Whether the relationship is romantic or not is left entirely up to your interpretation. For me and many other viewers, their relationship is one of a kind. Soul mates in the truest sense. A love so pure that you don't even care about the age difference. Because honestly, can you imagine them with anyone but each other?

My poor hopeful heart wants me to believe that the reason why there hasn't been any update is because the makers are waiting for lee jin wook to free up his schedule :P
I know lee hana is shooting for a drama as well but there was plenty of time before she started on her show. The fact that the makers did not schedule anything even then makes me want to keep believing that they are trying to get lee jin wook on board.
He needs to come back, the show is incomplete without a proper conclusion to his storyline

Rating a drama low for not liking how it ends is not childish....it's literally up to the viewer how they rate it. By invalidating their views, you are the one being childish.
When i watch a show/film i rate it according to how it left me feeling afterwards. There are tons of tragic movies or shows that ive rated high because despite the sad ending, they had an impact and left me thinking about them long after.
The way this ended made me want to delete the entire thing from my mind. And that in my opinion qualifies as a bad show. There was simply no point to the entire show with the way it ended

It's a good show. I won't say it's not. But season 1 was definitely better. The stakes were higher, the villains were a lot more interesting, the cases a lot more darker and there was more of emotional oomph to it.
I know we cant get the same things in season 2 since everyone from the team came to terms with their pasts and traumas (except kim do gi) but we could have retained some of it still since people dont just get over things.
I hope season 3 retains the dark tones that season 1 had and gets a better villain. I just cant take the villain in this seriously.
But that being said, it is an enjoyable show and I definitely would have loved it more if i hadn't watched the first season.
The cast is excellent and the action scenes are wonderful. Im glad they kept the original osts, but sad that i didnt hear my favourite one which was Silence by YB.

I am so sick and tired of makers giving dramas messed up endings and the only reason it works is because despite these horrible endings, viewers will be all "it's a realistic ending" and continue to give ratings.
I dont care about reality, i come to watch dramas to escape from reality.
And why does it not bother the webtoon artists what they do to their source material? Is the money that important? If i were them i would create a fuss.

Plus what is with this trend of killing characters that dont even die in the webtoon? This and duty after school killed off characters and im surprised the webtoon artists weren't offended....

It's disappointing how there's still no announcement with regards to another season. Kdramas airing on streaming giants like Netflix, prime and Disney + is great and all. But ever since this started, kdrama endings have become more and more disappointing. Why do they end shows like this when there has been no confirmation that the story will continue? It has been this way since memories of alhambra and im getting real sick and tired of it. No matter how successful the show is, they'll end it on a Cliffhanger, promise something epic, then, never renew it.

I don't think happiness fits here since the leads are a married couple and share several romantic moments.

Dramas that deserve to be on this list are:
1)Voice season 2 and 3 (captain do and kang centre!!!)
2)The ghost detective
3)Train
4) Decoy part 1
5) Money game
6) Liar game

Its not prequel. I believe it's actually lee rang travelling back in time and this may change the course of events in the future. I kinda hope so because the romance was not it for me in the first season

I actually never completed the first season because i couldn't connect to the female lead. Nothing against her, i just didnt really enjoy the dynamic between her and the ML.
But i might watch this given the change in setting and FL.

I agree, their dynamic was the high light and the finale scene is my favourite. Ive never loved the finale episode of a show as much as this one and im glad that they ended it well rather than giving us a vague open ending with no surety of another season. Times when kdramas ended with more conclusive endings are what i miss the most.

Also, i get that everyone has their own opinion. Some may love a show while others won't. It's understandable. Everyone has their own perspective.
For example, wildly popular shows like squid game and glory did not catch my attention. But that does not mean these shows were bad.
What bothers me is the way many people are downplaying van and hyping johan. To me it honestly makes no sense. Van's character was so deep and well written while johan was pretty much not elaborated upon. So i don't understand where these comments are coming from which completely ignore how amazing of a character van was. Different perspective and all that, but some comments are eerily similar but oh well, doesn't change that the show is successful.
To anyone who is thinking of watching the show, i suggest that you go ahead and do so. Don't let the negative comments hinder you. Twitter, Instagram, YouTube are all filled with people praising the show, the show has done well on amazon prime, it has been invited to cannes Festival. It is a good show especially for fans of the fantasy genre. Im a hardcore fan of the genre (lord of the rings is my all time favourite) and as a fan of the genre, i can tell you that the world building is excellent, the characters are heart touching and acting is top tier.
I hope the makers actively consider another season given the success of the show because we have so much potential here.
Imagine a more lethal van, an inhibited van and mi ho doing her best to bring him back. We could also have mi ho training to fight these demons. Can you just imagine the potential of such a dynamic? I can and it makes me all the more hopeful for another season.

Guys! The show has been invited to The Cannes International festival!! This is a milestone for all involved and i think it is definitely a positive sign for the makers to consider another season.

It was actually a hit. It's an ocn show and did well in ratings. Ocn shows, even those that are a hit, dont have ratings that other dramas do because of the small audience. So in terms of an ocn show, it was successful. I know because i watched it soon after it had finished airing and everyone was raving about it

I can say the same to you. You have given numbers but no reference. And your numbers are from part 1 by the way, not part 2. None of your numbers quote any reference. Most of it was what "think" (i dont think it had achieved enough for a second season are your words). I have quoted articles. (My source says otherwise, what source? Pray do tell)
No one is trying to make something out of nothing by writing articles. When dark hole flopped, everyone said it flopped. Why would anyone call a show a hit when a simple search on the net could debunk it? Amazon prime isnt just big in western market. And plus the show has been trending in japan as well. All articles praise it. Im not saying it was as big of a hit as squid game. But it was pretty successful in its place.
I want to end this here, you are stretching this needlessly. Why are you so hellbent on forcing your "island was a flop" narrative? This is a lot of commitment for a show you don't seem to even like....lets leave it here shall we?
