caught up to the last episode and man have they messed up.

girl, these past 2-3 episode hyo sim has frustrated me. like sorry but while I can understand the whole oh she's fillial and she loves her father and all but reasonably her actions are stupid and her putting tae ho at a distance and even towards the end of the latest episode when tae ho came to her, she still tryna leave him like this forced miscommunication is annoying and I feel like tae ho loves her more than she loves him. All that relationship development and a healthy one at that down the drain.

Princess Ning a selfish, spoiled and annoying character and takes up way too much screentime for my liking. Like why do I gotta sit through her being a whiny immature brat.

Yep and may be I'm tripping but even the way she speaks and the voice reminds me of Liang Jie.

The FL reminds me of the other chinese actress Liang Jie so strongly appearance wise. I don't know if anybody else sees it as well.

This turned out to be so good I'm surprised. Especially for a xianxia which haven't been giving for quite some time now. But this gets positive points on all fronts. Story was not all boring, costumes and hairstyle beautiful, actors who played the leads, loved them together and I think their acting suited as well. Even CGI was not tacky. Sets were pretty too.

I'm like it's just weird to me that why Chu Yue of all people for that ending scene, dream or not it just did not fit for me. Even Yang Ying would've made more sense to me considering her relationship with all the others. and while yeah I can make scenarios of how they escaped and all, I want something definite from the story for closure. There were lot of "How?" left unanswered in last 4-5 episodes.

Messy last episode aside, the whole drama was the best costume drama of the year for me, it was just so complete. See I'm the person who absolutely hates seeing my fave characters being killed off, especially for the sake of sad endings. I'm a wholehearted supporter of happy endings I don't care about being realistic or whatever but here I was prepared to see people from my beloved goofy squad dying, especially with being given a hint through OST and trailers and other foreboding dialogues during the course of the drama. But I did not expect Yu ShiSan to be part of that too like when it got to there, it felt like too much. Then out of nowhere have LTG going to kill Beipan's king in middle of the night and Yuanzhou and Ruyi "losing" their lives in order to clean his mess coz let's be honest no matter how else presented, that is exactly what led to it aside from them being at war. After that why was Chu Yue of all people there for that ending and we get a plot hole of Yuanzhou and Ruyi surviving but no explanation and we don't see them. I feel like this drama needed just 2 more episodes so not all was crammed into the last two episodes but I know the limit is 40 episodes now so they can't help it which sucks. overall I have several grievances with the final two episodes but there was a lot that I liked in them too. Brilliant drama and I definitely will be rewatching nad here's to hoping they got some special episodes lined up for us.

Hoping they got some special episodes like they had for SOKP and mysterious lotus casebook coz otherwise there is a plot hole for towards the final episode. Like it was great and I don't feel disappointed but like I need explanation to how Yuanzhou and Ruyi survived and the aftermath. Let me see them in flesh coz I need my closure or I'll lose my mind.

It's that 10 day something poison that Zhang song, that court official man in the beginning made yuanzhou take to control him while on this mission. He needs to take antidote for it every ten days. So he was being attacked by the poison and I guess he was pressing on his palm coz there might be some accupressure point there that could help with that.

Yeah right. talking about some women having to be obedient and follow virtues. That was in poor taste. Typical of a man of that times but expected better from his character still.

Don't know about long ago but it has been like this for quite a while now. Actually this is one of the better schedules. Iqiyi usually is good in that terms, you get like 16-18 episodes with 2 daily and then it you get 2-3 days, then 3-4 days of episodes and so on it continues. wetv is second best with them in my opinion. youku has the weirdest schedules with airing of episodes all over the place.
