I have been loving this so so much. only 12 episode out so far but I think it'll land in one of my favourite dramas this year. It is just so lovely!

I would like to scream coz that final episode lacked a punch big time like again that ending felt rushed through and lacking a ton of footage I'm just frustrated

on ep 8th and it's been light hearted so far but one character I don't like is ma yi yi like please give the girl some personality other than desperate guy crazy it is not flattering at all.

yeah not worried about the happy ending coz in the calender for the airing schedule, going by the emoticon beside the final episode number it is likely a HE and also got that from a scene from one of the OST MVs.

saw the preview for ep 35 and had a wildest thought that the evil heavenly emperor is gonna take over yan yue's body

right like 30 long years and they seem to have a pretty good relationship, the demon queen doesn't seem like bad person too and they clearly are devoted to each other so I don't know how it can just all go away just coz wei zhi is back. It's an entangled mess.

I'm saying! like they barely have had any time together to develop their relationship and see the chemistry. everytime it resolves and it seems like okay they back together, shit happens and we back to square one.

it kind of sucks to see yan yue and whoever this demon queen is with the face of wei zhi being all lovely dovey like memory loss or whatever but the guy is married to her, in love and with a kid, I don't how they can just make it into nothing when he goes back to wei zhi coz it'll happen and I don't know how wei zhi will be okay with that too. I don't know how to feel about this whole thing now.

no I think the egg that ou ya and lan su had that is likely to be their kid is what my guess is.

yeah there is weird confusing twist going on. I don't think any of us asked for it. The new face girl is wei zhi and she is aware but yan yue seems to have amensia pretty much and then there is the one who likes wei zhi but is not wei zhi.

saw the previews of ep 31-32 oh I'm gonna be frustrated seeing someone else playing wei basically and getting all the screen time yeah not gonna enjoy that and also I have got so many questions. don't know what they thinking doing this just 4 episodes before it ends.

yeah it was like they cut down scenes to squeeze two episodes into one. It sucks coz it really brings down the quality of the drama affecting the flow and as you said confuses the viewers.

man I don't know if the editing team is just bad or they had to cut down the footage to reduce number of episodes coz fast pacing and all is good but at times I really feel like I'm watching short format drama with how scenes jump with too many plotholes. like take ep 23 for example, Chen yan is shown in the cave or wherever he fell and he then comes back but we do not see how, then in the room he puts Wang yue to sleep and next scene she's at the place where he's killing her people like how and when did she wake up, you see those who he lived with as friends and family die and there is no reaction from him which okay fine let's talk about how she burns down entire field yet Chen yan and mu yan escape fine and the next shot of Chen yan we see is just so random like what happened between the last scene and now, he gets blasted by the pheonix fire and the guy from heavenly realm takes him back just like that without his mortal life story having a proper end and in just general it felt like there was no closure. I'm still gonna watch this till the end but definitely would've liked if it was a little longer with more episodes if only so we could have more details without scenes feeling like they just jumping plot.

yeah that seems the more reasonable and likely option.

wondering if wei zhi is seeing the past from everyone's perspective taken into account like we are seeing it or it's just her side or mu nan's side specifically which obviously will affect her perception of the whole thing although yeah it won't change the fact that Chen yan did betray her of the past life.

Thia by no means is a high quality or very well written or executed drama production wise but sometimes you know you just in the mood so I'm enjoying this. It has flaws, plotholes and the editing leaves me irritated at times but I still gotta watch. May be it's just the costume dramas obsession in me but yeah I'm liking it.

oh agree. he looks more lively and expressive here which obviously is the character but definitely liking his portrayal here more than yan yue if I had to prefer one.

a question, is this drama bene divided into two seasons for this one is all there is and we'll get the complete story in 36 episodes?

I do not like how the second lead is manipulating chae Kyung most of the time to make her think she is inferior and that the crown prince will never like her and their relationship is ill fated one and egged her on to end their marriage. and female lead frustrates me when she keeps being so close to her and has no objections when he gets so touchy feely with her despite him having told her so many times how he likes her and she was betrothed to him and should have been married to him and he wants her to end their marriage and get together with him like girl what is in that skull of yours.
