man I started out liking the show and I do like it still but idc what anyone says, Jun's pushy character and his behaviour in always butting in between Thame Po has long gotten annoying and putting me off. people are like oh but may be he is doing this for reason A and B but for now when I know nothing, this forceful love triangle, I'm not feeling it and ruining Jun's character for me as well.
binged all 9 episodes yesterday and today and I'm having fun and gorgeous colors, love love the styling especially all those pretty beads and flowers in miaomiao's hair and god ding yuxi's puppy eyes never not gonna get me. and ep 7 was the best yet, so exciting!!
Is this based on some existing IP? coz if yes I need some clarification that what is their relationship exactly? are the cousins or siblings through adoption or what?
question: I’m at ep 3 and fl is following ml like a stray dog and it gets in my nerve. I get that she’s in…
The thing is while her actions look desperate at first but somehow I laughed more at those antics than I was annoyed.Especially as the story goes on, her infatuation and feelings for the ml remains but that is not her whole personality. So I'd say keep watching and it'll get better.
Commie censorship CANCELS out on everything written/filmed, so why bother being disappointed??? Face it, that…
Something is really wrong with you. like you spamming same comment under other people's comments several times and when called out you start losing it. Please get off internet and take a breather!
I have serious question like why did tianwaitian get away with this all in the end and no being defunct coz they were the one who messed up with yi wenjun and sent her back and manipulated Ye Dingzhi for their own purpose as well which lead to you know him dying. Why in the world should wuxin ever have had to go back to prop them up.
I see some people saying the plot is "predictable because it's xianxia". Some dropped because of it. Some are…
meanwhile I'm liking it because I do not feel it is the most predictable xianxia. ofcourse you can't expect to escape the main big tropes that are common in xianxia but still I find the setup of an almost demigod being ousted, conspired against and being hunted fresh. Then you have him partnering with the female lead who is not shown as the silly, can't do anything for herself and neither is the guy shown as this cold aloof guy incapable of love who sacrifices his loved ones because heaven or moral comes first and all that.
The way I had no expectations from this one but I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. It's simply just fun and also not the most predictable xianxia but not too complicated or exaggeratingly dramatic either.Though it gives you low budget idol costume drama feels in terms of aesthetic but overall it's an enjoyable watch so far.
oh and I know drama watching is subjective at times, which is proved so well by these comments of people saying they are finding it boring meanwhile I feel this has so many light hearted, comedic as well as sweet moments so far. Like it is so ridiculous at times but it just works.
So I watched this just because and surprisingly enjoyed it. It definitely has a lot of frustrating points but I'm in kind of a lump and trying to check out dramas and this one stuck. probably one reason would be I do like wuxia and also I might be somewhat biased towards He Yu. Things I didn't enjoy would be the length, definitely felt like a whole lot of things could have been cut down, too many separations between ling'er and xiaoyao when their cp was probably one of the charming things about the drama for me. second would be having yueru hung up on xiao yao till the end with her one sided feelings for him like why. oh and the ending god I HATE this type of ending. same as what we had with A Journey To Love. I need C-Drama writers to free us of open endings or people in a grassland all happy ending to symbolize I don't know what.
on the positive front, aesthetic wise it did give you the typical wuxia drama feels, in comparison to the other two sword and fairy dramas that also aired this year. The CGI was I feel done well, nothing overboard and not shabby either. on character front, I honestly cared for no one other than the leads so if plot didn't intent it that way then oh well. As far as acting, I have not seen any of fl's work before but I think she was not given a lot to work with here, so for her part she was fine nothing to shout about. As for He Yu, for him too I think there were not many different aspects to his character, it was pretty one dimensional but I did enjoy his performance in this, Like further showing he has got potential if the right story, role and director comes along.
I'm so seated for this one.The trailer got me intrigued and it shares the screenwriter and director with ITSAY? I'm sold! Also acting chops coming through as well.
bro I thought this show had 12 episodes but then it went to 13 and ai thought okay 13 might be the finale but I'm now realising it's 16 lol not complaining though. It's been a pretty chill sweet watch.
