>>Pro version: take two drinks when Ray says, "I'm sorry."
One instance is better than none, but yeah, definitely ready for Ray to be worthy of Sand's love and attention. I *hope* that his time in rehab/therapy will be the turning point but there are still two eps to go so not sure how smooth this path will be for him/them. I will say that if they have Ray telling Sand everything he told the therapist/imaginary Sand, I will f-ing cry my eyes out. ππ

π I do not! Which is why I'm not playing this game. π I think I should have posted a disclaimer first, like the show does. "Please do not try this at home!"
But yes, Ray is *constantly* apologizing...though not sure he means it about 90% of the time.
Here are my thoughts. Maybe I was being sensitive but i noticed a lot of mistakes and the parts seemed incohesive. For…
I have to agree! I knew the thing with Sand's dad would come back, but no, not expecting to hear that Sand was suddenly going to that bar ALL the time to watch/listen to him, very strange.
Was that Boston's house where he and Nick talked outside to reconcile? I had thought it was the hostel, which seemed equally strange because the other three had told Boston he was no longer part of the project so I wasn't expecting him to show up there. And yes, while I wanted Boston/Nick back together, it was too quick.

Do you really want me to spoil it?? π Fine, it was a good cry. ππ I had heard rumors that they'd be making a second season based on the second volume so I looked for it and found it translated and for sale on this site! You can read the first part of it for free! https://www.sublimemanga.com/read/manga/old-fashioned-cupcake-2/product/909/digital. The digital copy was available to me immediately after I purchased it.
Right, like I can't believe his ex friends really believed her brother
Sure, Nick seems to understand that Boston is going to sleep around, BUT Atom accused Boston of tricking him, taking naked photos against his will (come on, just look at them), AND blackmailing him with them. I would like to think Nick wouldn't believe any of the accusations but....

You're right! And evidently I had looked it up before, The Eighth Sense, because it came up in my search bar, so I think someone else had recommended it to me as well. Added now! And glad you loved OFC as well! I recently bought the digital manga of the 2nd volume and cried over it.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out and add it to my watchlist if I think I'll like it. The name kind of makes me think there may be a supernatural aspect to it and I'm generally not keen on those, but I'll see.
Don't know if you've seen a Japanese series called Old Fashion Cupcake. It has some things in common with Moonlight Chicken but even quieter and more mature. I absolutely love it, and it's so short that it's easy to rewatch.

Yeah, let's hope so, but I also realized that, unless I'm mistaken, Nick doesn't know anything about this. Will one of the guys, or Cheum, think they are doing Nick a favor by telling him about this? Will that derail his budding relationship with Boston?
YES!!!! The hair in the eyes kills me! I thought I was the only one. πI believe that last scene where Ray was…
Yes, exactly!! I couldn't figure out WHY Sand wasn't in tears with his arms around a distraught Ray, so glad to know he's not just suddenly cold-hearted.
I don't think this is the first BL I've run across with the "Daddy" thing and UGH, it never lands well for me. Maybe it's different for them because "daddy" is an English word and not their first language, but for me....UGH.
Canβt believe Iβm saying this but GMMTV truly outdid themselves with Only Friends. Somehow it has managed…
OMG, the perfection of Moonlight Chicken. As much as I ADORE Only Friends, MC was so well done and just such a different mood from most of the other BL I've seen (which aren't very many, tbh).

I'm with you on this, and of course Cheum is going to believe her brother over the person she already thinks is a shitty ex-friend...BUT I was expecting the fact that the photos proved Atom was lying to carry more weight than...none at all. I was kind of hoping that would at least give them pause and start to wonder which one was telling the truth, but I think in their eyes Boston had already done too much.
But I will defend Boston until my last breath...so... π€·ββοΈπ
First of all, thank you, Mond, for answering correctly the capital of Brazil LOL... Second of all, I can't exactly…
YES!!!! The hair in the eyes kills me! I thought I was the only one. π
I believe that last scene where Ray was confessing everything to "Sand" was really happening in front of the rehab therapist. She had asked him to imagine the person he was doing this for in front of him, which would be Sand. I think that he actually said all of that to the therapist and that she's the one who hugged him, because it explains the flat affect of the "Sand" character. During the previews, I just couldn't figure out why Ray falling apart seemed to have ZERO effect on Sand...now I know (or think I know!).
For Dan/Nick, who I assume are over now, I was torn between ick and "well, this guy seems decent." I was pretty sure it wasn't endgame, though, so didn't get too caught up in it. I just hope that Daddy Dan (UGH) won't turn out like Atom and freak when Nick calls it off.

Classic version: take a drink when a character says, "I'm sorry."
Pro version: take two drinks when Ray says, "I'm sorry."
