They have gained an impressive number of new followers since episode one . As they post once a week, it 's just like in the old days, when you had to wait an eternity bewtween each episode . Basically, a lift is both a cage (and if you take it to extremes, a coffin-shaped one ) , and a means of transportation. When a panic attacks happens in a lift, we may suppose it implies there will be some incident later on when the cables break and the cabin brutally falls down , crushing its passengers . But it could be a symbol for entrapment, like Dome , his classmate who is trapped in the car boot., or confinement like the lighthouse suggests, or even suffocation . One possible meaning is Great will be trapped in some dangerous situation he will have to struggle to escape, or will fall into serious danger (once inside the lift you have no control on it if there's an electronic failure) . Or it could be a symbol for connection and transit between parallel universes ( or dreams/ reality ) or travel into time dimensions (like the phone cabin in Dr Who ). Whatever it is, some people have a severe phobia with lifts, so it fits an angsty mood well .
