I do not feel xiao Yan and xuner as a cp at all. Feels like it's forced pairing like that just has to be. Not feeling the chemistry at all. Instead I find xiao Yan to be paired up well with yixian and wish that was the actual cp.
Finished this yesterday and I'm just satisfied. It was a good watch, there were more things that I liked than I had to complain about and honestly it was a pleasant watch and didn't make me wanna pull my hair out. It had everything in balance. Won't call it the most exceptional but as far as costume dramas go, for me this was one of the good ones in a crowd of below average ones. And I enjoyed the cast very much and will give it a re-watch if I'm ever in the mood.
Lmao yes I would read the book after I'm done with the drama coz I've done it before with several adaptations. I did it with the untamed and word of honor and several others. And just because of your speculation that it wouldn't happen in drama does not mean you get to spoil anything. And don't get started with me about acting like you were using the word "fat" as some type of compliment towards the guy.
You have several times revealed what goes on in the book and how is it different to what happens in drama. That is very much a spoiler coz you don't know exactly what might show up in drama. You literally spoiler in one comment that the ml dies in the book, is that not a spoiler? And ain't nobody bashing you but you would not have recieved this much push back if you expressed your opinions respectfully instead of going around insisting in calling the actor fat and people who have not read the book lazy.
Man you have been on a roll here in the comments with this excuse acting like your opinion is somehow superior. You also have been putting out spoilers without tagging them as such ruining others' experience. You don't like the drama and casting fine but you can't force others to have the same opinion as you. Calling the actor fat coz he is not feminine enough and justifying it with that other chinese netizens are saying it as well like that makes it okay. Calling people lazy coz that have not read the novel as if with every live action adaption, there aren't people who are not familiar with the source material and thus take the adaptation as it is but you here acting like people liking this drama or acting is somehow offensive to you. You can have your opinion and so can the rest watching the drama. You got an issue so you can just not watch and move on instead of being miserable and ruining it for others too.
Can someone please tell who Zheng yecheng is paired with? Are they gonna show a love triangle with him and bai Ying and su mo? Or is he gonna have a cp with Na Sheng coz Na Sheng seems to be coupled up with another one of the merman.
There are things in this drama that a very typical of xianxia dramas while at the same time, so far with episodes I've watched, I also feel there are things that does not make it seem exactly as five other xianxia dramas. Similar yet different. Feel like they have a good plot at hand, hopefully as the drama progresses, script keeps up.
I came here bec of this to check if I have missed a prequel or a pilot movie or something.
Yeah same. I also came to check the comments here if I was watching some wrong version or something. But it does get better after a while if that helps. After a few episodes, it is not as badly edited as the first few.
Started watching this and two episodes in, I'm so confused coz it feels like they are skipping parts of the story and just jumping to the end of something and that keeps continuing. Literally had to go back twice and check I was watching ep 1 and had not skipped to a later one.
I'm probably one of the very rare ones or may be the only one who liked this more than one and only and I can't exactly pinpoint why but a few episodes in I knew I was gonna like it better. One and only had its charm and it was really well made and I'm a big fanatic for costume dramas and I enjoyed but I'm really over the angst and sad endings in c-dramas and towards the end I just wanted to get over with it so I could watch forever and ever.
First and foremost, gotta attribute why I liked this so much is the chemistry and also the cast. Everybody did such a good job with the acting. The pace of the story was fine for me. There was so much sweetness and I loved watching their relationship progress. I also liked for most of the drama, the antagonists and the negative parts didn't take much space. I do think it would have been better if they ended it in 24 episodes as well instead of 30. And it was refreshing to watch a romantic modern setting drama without your usual recycled ceo and girl plotline. There were moments in the drama which really resonated with me and I went wow this feels so natural so loved that too.
Oh and this and one and only was my first time watching a ren jia lun project and he really impressed me. There was an ease and gentleness to his portrayal and I'm definitely gonna go and check out more of his works after this.
Well it has a plot and the acting is great its really my favorite drama this year .if itsn't to your favor so…
Not you being agressive coming at others for liking it but when someone is basically telling you that you got your preference and people who do like it got theirs, you are acting like you are being attacked. Plenty of reviews right here talking about story, acting, cinematography, etc. but you just lumping all liking it as only caring for fan culture. Mayhaps fix your attitude first.
The whole jyz's ex coming into the picture and only to end up into something anti climactic makes it just so unnecessary. Like he randomly just came into the picture, misunderstandings happened and then you find it was to get shi lei and jin yu zhen together??? And the fact it was not even explained well like how it all happened. Could've used the two episodes before the finale in a better way. That and I wish leads could've gotten together a little sooner. Other than that I enjoyed it. It was fun.
Just finished it and have a big smile on my face. I'm very satisfied. It was emotional at moments, was dramatic ofcourse but it was also so very sweet in my opinion. I loved the main leads relationship and how it developed and I liked the supporting characters too. And one big thing that I really really appreciate is the one whole episode that was just for the ending coz I'm so tired of watching dramas that set the ending concentrated in last part of last episode. Instead here we get a whole episode that felt like an epilogue and my heart was so happy for that, I got all the closure I needed.
Kind of unrelated but I just got done watching go go squid and whenever I saw Hu Yitian my brain made me think of Wei Zheming and now that I'm watching this, I see Wei Zheming and my brain thinks of Hu Yitian. Am I the only who finds some similarity in their looks?!
Started this today and 3 episodes and good lord someone needs to stop the female lead. Saw the guy once who came to the cafe as a customer and you know I can understand you having a crush but it's like she made it her whole personality. Badgering him with messages, finding out his username for game, seeing him at airport and running behind him to find him and talk to him like he's your friend. I was feeling the second hand embrassment. Hope she gets a good character growth soon and soon as in next episode would be good.
