even run into each like I thought they would to make it matter that they were both there at the same time. It was a waste of screen time. The study scene as well. What was that? While yes, it provided a cute moment with all the characters, at this point it would have been nice to have more moments with just the two main couples. Same for when Peak took Thanwa to lunch/dinner. It was cute, but again, it felt like a filler moment. I would have preferred maybe a compilation of them dating and being a happy together. Spending lots of intimate time together, cause at that point, it would have been the first time Peak allowed himself to do that, so he would want to do it all the time. And by intimate, I don't just mean sex, although it is included. I mean laying in the bed talking or being silly with each other as a way to better cement his relationship with Thanwa.
My last miss for was the ending. While I love that they took it back to playing spin the bottle, the misses a great opportunity to be the show they started as. They should have had them ask most of the same questions again, like have you had sex with a man and now both Peak and Almond would have changed their answers and we would have gotten flashes to them having a good time in the sack. And maybe, have you had sex outside and they flash to Almond and Latte actually doing it at the book reading, even though he initially said no when Latte asked. Stuff like that would have been hilarious and it would have shown how they have grown.
Overall, I did like this show. I definitely think not enough people are talking about and it it deserves a higher rating. But I also kind of felt the end wasn't as good as the beginning, and that was a bit of a let down.

All the twists and turns are the best. I don't have a clue what is going on in any of the plot lines, but I am here for them all. The best part of BOC is their top tier production quality. The shots are immaculate, There are so many tiny details that just show this company will put on a hell of a show. I would also like to thank everyone involved for the Bible on the rooftop in white underwear. I did not know I needed to see that in life, but it was absolute necessary. 😂😂 As for Dr. Tyme, I cannot figure him out. He seems to really be smitten with Great, but he is working on something sneaky behind the scenes that seem outside of his scope of doctor. But he seemed surprised that Great was there at with Korn. And he revealed himself when he didn't really have to...so I just don't know. 😂😂 Loved the date and car scene. Sweet with side of tension.
Tongkla and and the cop were interesting. Good NC scene, except I need the writers to come up with more than "Can you fuck me raw?" Unless they are going to reveal some weird plot line that I cannot imagine at this point that has Tongkla always asking for it raw. Even so, we can advertise Durex without the same line every time, can't we?! It would have been okay, if the cop just reached for condom and lube and we could see the label. Job done. Anyway, I am worried about that relationship. Tongkla has a lot going on mentally, and even without that scene at the beginning of ep. 2, I'm scared of what Tongkla is going to do, honestly just in general. Right now, I'm just trying to see him as a person who is extremely lonely, morning his brothers death and seemingly being abandoned by his boyfriend. He's allowed to be a little off and self destructive.
Every plot line has me on the edge of my seat and I kind of wished I had waited to watch it and binge it. But oh well. See ya'll next week! 😂
