So after watching today's eps here are my thoughts: 1- hh and sk date was very anticipated, I wanted to see what kind of chemistry they would have, but that was one hell of a weird date all they talked about was their ex. I thought HH liked sk so why the hell did he talk 99% about hy and made the mood so awkward fr. I am starting to think he is a bit of a weirdo at this point. He doesn't know what the hell he want and is always super awkward 2-yj going back and forth but deep down she already know cj has already cemented himself in her heart but she want to get back at him. I like yj individually but I don't like her with him, they are just so diffrent with different level of maturity due to their age 3-sk doesn't want to get back with jw for some reason and I don't think she is that into kt at the moment. Looking forward to her X date with him next ep 4-dh saying she expected they would be married at the end of their relationship with sad and full of love eyes made me tear a bit she said it so calmly.. Also looking forward to their X date
I have watched some of it and i already Know that it's a phenomenonal drama, I just would get frustrated with it if there isn't even a subtle romance. Just not for me.

I know the standards and I also know that if they don't diet like crazy they just won't be casted, I am not shaming I just think those are so crazy, dumb and extremly dangerous standards sigh it is what it is. The plot is a typical mediocre historical so I wasn't expecting anything other than that really the only variant is that I got attached to the first fl which ruined the rest for me. I think we just have different viewing experiences.

I don't think the guest actress (watched her in wonderland of love before) has mind blowing acting abilities but more like good enough but the role was simply woven perfectly for her. I agree that aos 2 is just so much worse in terms of feeling like he cheated part but I still felt like she is an entirely different person I never once thought that this was the original. As you said the first one is an underdog and we tend to root for an underdog rather than idk a model/idol and her acting didn't help her case either, I do think she is too doll like and I can't understand the beauty standards there because I thought she was very skinny in an alarming way like her breast cave was showing through her skin. I just hope she is healthy! Anyway that made the first fl endearing and it would have been refreshing to have a non conventional super beauty that relies on her mind and have something more wholesome. But I do get it, it will never happen women need to be perfect in cdrama no matter what.

From an extreme to another extreme. Chunky to anorexic, how about fit? I dislike both honesty and I think it's equally toxic to criticize healthy skinny and the whole well I don't like pretty boy movement as well. I find it eye roll worthy and a I am not like other girls, this kind of generousity is never extended to actresses ever if ZLY was as bulky as LGX I bet you would say she doesn't look graceful so I don't see how it's wrong to say that a healthy fit body especially for a costume drama is something horrendous to say and even going to say anorexic, I know you mean well but I find this type of thing to be toxic positivity just my personal stance, actors need to have a healthy attractive body and no ofc Chinese standards are crazy for both men and women but especially women. Something in the middle is the most desirable in my opinion. Sorry for the rant
