For me the most endearing thing about this drama is the community around two main pairs. The daily struggle, laughter and interaction of the Ajumma, Ajussi and co workers and Yeon Du make this all so more wholesome. 🥰🥰
I'm truly enjoying the drama, but I'm disheartened by some comments I've seen. I used to be an otaku, but I found that the anime community often objectifies and dehumanizes female characters especially in shounen Anime. I'm still an anime fan, but more selective about what I choose to watch. I enjoy watching K-dramas because it does have some tropes that can be problematic stereotypes but not as much as anime instead it portrays a male character with respect, depth, and agency. MDL was a safe haven for me. But dunno anymore.
Up until the 12th episode it was such a wonderful Drama. But after that it went downhill. Request to the writers If you are going to make a drama with the perfect goody two shoe protagonists and poorly written antagonist don't stretch it up to 16 episodes. 😞😞😞
Heartwarming from start to finish. 🥰🥰🥰 Kdrama Endings tend to be really messy and haphazardous But this One has managed to keep most of the story neat and refreshing. Can't recommend this enough to someone who is tired of watching revenge and sugary romance show with same formulas.
Everytime Gwi Joo went back to past to check whether his prejudice and doubt over Da Hee was correct or not my heart felt so warm. Never seen such an unique and mesmerizing chemistry before.
What a delightful watch !! On the surface it might seem like a modern day Japanese Marry Poppins but it was not. The…
Couldn't agree more. Both the writer and director are male yet they bring forth such perspective with delicacy and sensibility to this Series. I'm amazed to say the least.
I started watching this from the very first episode because I'm a huge of Lee Min Ki and Exo. But stayed for the comedy and story. It really was a delight waiting every Sunday and Monday to watch this drama. For someone who want to start watching this drama a warning for you. 'DO NOT WATCH THIS DRAMA WHILE EATING'.😸
What baffled me most was that the women in this drama has no purpose they only solely exist to tend to needs of their man. They were pretty much one dimensional.
Sexism in this drama was unforgivable. Couldn't enjoy the romance at all because of how passive the fl was. After the dating violence fl didn’t take any action about it. Seeing that scar ml beat up the shitty boyfriend and got arrested. In the jail he was regretting choosing a woman over his career. So, when fl decided to get married to the shitty bf in exchange of withdrawing the charge against ml. He was relieved. He didn’t care about the fl at all whether she'd be safe with someone who hit her like that. If he was that passionate of a player he shouldn’t have hit that bf and reported him to the police. But that's unlike him, because he is a man with pride, how could someone hit the woman he cherish!! Yet putting your beloved woman in more danger was ok?? Sexist comments here and there was alright but normalizing violence was not.
I've watched so many Rom-com in the last 6 years I thought I was getting tired even though I still love this genre . These days I just looked at the screen with a stone face even as the couples are confessing, arguing or having a full make-out session. It doesn't feel convincing how they came to like each other. I'm not sure why but maybe most couple in drama land don't properly talk thoroughly about their differences and achieve growth simultaneously as the relationship progress. That's why 'Bo Ra! Deborah' is going to stay in my heart for a long time. The way their relationship progressed and how they communicated was so clear and tangible . When Su-hyoek looked into Bo-ra 's eyes as a viewer I would think, "Ah! such a lovable person she is!" Same goes when Bo-ra do that to Su-hyeok. Even if it seems pretty normal I can vow that achieving that wasn't easy. It definitely wasn't flawless ride but I sure as hell enjoyed it to bits. 💖💖💖
All relationships in this drama are imperfect and that's what makes it so relatable and perfect.*A woman who thought…
I was thinking the same thing. It's impressing to see how flawed and wretched a genuinely good person can be. None of the supporting character felt robotic whose job is to facilitate the main plot. They also have genuine issues that's potrayed in a realistic way.
What an amazing ride it was!! At first I was hesitant about picking it up cause so many old romcom had left me feeling unsatisfied. Gender roles, societal misconceptions, old ideology etc. just ruined the full enjoyment every time. But "Last Vacation" which was written by Kitagawa Eriko sensei whom I immensely love and respect did wonder. She is a master of her craft indeed. Acting, Direction, Music, Philosophy it lacked nothing. This drama is a timeless classic which is going to stay relevant forever. 💚💚
