Is it a spoof?
K-drama lovers like myself enjoy a cliché or two or three. We don’t watch to be too surprised…. But I had to pick my jaw off the floor so many times at the complete absence of plot beyond the unbearable level of miscommunication, and endless repetitions of the K-staple scenes: fevers x 2, rush to hospital x 5, fall in the forest x1 , the chaebol arranged marriage, umbrella moments… I had the speed watch the second half, so it might actually have been worse.
It such a shame because all the actors were actually good, and the chemistry between the leads sufficient for a very decent romcom.
I can think of no legitimate reason to start watching this series, it was painful enough to rage-skip-watch in case it improved … it didn’t
