Head and shoulders above Thai BLs
A proper story with great emotional depth and complex philosophical questions, but a moving love story first.The actors blew me away. They’re famous because of standard Thai BLs where acting isn’t normally the strongest suit.
But here Fourth and Gemini are amazing, subtle acting and their chemistry takes on a warm, sensitive, nearly innocent shade.
A must watch, whether you like BLs or not.
And an important story about acceptance of gay love in the church.

Is it a spoof?
K-drama lovers like myself enjoy a cliché or two or three. We don’t watch to be too surprised…. But I had to pick my jaw off the floor so many times at the complete absence of plot beyond the unbearable level of miscommunication, and endless repetitions of the K-staple scenes: fevers x 2, rush to hospital x 5, fall in the forest x1 , the chaebol arranged marriage, umbrella moments… I had the speed watch the second half, so it might actually have been worse.It such a shame because all the actors were actually good, and the chemistry between the leads sufficient for a very decent romcom.
I can think of no legitimate reason to start watching this series, it was painful enough to rage-skip-watch in case it improved … it didn’t

Uncomfortable
The story is a bit convoluted with two parallel storylines, the actors’ relationship (toxic) and the characters’ relationship (toxic).The acting is mediocre at best and the chemistry absent. But the reason I dropped is because it’s so Wang Yibo/ Xiao Zhan coded it’s to watch like one of those sleazy AI edits.
Same hairstyles, clothes and the actors were chosen for their passing resemblance from certain angles (not their skills). It’s too obvious for it to be a coincidence. Wherever you stand on the WYB/XZ ship, it’s cringeworthy and uncomfortable.

Romcom with substance
It’s been ages since I watched a K-romcom that I enjoyed this much. It’s got everything— an interesting premise (women turning to fantasy boyfriends when disappointed by IRL men), a well-built story with no sagging plot or filler episodes, just enough angst (not a lot) and Chemistry!!Chemistry everywhere… lots of famous K-heartthrobs in cameos, and the chemistry is playfully overdone, but still fun. And the chemistry between Jisoo and Seo In Guk is perfect.
The OST is cheerful and catchy.
It’s short (10 episodes), totally binge-worthy and will put a smile on your face.

Cute but loses steam in second half
Good premise, but the music club rule that they couldn’t date was a flimsy plot. The MMCs had good chemistry and were cute together, but not a patch on their newest series “Ticket to Heaven”. The second couple did a decent job too.Overall, pleasant, low angst, lots of singing.
Watch if you’re keen on a Thai BL.

Cuckoo crazy, carried by the chemistry!
Often it’s the other way round, a great story is let down by tepid chemistry… here the story reads like a video game, but the chemistry between the leads is scorching hot, despite never going further than kissing. I’d never seen the main actor in anything before but I’m going to check out his other works!Was this review helpful to you?
There’s gentle character and there’s doormat
I liked the premise as it is a bit different. Terrible wife, sexy brother in law who becomes the main character’s protector. And boy does he need protecting! He lets everyone bully him and walk all over him. And after a few episodes and no sign of character growth, it becomes really frustrating.The last third is a bit better, but not by much. I only kept watching it because the brother in law is one of those grey flags, and nd I liked the actor.
Still watchable with expectations managed!

Great characters shame about the ending
I loved the characters, and the actors have really good chemistry. The story is not your bog standard BL (that I have nothing against!!) . It is entertaining and pretty bingeable.Unfortunately it would have been a memorable, solid 9, if not for the rush ending. No spoilers but the ending is not what I expected (but not in a good way).
I’d probably rewatch it with my expectations realigned, and I would enjoy it better.

All the clichés but some original storylines too
First of of all… the three main leads are gorgeous!! And the costumes and locations are a feast for the eye.I love the matchmaking storylines and the clever tricks they employ to get couples together.
Special mention for Byun Woo Seok, devastatingly charming in his role as a ladies’ man. The expression ‘come to bed’ eyes must have been coined for him.
Overall not groundbreaking, but enjoyable and worth a casual watch.

I wanted to love it
Unfortunately at some point the romance was no longer enough to make up for a convoluted plot with too many characters and stories within the story.The chemistry between the couple was okay, but far too many better combo plot/chemistry. I could no longer justify to myself the time spent.
The OST grew on me, and the costumes, set design and fight scenes were gorgeous, so still a feast for the eyes.

Slapstick comedy but not engaging
Fun and lighthearted, with two good comedic leads. Everything looks promising, but the chemistry is not there and there’s nothing to differentiate this drama from other average Kdrama romcoms. Totally forgettable. Dropped at episode 3. Just couldn’t be bothered to continue.In the right mood it might be watchable.

No chemistry
Chemistry is everything whether the story is good or not. There, the premise is interesting, a doctor saving lives and a grim reaper taking them, the production is not bad, but the lead actors are wooden and seem to have no interest in each other.I watched first episode, skipped ahead to confirm my suspicions then dropped it.
