if directors swapped actresses, might be better π€£.
Vain China would never π giving us a unique scarred beautiful girl that relies on her mind and heart and an unconditional love that transcends everything? Too deep for cdrama hahahah
I also disagree with AvenueX! This is one of the best dramas and LGX is not to bulky. Why is there the impression…
From an extreme to another extreme. Chunky to anorexic, how about fit? I dislike both honesty and I think it's equally toxic to criticize healthy skinny and the whole well I don't like pretty boy movement as well. I find it eye roll worthy and a I am not like other girls, this kind of generousity is never extended to actresses ever if ZLY was as bulky as LGX I bet you would say she doesn't look graceful so I don't see how it's wrong to say that a healthy fit body especially for a costume drama is something horrendous to say and even going to say anorexic, I know you mean well but I find this type of thing to be toxic positivity just my personal stance, actors need to have a healthy attractive body and no ofc Chinese standards are crazy for both men and women but especially women. Something in the middle is the most desirable in my opinion. Sorry for the rant
Ok so I just don't think there is any meaning in continuing further with this drama I want to leave it on a positive note, those first 2 episodes and the beginning of the third were just phenomenal. It has been a while since I had flutters watching the two leads(1st fml and ml) on that mountain and his unconditional love for her! I think it's a chemistry hard to replicate. The first fml was endearing and was someone to root for, which made it even harder to bid goodbye to her. Personally, I think acting as another person is really hard and requires a level of great level of acting, because I need to be convinced and well it wasn't met. Jun ji wasn't a convincing Cai Wei, however the bigger blame goes to Jun ji as main fl continues to be underwhelming, while the original Cai Wei dies leaving us with unfinished business after her stellar performance in the first two episode and the fact that they didn't manage to even get married was extremely frustrating. The character created by Jun ji is an entirely different persona that was neither endearing, down to earth and a character to root for.. It was a third person as someone else has said it an extremely pretty, extremely skinny girl with the ml.. It reminds me of alchemy of souls s2 when the FL felt like an entirely different person and that the ml was cheating (not that it's anything like aos in the slightest, except the face swap) yeah well it left me with bad taste anyway I do reccomend the first 2 to 3 episode. After that it just was not my cup of tea.
tried as long as I could to give JJY a chance. She canβt act!! She has no chemistry with ANY of the characters,…
I feel you the best episodes for me were 1 and 2 and the beginning of 3. I just think this particular role required someone who could really act well, it's not easy to impersonate another person and their mannerism and the chemistry with the ml
I highly disagree with avenue x on everything except on LGX being a bit too bulky because I felt it too especially since this is a costume drama so there are more layers and the actors need to be graceful, tho now he looks fantastic.. I could feel he wasn't his best self while filming which bothered me just a little bit tho still love him. I think having a belly as an actor is big no no but also being healthy for both actors and actress is important. Just my two cents
