Th determined Zhang Zhun and playful Zhen Xin is a deadly combo In did not expect so soon so it got me out of left field . I would still prefer they did not start out from absolute cheating, then the Honeeey gf got her money and deal so I kinda feel she got a good deal, honestly she didn't love him so getting compensation is better for her than him being reasonable and breaking up with her right when he started to catch feelings before they even got public. Wish more business-like girlfriends in dramas just cut their losses with dignity and made a beneficial deal instead of doing some sabotage sh*t for pride's sake, you entered the relationship cause u used brain then you should leave it using one as well. So kudos to the badass even tho the "honeeeya" screech is becoming unbearable. The problem is the other relationship, Zhun looking pretty determined but so far he told everyone except his actual girlfriend that he wants to breakup, why do I feel like he will chicken out when confronted with her face to face... also despite the girls' talk his gf has invested too much mentally and time-wise into their relationship (not sure about the emotional side she is kinda weird from their phone calls) but with so much invested it wouldn't be weird if she didn't wanna let go. Her short cameo looked like the type to rather destroy him and his career and keep the broken parts with her to take care of , rather than let it go or get revenge and leave. Than again that was just the vibe , might also be just the actress 🤷 too little screen time yet .

The director is the legend. i hope they don't mess up his character later , duno how it works but it does😁 when one sees the bts it is even more psychedelic, BTS rehearsing BTS of a fictional series within the series. Quite the inception schtick. I also low key enjoy taht I can't seem to decipher Zhun's character, I mean he is almost as weird as his fictional one, I can't seem to figure out how much both his characters actually calculate, sometimes it seems he plans pretty well, then he does seem clueless again... no idea who is honey trapping who even at episode 5 . The only annoying yhing is that both are in commited relationships, whyyyy whyyy? I guess to add some higher stakes drama plit to the second half, but these two are dramatic enough on their own
The Chinese BLbfound a formula, red flags in angst romance then oull out super loveable BTS , I mean if it ain't broken.... now if the BTS clips are kinda scripted as well Ayden and Si Tong are even better actors than they already are in the drama and have my full admiration. And Si Tong is already quite amazing, whenever I see a clip I can tell right away without any dialogue taking place if he is Yi Chen or Elio, that is quite incredible metamorphosis he's got going whne playing the character. And it is not at all just the horrible hair styling, that is actually kinda unnecessary to be honest, he becomes Yi Chen with the eye expressions even in the jaw set and body posture... really stop the hair 🫣 Ayden's character change is less pronounced compared to the BTS , he and Lu Feng share the same lovesick expression quite often, the main difference would be kinda softness, like I can absolutely believe LuFeng would accidentally kill his loved one if in manic episode (and then absolutely ruin himself over it too) but Ayden doesn't give that vide at all so that would be the main distinction for me even if the expression is similar. So both are very good actors for being so recognizable from their characters even if the scenes in the drama and rehearsals/BTS are sometimes literally same. I think except for marketing value the BTS cult is actually very useful to highlight actors' skills like so.
Poor Cha Se Gye flooring the gas pedal in every episode lately ... ut is getting a bit repetitive. Also I was kikda catfished from the previews, thinking how refreshing it will be to have such no-bullshit painfully-honest a pathetic male lead (these are all compliments btw) and that the relationship will be so much more straightforward and fun than usual, but nooooo we've got the same emotionally-stumped uncommunicative female lead character with not just one major "miscommunication misunderstanding" but a whole freaking show of them .... we do not get one bug misunderstood separation around episode 13 ,we get a whole set of mini ones at all times. I appreciate the notion of diffusing the inevitable frustration, but common! I can't for the life of me figure out how Cha Se Gye fell in love in the first place - Iean before she somewhat admits having hots for his face 🫣😁If one looks only on the interactions he had with her without knowing her POV...he knows literally nothing about her, they never had as much as a small talk , she is crazy and not always in a cute way ... I don't know, either he is a major masochist or he is kinda forced by his past. It makes it kinda hard to get invested in the romance aspect of it all, but I enjoy it as a comedy.

Maaaaaaan why the why would they censor this, I assume it was butchered because they're romacing hard but nothing of it, no to mention the ending, i lived under the impression that it was still ongoing. C'mon, they basically live together , share bed and all, can we be adults about it and at least go with a kiss or something? I was somewhat disappointed in the second half, and why are we back to the forced separation crap in 2025? I would love if Hui Ju's character was a bit smarter with playing the 406....I mean she was so emotional about after the second call ... she became more sassy again at some point , but overall I would enjoy more belivable cat and mouse dynamic, at point the 406 persona was just plain dumb and impulsive. howeve overall I've enjoyed the fresh plot , bur the characters would benefit from more thought
So after Vincenzo re-watch I have a question. How the hell does one de-age by ten years by outting their hair down? after already looking like a freaking vampire ....so not fair 😀 whatever freakish skin routine , genes or black magic is that, good for you ! And as usual I enjoyed the awesome smirk throughout the series, it was delightful.
I re-watched, SJK is so crucial for this one, like I somewhat hate Hong Cha Young's whole character. It is so conflicting. But the drama is cool , still quite unique after all this time. I like the hilarious episodes in the middle, the courtroom mayhem, the country club wcenes playing Arenaline in the background, it make sme laugh loudly even if I know they're there already. Again the ending portion is a bit weak but that's kdramas staple.
