I disagree. I thought Moon So Ri was fantastic, but IU carried this show more than anybody else in the cast. She simiply lit up the screen when she was on it.

Both side couples in Nevertheless were great. Certainly much better than the main couple.

There are exceptions. Just to name two that come to mind, I though the second seasons of both Dr. Romantic and Missing: The Other Side were significantly better than their first seasons.

Why should she be bothered because a small minority of extremist fanatical nuts decide to criticise her?

It is. Unless you are an extremist who loves dictators because you think you will be in charge and able to wipe out everyone you don't like.

While the story doesn't sound like anything new, I'll give it a shot mainly for Seorina. I've liked her in everything I've seen her in and its been too long since I last watched her in Twinkling Watermelon.

I agree that Train was pretty good. My main problem with it was that they were so focused on making the ML seem heroic that they criminally underdeveloped the character of the FL, who as played by Kyung Soo Jin, showed a lot of unutilized potential to have played a much more predominent and interesting role in the story. I thought they actually gave her more to do as the secondary lead in Mouse than as the primary lead in Train.

It took me awhile to get into the first season because its so unusual. But eventually I stuck with it and ended up being really glad I did. Despite the use of animation, there was something very realistic and highly believable about the way they depicted her dating life. I didn't like Season 2 quite as much. Though Kim Go Eun was equally good in both seasons, I think the novelty had worn off. But also the plot lost some originality by resorting to a tropey love triangle. I'm not sure how I feel about a third season.

It has the most constant fight scenes and is easily the most graphically violent of any of the high school bullying kdramas, so its a favorite of viewers who are looking for that. Just don't expect much plot or character development. Don't get me wrong. It's very good for what it is. But there are other k-dramas that deal with the subject of school bullying in a much more serious realistic manner and with much better fleshed out characters. It comes down to what you are looking for.

Reading this comment, for a moment I thought I must be on a cetain other website that has been invaded by the usual gang of mysognistic incel trolls targetting the Snow White movie (which, by the way, is already a box office success and is doing much better among audiences than it has with critics). As regards k-dramas, I only really got interested in watching them in more recent years when they started introducing more independent assertive female characters. In many of the older k-dramas, all too often female characters were portrayed as either overly innocent nice girls with no interests or ambitions of their own beyond catching the attention of the male lead, silly airheads that get in the way of the ML, helpless damsels in distress needing to be rescued, or more seriously, regular victims of physical and emotional abuse from the male lead (excused because they are supposedly in love).

Well, I personally think the FL is extremely attractive and doesn't need to be all glammed up for her beauty to shine through. I also really get a kick out of her quirky kind of silly personality.

What matters to me as a viewer is what I like. As someone watching both shows, I personally prefer UHS to BH. For once, I'm actually in agreement with the ratings on MDL and IMDb. This is also not the first time that my preferences don't match the domestic ratings in South Korea. If all k-dramas were to be made strictly based on the preferences of the domestic market, I have to wonder if I would watch as many as I do. But if international viewers don't matter to the production companies, as some of you are saying, then I guess my opinion and whether I bother watching k-dramas doesn't really matter.

Maybe you'll like it. But I tend to like these kinds of shows and I though Hirearchy was pretty bad. A very poor immitation of Elite with a much less coherent plot and some really mediocre acting.

Pyramid Game is as good or better than any of the shows you mention (and I was a big fan of Extracurricular).

Huh? The girls I know don't act like that with even their best friends. Not with all the constant deep looks, touches, hugs and general body language. There is no open confession because with everything else going on, neither one is in a place to even contemplate starting a relationship.

That wasn't their plan. It was the father who forced the friend to pick up the scapel.

Well, they don't formally label themselves as lesbians, but unlike other kdramas I could mention, this show makes no effort to disguise that they are both physically and emotionally attracted to each other. Also, neither one shows the slightest interest in any guys and there is no mention of past boyfriends. But keep in mind that this is very much a psycological thriller and not a romance. Despite the constant large and small flirtations back and forth, the crazy circumstances they are in (very realistically) keep them from actually starting a formal relationship.

The translation on Kisskh was horrible. So unless you understand Korean, I would strongly recommend you be patient and wait for Viki to put up the rest of the episodes. I really wish I had.

I honestly don't get the criticsm that this isn't really a GL romance because it was never advertized as one. From the beginning, it was promoted as a mystery psychological thriller and that's exactly what it turned out to be - and a pretty good one at that. The fact that some people on social media were carried away because the two leads are clearly attracted to each other, have a kissing scene, and develop a connection that was more than friends, doesn't change the genre of the show. Making them a romantic couple during the events of the series would have forced a substantial change in the plot. Neither one was in any condition to start a new relationship given everything they were going through. The ending does at least strongly imply that they will likely get together now that all the crazyness was over. My biggest gripe with this show was the horrible translation in the version that I watched. I wish I had known it was going to be available on Viki.
