I think they are trying hard with the darker makeup but the actress herself has such a baby face. The ml is well he does look his age especially when he does emotional scenes when he has to move his face, the sml looks a bit more youthful looking tho I have to say, but both look like they could pass for her uncle

For me it's either age gap but only when the woman is older or cross dressing and she is in the military that's the top notch for me but I love cross dressing in general

Don't worry. Again it's a you problem and it's your opinion not everyone can like a drama no matter how great it is! Personal preference is a thing. The leads have great chemistry and look great together that most of us would have liked more romance but maybe this is just not your cup of tea or you can't separate the actors from the characters or you have narrow minded/specific romance types that you enjoy whatever it is . No hate!
