On The Revenge Lover Mar 3, 2025
I got the summary from a website here in Brazil. Here it is...

Hattori Maika is an employee who works at the "Bird Left" hotel. She has a secret relationship with her colleague Matobe Narimitsu. One day, Maika witnesses Narimitsu having an affair with another woman at the company and is abandoned by him. In the midst of her heartbreak, Maika is approached by Satori Shun, the newly appointed CEO of "Bird Left", who tells her that he will help her get revenge on her boyfriend if she pretends to be his girlfriend. Shun has a wedding planned by his parents and he wants to get away from it.

The two, with their interests aligned, decide to start a fake relationship to help each other.

8 ep is the last and I was wtf
I was shocked when I saw it was the last one.
The worst part is that the reason for the protagonist's behavior makes sense, but it was explored in the worst possible way (extremely rushed) like everything else in this ending.

Don't read this if you haven't seen up to episode 6:I've seen theories on youtube that the carabiner guy is the…
I really wouldn't like it to be the former prosecutor. First, because FL's father had him on his list, and according to the investigation he was doing, it would be easy to find out "who he really is". Second, because it would break a lot of the suspense of the series. It would be a "very safe" option and with that plot that "the real criminal is working on both sides".

I hope to be surprised with a beautiful conclusion to this drama. Yes, I thought Uta's photos were fake, I think everyone is a suspect and ML's father could be alive and behind all of this, with the sole objective of "breaking the police".

With each episode I get even more curious and hooked on this drama.

I am fully aware that this is about the script, but if there is one thing that makes no sense to me, it is the attitude of this ex.

The person dates someone else for years, says they are super in love and then one day they just disappear. No explanation, no satisfaction... nothing.

Then the person who was dumped has trust and rejection issues - obviously - and tries to rebuild their life as much as possible. After a decade, the ex comes back as if nothing had happened and wants to build a family with her and a teenager who she could not be a part of growing up.

After coming back, she talks about what happened and goes back to acting as if the breakup and the return had happened in the space of a week. The protagonist's mother believes that her daughter can simply get married and be "safe" (as she says to her daughter) with a person who one day was the love of her life and the next day disappeared like smoke (yes, definitely a profile that conveys extreme security).

But this ex is a lawyer, he knows a lot of people related to law, and yet, even after being dumped by the protagonist, he still runs to her with a problem. He didn't respect his girlfriend when he left without saying anything or giving her a clear and decent breakup, and he doesn't respect her now, when he tries at all costs to be a part of her life.

This is so disrespectful on his part. It's so unpleasant and uncomfortable. It would be so good if he could take care of his life and his daughter and leave the protagonist alone to enjoy a new love.

On The Potato Lab Mar 2, 2025
I didn't rate it, but I confess that after a short time of the drama I was pretty tired. FL is more convincing in the scenes where she's serious or sad than when she starts fighting, which is bad, because being impulsive is the main characteristic of her character.

The scene with the killer bird is so random that I'm still wondering why they included that in the script. Everything is very exaggerated and the only scene that I really laughed at was when FL was being comforted by her friend who was narrating a character's story.

I confess that I was pretty bored with everything. Even though it's a predictable romantic comedy, they failed a lot in the execution, so even though they have the necessary elements to make something work, for me it still didn't work because they gave too much space to what was unnecessary.

If they cut 50% of the exaggerations, maybe it will work. Understand, no matter how eccentric the writers want the potato lab team to be, we can't forget that they are scientists, so it's essential that they convey trust. Therefore, finding the balance between these two characteristics is essential, otherwise it will be impossible for viewers to believe that these people are capable of doing something useful in that lab.

I would really like it to improve, but I'll wait for more episodes to watch it again.

i think some of the Japanese series were out of the box thinking compared to other languages. i assume they were…
They do good romances too, but if they're going to adapt a manga, then you'd expect some "childish" elements to appear. So if you're not willing to put up with that, you'd better choose something else to watch.

Japanese dramas are the best for me. They can come up with some incredibly creative ideas for some stories, which makes me very happy.

I really can't get into Chinese dramas.

7.2 ???? It’s good i Really dont understand ppl…
Don't worry too much about My Drama List ratings when it comes to Japanese dramas. It's rare for me to see a rating above 8 for them here in the community, even if the drama is excellent.

I'm loving this series so much. The cast is great, the main characters work very well together, the mystery has a central focus (a murdered family), but it unfolds into several other mysteries and finally, everyone has a part of their soul that is "wrong", some a good part and others a little less.

Oh, what a mess! I think the best ending would be for a third guy to appear who would be very happy with the protagonist, far away from the two guys.

