started this drama coz I saw an edit of the leads and the chemistry got me and 4 episodes in so far and I come here and see people saying they didn't feel the chemistry and I just can't relate?? like I already want them in another dramatic show but with more romance this time around.
one thing I have been noticing is people keep saying Wang Ye/ Hoy Minghao is the main lead but I think y'all mistake the top billing with being main lead and hence more screen time. The billing or the order in which they are credited is more indicative of who is more experienced amongst the lead group of characters. And also from what I have garnered Wang Ye is a significant character but gets more time in second season of donghua at a certain arc so I guess we'll see that when it happens.
It will be just very evil if they do not plan for a second season after than ending and the revelations. Like it reminded me of The untamed when they just made us hear Lan Wangji calling out Wei Ying but didn't show him and the end, here they didn't even do that it was just Gong ZiYu waiting and gates opening and him seeing something but we have no idea what.
I might be in the minority but I understand why the head celestial Taoist drugged ZLY but at the same time wish he hadn't. Also to be noted the drug only kicked in when lingyu used up all his strength and I believe Chulan would have won anyway sooner or later. He did show he had the strength and ability and also he is the protagonist afterall so he had to win.
Aside from that, it was so sweet to see baobao all worried for Chulan today, people think she doesn't do emotions but we have been shown time and again she does even though she might not understand them but she has people she cares for and Chulan is one of them.
It's youku so expected. They always have very erratic airing schedules.
Well then just an observation from my side for the three big platforms: iqiyi has best schedules, youku is always all over the place, wetv schedules are pretty standard.
That Wang ye and Feng Bao Bao interaction was hilarious lol. Also was wondering if feng baobao and Feng family have any relation. I mean I don't know if the Chinese character for "Feng" for both is same or not.
I'm not a huge fan of slow burn but that's the vibe Gong Ziyu and Yun Weishan storyline is giving me and I'm actually enjoying it, there is something innocently sweet about it.
On ep 2 and this drama just so unserious and ridiculous and definitely getting laughs out of me. Like leave your brain aside and just watch for time pass and laughter.
