I haven't had such a fun time watching a drama for a long time. This was such well crafted show that was engaging from start to finish. Never once it break the immersion for me. The stake was high, thriller was tight yet the fools kept on fooling around. The relationship between the character was well established and emotionally honest. Overall it was very engaging show with quality writing, production and acting of course. The beach scene was so hilarious i literally choked on water.

Guys lets not jump the gun. Unrequited love is cute and bittersweet. We all have experienced something like that as young adult, crushing on an adult because of how dependable and mature they seem. Seeing it represented in drama is okay without jumping to conclusion about possible age gap romance. Also the overall vibe of the drama is lighthearted so it won't ever turn into full fledged angst about forbidden love.

I just finished episode 4 and i like it so far. I really love most of the supporting cast. Especially all of team 3 interacting with each other and their dynamic is so delightfully crafted. I swear I won't forgive writer nim if they decided to focus more on the main lead's romance and villain arc then eventually dropping all the adorable supporting cast.

One thing I've noticed about Kim Hyang Gi, after watching so many of her dramas and movies, is that she has great chemistry with everyone she acts with, even in non-romantic dynamics. She is a master of subtle expression. Her acting carries so much weight in moments of silence. The way she carefully glances to read how the other person is feeling is so captivating to watch. These scenes can be really tricky — some actors overact or underact when dialogue falls away, but Hyang Gi leans into the silence and lets it build meaning and tension, leaving the audience eager to see what happens next.

Me too, why couldn’t they just release 4 ep in a week? It’s only 30 mins per ep!!😭
ikr. it feels like i am watching just one episode in a week. Where most kdrama would release 2 hours worth of episode in a week.

Didn't watch Jeon Woochi. Are you on a Kang Dong Won marathon? I liked him in Vanishishing Time the most. The movie was so refreshing and atmospheric. The role suited him so much innocent yet mysterious and tragic.

Title Escape
I had a genuinely great time watching this drama. The two main characters are beautifully written and acted their individual quirks, chemistry, and overall character arcs are engaging from the start. As a romance fan I went in a bit skeptical because of the "slight romance" tag, fully expecting crumbs at best. Turns out, I was very wrong.

What makes it work is that the show prioritizes their 'bond' before 'romance', and that choice makes everything feel richer. Their crisis moments, bickering, serious conversations, and even the tomfoolery flow so naturally that it’s magnetic to watch. Nothing feels forced. Unlike generic romances that rely on lazy drama breakups, exes, love triangles, endless misunderstandings 'Escape' avoids all that noise. It trusts the connection, and that trust pays off.

That said, not everything landed for me. Some supporting characters felt oddly insignificant considering the massive amount of screen time they were given, which messed with the pacing. A few soundtrack choices also leaned a bit too soap-opera-ish for my taste and occasionally pulled me out of the mood.

Still, the core relationship carries the show hard, and for me, that’s what matters most.

So grounding and refreshing in a mature and fun way. I absoulutely love found family trope when it's done as tastefully as this.

Omo was it me? 😅 I recommended the show several times on the Kdrama sub and I've gotten people on Bluesky to…
What a delightful coincidence!! It truly was you ,same dp. 😁 Arigatou Gozaimasu for your kind recommendation. I usually am skeptical about drama that people tell me to watch. But your comment seemed genuinely earnest which pushed me to give it a chance and from the first episode it blew me up by how good it is. 🥰🥰

This was such a good watch. But I cannot get over J-C-K-dramas almost always making a way out for truly despicable…
Yeah, i agree that the change of the parents behaviour felt a bit rushed, but it somehow made sense with the dad losing his job and the mom speaking out about his behavior. A lot of men from my country lose that early anger and bluster after retirement. Because they thought their masculinity is tied to their jobs.

I took the student’s outburst as a mix of freedom, vulnerability, and just closeness with her. In such a strict, conservative institution, calling out an elder felt rebellious and kind of liberating. Manami definitely wanted to earn the trust of her students and she succeed. And honestly, what else do you expect from a bunch of hormonal teens who’ve had their voices clamped down their whole high school life?

On Learning to Love Sep 23, 2025
A month ago, I posted on Reddit’s Kdrama sub, confessing my exhaustion with formulaic shows, those predictable romances filled with one-dimensional characters. It felt as though love stories about authentic, messy, human people had vanished. I longed for something real.

‎A kind stranger suggested Learning to Love, and trusting her words, I pressed play. Tonight, having just finished the final episode, I feel as though I’m sinking into the gentle warmth of Manami and Kaoru’s love,,,, a love so quietly beautiful it lingers like the afterglow of a sunset.

‎True to its name, Learning to Love is exactly that: a lesson in love’s imperfect grace. Two flawed souls meet, not to magically complete each other, but to challenge, inspire, and even wound each other until, through their mess and misunderstandings, they discover the raw humanity in one another. Their story isn’t about perfection it’s about growth, vulnerability, and the delicate beauty of choosing each other anyway.

‎Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to cover it.

‎Time for some blanket statements:
‎ML falls for FL audience don't get why = femcel territory.
‎FL falls for ML audience don't get why = incel territory.

‎With Tempest, I honestly don’t know why both of even like each other. I’m camping in the land of pure Dumbfoundness...🤖
