The drama has only been airing for two days yet there are already so many complaints especially about how people in the story could mistake He Yan for a man. But come on if you know Zhou Ye is playing the role, you'd know she has a feminine face and a slim build so why all the fuss? In the drama, He Yan wears a facial mark and dresses as a man, which helps her pass as a young man with a smaller build. And there are plenty of real-life men with delicate features and slim builds too. However, it would’ve made more sense if they had cast He Ru Fei (the brother) with a similar physique to He Yan, it would’ve made the identity switch more convincing. But Bai Shu, who plays He Ru Fei is doing a pretty solid job. He has a soft face which could make him looks like He Yan under the mask and his acting is on point, I’ve hated him since the very beginning just from his expressions alone lol. The opening battlefield scene was epic, Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei look great together on screen too.
Probably around episode 10 - 15. If not go for the long run but not possible.
It would be great if they have a balance between romance and action then the drama would turn out really well. Viewers love seeing a strong female lead and male lead working together while also sharing romantic moments.

At the very least, the male lead should find out early before they start having romantic moments together, right? Otherwise, it would end up like a BL drama if he falls for her before realizing she’s not actually a man lol. I haven’t read the novel yet but Zhou Ye’s pictures from the drama really caught my eye. She looks great in costume like a charming young man.

May I ask what you mean by it being banned in China? Are you referring to the plot involving death and reincarnation? I thought that kind of plot was commonly used in Chinese novels.
This drama definitely postponed. Eleanor Lee is toast. She probably pack her bag and preparing deportation .

Otherwise, they might use this incident to attack the drama, leading to negative trending topics every day, which could damage its reputation while it's airing. This drama should be a big hit this year. The production team better do something to resolve this before airing to maintain its positive reputation. All these drama outside the drama is giving me a headache, can I just watch the show in peace?
It seems Tencent will air Prisoner of Beauty first, as it was officially announced today and appears to be in a hurry. So, the chances of seeing The Journey of Legend this month are quite low.
The other fandom doesn't care about the production team's efforts. They just want to bring down the competition…
Even us the international drama fans also know about the intention, passer-by Chinese drama fans would understand too, iqiyi and tencent should continue airing the drama as per schedule. There are over 7 mil reservation, 29 joint brands, 1 mil cloud booking if I‘m not wrong, many people waiting for this drama. I don’t think anything will bring CY down.
