Related question: where are Top and Mew when this fire starts? Initially I had thought in Mew's bed at his place, but now I looked more closely and I think it might be in Top's hotel room (because in the clip earlier in the teaser they are definitely in a hotel room's bathtub). Do we really think that someone would start a fire on purpose at the hotel just to mess with Top? That's some serious criminal intent!

Do you mean you wonder if things are going to end with Boeing either hooking up with or actually taking one of these guys? I would be VERY surprised if either of those things happened.

I love Top too (and I feel like we might be in the minority) but maybe him keeping Boeing around is partially out of narcissism, to get an ego boost, and partially because he's selfish, i.e. he doesn't want to sleep alone and this guy will drop everything to come cuddle with me when the guy I want has pushed me away. Also, maybe Top doesn't want to see how nasty his friends/exes are because that would reflect badly on him and his choices.

Of course. there's probably an even simpler explanation: chaos plot device! 😂

That totally makes sense! And I haven't watched/seen a ton of fan service, tbh, so probably can't speak to it very well, but I feel like I've seen fun stuff (like the KP holiday videos!) and I've seen uncomfortable stuff (like the fan fest tours that seem like huge musical productions but all the fans want to see are near-kisses). At this point, any actor who goes into BL is hopefully going in with his eyes open to what the fans/production companies expect, and I suspect that some of the actors are doing BL to jump-start their acting careers and they they might move out of the genre, but I could be wrong.

This is only the second time I've seen FirstKhao but their reputation proceeded them! 😀 The first was in Moonlight Chicken (which I loved) but they didn't have much screen time, and I haven't seen them in The Eclipse yet but that will be the next series I watch after OF is done.

One pairing I loved but was in a very problematic series was NetJames from Bed Friend, so I *cannot* wait to see them in Love Upon a Time!

Oh, totally get the mixed feelings about KP. 😂 It was the first series I watched so will always have a special place in my heart, but YEAH, definitely not perfect and some very f-ed up story lines. However, it set the bar HIGH as far as adult content *and* chemistry because MileApo are UP THERE for me. I would love just a cut of their storyline because I would watch the everliving HELL out of that. 😂

Well, see, I have a feeling that the actors *don't* want to do fan service but have to because that's what keeps the fans interested, but I guess I don't have any proof of that, but I don't think anyone should feel guilty about it. It's not like you or I have any say in how the agencies promote their products.

I think I have mixed feelings about the pairings. When they work, like FirstKhao, it's great because you KNOW you're in for something good, but then it also takes away the "mystery" of who they'll end up with. But when they *don't* work but the pairing is maintained, well, that's not great.

Also, I meant to say about Playboyy (and also KinnPorsche, if you've seen that) that these series are about ADULTS. I mean, sure, university students are technically adults and we're going to get more serious/interesting story lines than series set in high school, but as an adult, THIS is what I want to see more of.

Ah, then you're ever newer to Asian BL series than I am! I think I started about 4-6 months ago, but yeah, have already been watching queer content for a long, LONG time.

I will agree that the BL fans can get a bit extreme, esp wanting the pairings to be real off-screen. These are actors doing jobs and while *some* of them might be queer, the truth is that probably most of them aren't, and that's fine. If they portray hot couples in the series, that's all I ask for. 😊

Yes! I'm relatively new to BL but I've seen enough and looked up enough to understand that, much like any content producer, there are enough different types of series that everyone will find something like they: fluffy dramedies, serious dramas, series with NC content, and series with SERIOUS NC content. I get that not everyone will want to watch this (good or bad) because of the explicit sexual content, but I agree that it should give us hope!