I was really enjoying this drama, but there are so many problems between the two that I really don't think they should be together.

What's the point of loving if you don't have the courage to say what you think to your partner? What's the point of loving if you don't trust the person you choose to marry? If you don't feel at all comfortable with the person who will live with your quirks and flaws, then don't even get married. The main couple loves each other, that's clear and they show it with great sincerity and excellent chemistry, but neither of them has the courage to truly open their hearts.

I was really tired of "yet another misunderstanding" in episode 5, but just by watching the preview of episode 6, I decided to take a break from this drama and when it's over I'll come back to read the comments and then decide whether to continue.

For me, a main couple that was a great match, but unfortunately they were wasted in this tiresome story that is so repetitive.

It's supposed to be like that because Maki in the manga gets confused with a teenager too. So Itagaki actually…
Thank you very much for bringing this information. I really can't think much of the main character, because he looks like a child, so I find it funny when people refer to him as the "leader" and then see him lying down with a book like a baby who needs his favorite teddy bear to feel protected in the dark and be able to sleep well.

However, seeing that this is part of the main script, I thought it was respectful of the casting director to choose this actor. However, I also learned that he changed the image of Kainuma's character and that left me a little frustrated, because I found his version in the manga much more interesting than in the drama.

The only thing that bothers me about the Jdrama airing schedule ,,, too long time between each episode airing…
I don't have much patience for Chinese dramas anymore. Whether it's because of their 457 episodes or 17 chapters to tell something that could be shown in 3 scenes, it leaves me very frustrated.

I also don't really like the acting in Chinese dramas and the way the script unfolds.

Japanese dramas are more objective and deal with themes that keep me more interested. However, 1 episode per week for a story full of suspense like this one is really challenging to follow while it's still on the air.

I also keep controlling my anxiety and hoping that next week will come soon. Here in Brazil, we first have to wait for someone to translate from Japanese to English and then from English to Portuguese. I haven't found a fansub that does a direct translation from Japanese to Portuguese yet, so we always end up waiting a little longer.

I watched the anime, manga and movie to prepare subtitling for this. I'd say the most significant change is that…
I think these are very significant differences. I think that bringing Suzuki's image only in flashbacks would be very interesting, in the same way that showing Kainuma as someone who became obsessed with Maki after she freed him from prison and this led to tragic consequences, is also a very interesting arc.

Now I'm very interested in watching the anime or reading the manga. Thank you for showing us some points of divergence between the versions.

I just finished binge-watching this drama and it was a great choice for a Sunday afternoon.

The only bad thing is that it ends. The pair worked really well, the characters are charismatic and the cases (which I was intrigued to learn were real) were very well chosen. I confess that even though I was sad about the cases, the last one left me devastated.

It would be great if we could have more seasons of this drama.

Hopefully the misunderstanding gets cleared next episode. I want to see them happy and living together as an official…
Me too.
But one good thing about this drama is that even though I get upset with misunderstandings, in this case I understand the protagonist's attitude. She went through a relationship that completely destroyed her ability to trust someone and her self-esteem, but even so she overcame the barrier of her own vulnerability and tried to open up. That's why coming across that scene must have been very painful for her, even though we know it's not the way she imagines it.

I think jdramas can make us look at a scenario from different angles and this one is showing very well the impact that an emotionally destructive relationship can have on you.

FL transitions very well between her maturity at work and fragility in her love life, while ML manages to convey the vibe of happiness in the moments he's with FL.

Oh, and the height difference between them is very, very cute and they work very well together.

They are becoming one of my favorite couples at the moment. I haven't seen the spin-off yet (I don't know if I want to see more scenes of her with her ex), but maybe I will when the original production ends.

Due to the style of the drama, I believe that this revelation in the second episode is not yet real.

I think we will be surprised by a lot of things yet.

I really liked this drama. The main couple, the stories of the secondary characters, showing that everyone has their own pain, faces different challenges and has their own qualities. They addressed complex topics but in a light and fun way. I often found myself laughing at some scenes and it cheered me up.

It was a good drama to end on a Friday.

no, In my opinion I think her trauma is more the fact he left her suddenly without saying anything.we will know…
If I were invited to a party and only there I discovered that my boyfriend who I had been in a relationship with for 5 years had formed a partnership, but hadn't told me anything, I would be very angry. In addition to the lie, there was the whole environment, with people she didn't know or had even been introduced to, who had a very intimate behavior with her boyfriend.

"Ah, but then he tried to contact you." For what he did in hiding something so important from her, he should have stayed in front of his house waiting for her to arrive so they could have a mature conversation and resolve this, but the guy decides to "send a message on his cell phone".

Is he really a man or a child?
