I'm usually used to plot twists and like last minute "they were a step ahead" twists, and therefore I can usually see them coming from a mile away, but wow the drama really shocked me this time around. Especially towards the end, so for those who need it trust the process and keep watching the drama. Also I don't know why, maybe its the way the plot was set out, but the FL really felt like someone cunning and smart rather than a more typical impression of her plan only worked out so well cause she's the FL. I don't know how else to explain that, but if you get it, you get it. Also to the person who said the ML walked really lame, I AGREE! Also, I feel like they styled him bad, idk maybe its just me.
Episode 33 really felt like the final episode but then they realised they haven't fill out the required episodes…
I agree, it also felt like they kept pushing for angst in the last couple of episodes, but it really didn't flow well with the plot and felt really forced
last villain was very unnecessary tbh but other than that it was great glad it went to a happy ending. sucker…
I agree, it also made me quite confused about Chu Zhao's character, I can't make up my mind about whether he regrets his actions to split up He Yan and Xiao Jue or whether he is still stuck in the past and trying to justify his actions.
On episode 33, why is everything going kinda well? By kinda well, I mean too well, almost perfect, why is everything working out? Like there's still literally 3 whole episodes left, and I highly doubt that they're all gonna be filled with how everyone is now happy and living fulfilling lives. I'm scared now, what last minute plot twist have they planned?
Been 3 years since I watched this drama (I watched it while it was still airing) and I haven't dared to watch it again cause I'm so scared of having my heart ripped into pieces. But I'm glad to see a lot of other people are enjoying the drama and everyone's acting in the comment section. Meng Ziyi was so good here, I hated and pitied her so much at the same time. And I remember Yang Zi got so much hate while this was airing because of toxic fans who complained she was too old to act and didn't look good enough to play a youthful and innocent role and also because Love Like the Galaxy was airing at the same time so some toxic Zhao Lusi fans used come and leave some really horrible comments. But I'm so glad to see that people are appreciating and giving love to this drama and the actors, cause it truly is a masterpiece. I still listen to the OST of this drama from time to time, it's so good!
Ahh I hate it when I'm in a slump usually I just rewatch some of my favourites. But I defo recommend Royal Rumours and Blossom they're amazing, plus both are starring Meng Ziyi who's an amazing actress, gorgeous and skilled. Oh if you don't like the gaming scenes I suggest just skipping them its mostly just FL winning against people who bullied her but there are some cute scenes between ML and FL in game as well. Other than that the rest of the story is amazing.
Yess I know it starts off sooo good and then at uni it just becomes unbearable to watch I mostly just fast forwarded through those few eps like I get what ML was trying to do but he could have done it differently like no need to break her heart to force her to do what she wants to do. Lol that's what I'm doing I just took a pause from the drama and I plan on coming back to it later.
Haha thank you, its no problem! I have loads more so come to me i you ever need some recommendations, though I'm in a bit of slump right now as nothing is hooking me. But I'm almost grateful because I have exams coming up, so I'm rewatching my faves so that I'm not too hooked in and neglect my studying. Yess, its so frustrating when the men refuse to communicate properly. I can't lie I think that happened in Our Secret but I didn't find it as frustrating as most dramas plus it wasn't really the male lead interacting with other women that was the problem but him trying to care for her in his own way and being misunderstood so maybe that's why. As for Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and Boss and Me I completely agree it took me a lot of dropping and picking to really get into the plot but they weren't too bad once you get into it. And Leo Wu generally play characters with a lot of depth so maybe that's why he came across as serious. For period dramas try Blossom with Meng Ziyi and Li Yun Rui, they get together ep 13/14 ish and they have a really sweet and wholesome relationship. Oh and also forgot another one Royal Rumours also starring Meng Ziyi and they don't get together early in the drama but you can feel the tension to the point it feels like they're together already and bonus it's hilarious. Lol Love Like the Galaxy was such a vibe, I loved it but I can't lie there was a bit of angst towards the end and looking at your preferences again I guess it's not really for you. I highly recommend Love 020π though its just one of those few dramas you wish you could forget about and rewatch just to experience the whole thing. The ML was a whole green forest. Let me know your opinion on each of them! π
1. Can't remember the exact episode but they gradually fall for each other β€οΈ If you like tsundere type of…
Lol I agree with the last bit. Always loved those two so this was literally a feast for the eyes. Plus Zhu Xu Dan and Yang Shi Ze are both gorgeous as well so my eyes were blessed.
Is it just me or did it feel like A LOT OF STUFF got cut out? Especially the ending seemed rushed and there were…
I AGREE! I was waiting for someone to say this. They cut out so many parts, especially my favorite one where they were trapped in the dream at the temple where Miaomiao's character really shone with her decisiveness and bravery. I felt it was also an important scene for Ziqi and Miaomiao because we really saw just how much their relationship changed from the start. Like he was scared for her and angry at the princess. It was a turning point so it was kinda frustrating. And omg the ending was so rushed, plus I really wanted to see if Mu Yao and Liu Fuyi met in the real world as well.
They released a special ending/special episode at the end of season 1 where it shows everyone sitting around a…
Glad to hear that you've found it! Yess, can't wait for Season 2, hope it comes out by the time my exams are finished so I can binge it in one go. Hope you have a great day too π
One of my favorite dramas of all time: Falling Into Your Smile, love the leads and the all the characters. A River Runs Through It is also really good. I haven't seen it but my sister has and she loves it. Love O2O is a bit of an older drama but it hits all the right spots, plus the ML and FL interactions were so cute and romantic. ML was head over heels for FL and you could tell. And both characters were literally perfect. Loved the ending, it mad me giggle so much. Our Secret as well, I haven't completed it but I've watched about 3/4 of it and so far its really nice. Destined, a historical drama but the progression of the relationship between the leads was sooo good and wholesome. And you still have some drama and fights and political turmoil in between. There are a couple sad bits but overall loved it. The ending was so wholesome as well. Love Like the Galaxy was actually addicting, I don't really know if this one is completely fluffy we get some very light angst barely noticeable through and leads are not only good actors but amazing in terms of visuals, not to mention this drama was hilarious at points. Royal Rumours, loved this. Give it a chance, you'll fall in love. The tension and character development was spectacular and it was soo funny as well which was a bonus. Love Between Fairy and Devil is a xianxia and one of the best out there damn it was really wholesome love how they slowly developed feeling for each other without even realizing. Boss and Me - I haven't finished it but I got pretty far and its a really nice and fun drama. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love is also one I haven't finished but I haven't heard a single bad thing about it ever and bonus it has Leo Wu Blossom also came out recently and I watched it while it was coming out and dan it was so good. I've always loved Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui but they outdid themselves in this. The Romance of Tiger and Rose was like my 3rd or 4th c drama and made me realize I was bound to c dramas for life. Honestly now that I think about it almost every single one of Zhao Lusi's dramas is a rom com, so all her c dramas are worth giving a shot. I have more so let me now if you need more recommendations but for now I'll leave you this list. Sorry for any errors I was too lazy to reread it.
