I am still willing to give the director and writer a chance. They might even get better with their next project from their experience doing this drama. LOL LOL

@chinededramafan I think the director told him to act this way. I have seen some of the BTS of them filming some scenes of the drama. I have seen the director is very hands on. This is probably what she envisioned to happen in these scenes.

So very true @Lullina03, I was disgusted at them making NQ be abusive to SS. I prefer the novel NQ than the drama. IMHO he has changed a bit and i have accepted the drama had to be changed somehow and is tolerable..... I am still enjoying the drama so far. I agree it was supposed to be for comedy effect but not all viewers found it funny...

Same here, this triology was pathetic @Kim MC @Lilly1008 but it had to be done because they were already comfortable with each other. They would have never moved forward. The writer did take it to far, remember it was Eldest Brother who asked NQ to take good care of MSS. He is giving advice that is just not right for his younger brother. I blame Eldest brother and NQ for being so dumb..... :( :(

I agree with you @Lullina03 I really hated that scene when he scared her. In the novel SS was much stronger and better at putting him in his place. They also made SS act like a brat but wanted to show her struggling to not go back to NQ just because she misses him. She left because she can see how much NQ did like MSS. NQ like MSS because she understands his Calligraphy but put him in an awkard situation.
When they made NQ ask SS of her opinion on MSS, NQ was so sad that SS said she thought she was good. He was so sad, he wanted her to say something. He couldn't even bring it up himself. It was like she was giving him approval to date MSS. NQ and SS are so stupid when it comes to love but everything else they can can talk about with no problems....
I think the writer made NQ look weak but their intentions were to explain why FuZi would punish NQ. It is only so NQ can better control his joining the devil.
@PamelaHannaEikleberry He isn’t possessed but he joined the devil. For some reason they chose to show him joining the Devil that way. Very weird but I can accept it .

I have to NQ is really funny. He wanted to have fun with the girls but the Red Sleeves owner had that shut down the moment she met him. So the only route he goes is by finding his mate. She did a great job in that department. What do you think??

Actually I don’t think they said any of their ages at the beginning. He told The lady of the Brothel he was 18 , that was before he reached the nowhere State. After he reached it CHen PiPi said that he is the first person to reach that state at 20 years old . Making him a genius. When I reach home , I will try to find the times they mentioned the ages so we can all understand. CMIIW.

Since I started reading the novel . NQ was 15-16 and SS was 11-12. The Academy arc took 2 years in the making. So like you said NQ was 18-19 ,SS 13-14. in the drama from the beginning NQ was 18-19 so in Episode 28 NQ is 20 years old. So I statred to believe they changed the ages because some viewers would have a major problem with NS. Even now some people are having issues with out OTP.
I my self have no issue because , SS was raised by NQ but she never called him Brother but by his real name. So to me it was more of a companionship kinda life they lived. Does that make sense.

I have to say in the drama, they are confusing me with the age of our OTP for real. I am like What????? lol lol They were aging him really fast.

Welcome to the Ever Night viewing difficulties. For me it is because , my lack of interest in a character that I find boring . But the Fighting skills are the lone I love a lot . LOL LOL

totally agree with you, Since started reading and watching this drama. Ning Que is a very rational person. He also don't like the prejudice the Xiling has towards the Demon Sect. I think if you read the novel you will now where Ning Que stands.

You are correct they both can be allies in destroying their enemy General Xie Hou. But I believe LQ is to far gone in his ambition to dominate the world. His dream is to rule the whole world that is why he isn’t going to kill his brother for the Yan State. After watching ep 37-38, LQ’s pride is shattered right now. He isn’t satisfied with what he has now. His entire life, he has been told he is the Son of Light. He has always been number 1. Since LQ doesn’t know the meaning of being humble , he can never understand that HE IS GOOD BUT THERE CAN ALWAYS BE SOMEONE BETTER. The Woman who loves him hasn’t realized that he doesn’t love her. He cares but not love. She has already offered to wait for him but he wants nothing to do with her. She tells him she loves him and that he has accomplished a lot. She wonders why what he has isn’t enough. I think she know he can’t succeed at all and wants him to succeed. She has watched him suffer to be the best but is never satisfied. I want to say more but I will wait until you have seen ep 37-38. So that you can seee where I am going with this.

I agree with you , he was bullied but he put himself in that predicament. They did start to pick on him very true. I don't think NQ would have done the trick if LQ didn't request to have Sang Sang. NQ 's protectiveness or should I say selfishness roses up like cloud of smoke and made him lose all reasoning. NQ is not looking to be in the spot light but just trying to survive. I agree this trick would fool people in the RL. I think it happened because of how quickly he answered the question. It 's like he went in trance and just answered it without thought. You have the right to dislike this scene. I think NQ did it because he was also jealous of the fact Sang Sang thought he was cute. He did it spitefully, which is wrong but for some reawon, I can’t hate Ning Que, I love this guy to pieces and I see why he acts that. Why he is so selfish sometimes in not wanting to share SS. What do you think?

I didn't dislike it at all. He was so arrogant, he should have toned it down a bit. His own brother was very careful on how he talk to him. I don't havt LQ but pity him because they brainwashed him and with his father's bad influence on him
