I agree ZYL has said multiple times to MY that he will divorce after the investigation. We can only interpret that to mean they are looking for a reason so that they are justified and not lose face. I think MY played herself thought by accepting to be a concubine and marrying him before he’s divorced. Even after the divorce she will still legally only be a concubine without the same rights and dowry as a wife. Thats why they emphasized all the customs/traditions for concubines that must be followed. I wouldn’t want a man that would deny me standing in society just so he can save face temporarily. Divorce is endgame so why drag it out just to be vengeful.
I’m so tired of Lian Hua Er, she’s the root of all the setbacks for Man’er. If I were put in this game I would’ve let her be killed by that widow burning. I mean she’s not a real person and actually harmful towards game progress. The mom wouldn’t have been tripped and miscarried. Yes! I’m ready for their storyline, ZXW wanted to run to HQ as soon as he heard she was hurt. I don’t care for ZYL at all as a husband, he has feelings for someone else and yet won’t divorce HQ. Worst yet ZYL authorized Mu Yao to continue investigating HQ and her family, even allowing her to command his servants while taking away HQ’s.
