They just finished filming the drama in March of this year. Typically, it goes through post-production and licensing which usually takes about a year after filming wraps. Even if the process is fast, it would still take more than half a year. The chances of this drama being broadcast within this year are quite low but it's still possible if Tencent decides to air it toward the end of the year.

I haven’t watched Pearl Eclipse yet but from what I understand, in Pearl Eclipse..Princess Tilan and Emperor Zhong are lovers and General Tang is just a supporting character while in Chasing Dreams, General Tang is the main lead and it’s pretty obvious that he and Princess Tilan are in love, you can clearly see it in their eyes and actions in the reuter photos, lol. Also, Prince Zhong (not the Emperor in Chasing Dreams?) appears to want Tilan for himself because she reminds him of his late consort. So he might interfere in their relationship using his power as a prince. That’s just my theory, lol! Anyone can correct me too.

I’m really looking forward to watching this drama after seeing the trailer. The male-centric storyline combined with a sense of humor really suits my taste. I’m confident that Cheng Yi will deliver an excellent performance as he always does.
Sometimes, I get tired of fan wars. Why not just enjoy the drama in peace? If a drama is good, audiences will watch it regardless…there’s no need to launch smear campaigns to bring others down.
Honestly, I like both actors and I’m not a die-hard fan. I just want to enjoy watching the dramas I choose.
Regarding the Eleanor incident, I believe it's too extreme to blame Cheng Yi or the production team for something she allegedly said in private (which was exposed by a former team member). I'm not defending her actions if she truly said those things, but is it really the production team's fault? No, right? So why waste time, resources, and money editing her out of the drama? She has already apologized publicly, and due to this incident, she may no longer be cast in Chinese dramas. She will face the consequences of her actions in due time. However, pointing fingers at the entire drama because of this is simply unreasonable.

She didn’t mention anything about Taiwan. The controversy surrounding her stems from a recorded voice clip in which she called Chinese people 'fools.' This was an insult directed at the Chinese while she was working in China, and it was something she should not have said.

To be precise, her father is Singaporean and her mother was from Taiwan who has Singaporean nationality now.

As far as I know, Eleanor somehow made a comment that insulted China, as she's from Singapore, not China. However, I'm not sure about the full context of what she said. I think the main issue might be the rumor that this drama will compete with another male-centric big IP drama, so the competition between the two is quite fierce. Regardless, don't worry, Chinese audiences typically like watching Cheng Yi's dramas, so the controversy surrounding the second female lead shouldn't have a big impact.

This drama hasn't received its license yet, and I'm not sure if the post-production process is complete. Hopefully, it will be licensed in time to be broadcast this summer, around July or August.

From the drama wrap-up video, I think it will have the strong romance drama between princess Ti Lan, General Tang and Prince Zhong.

He played the villain in the drama “The Golden Hairpin“ but because of ML’s scandal, so they had to re-shoot the drama with the new ML and the Drama has been postponed for airing in several years.
